you need programer to read flash directly , through OBD you can't read , write only with KWP ,Galleto1260 etc.

MPPS - doesn't support read/write for these ECUs.
Never supported, AMT knows about this issue long time ago - from V4 version at least.

More thank that - these ECUs Opel EDC15 can't be read out via OBD, only write is possible via OBD.

For read - I can suggest you at least two methods:
1- external programmer - soldering work included
2- GM Tech 2 - SPS - TIS2000 - extract flash.

Just got an MPPS ver. 13.02 ... The software that comes with it is two .exe files one for ver 12 and one for 13 and no drivers or docs or....
The 13 one that tried first is about updating the firmware... so no good...
The ver. 12 installed OK and recognized the cable but has a counter of 180 tries and then it needs upgrading.

Any idea of what is the story here and how i can install ver. 13.02 and get rid of the counter?

Use version 12, the counter is "frozen''...
Version 13 is fake, there is nothing new (that really working).

I did not bought them for chiptuning but for DPF OFF.

It not make different, what you do with file(DPF off or mod) you need read/write ecu. Tool need work 100% anyway or ecu brick. I send PM for more info.

eu clone isn'T that expansive anymore.
You can get it arround 200 Euro.

For chinese Tool i wouldn't give a cent anymore. This tool has REALLY BAD qualitiy.
The chinese v5 is still the best one, if you like cheap ones with good quality.

The fgtech chinese is also much better as the v16 mpps, but depends where you buy.

yes these ones are good ones!
But i have to say it is still littly lottery....you can't say for 100% that every tool is good quality, but the most of them (alu version) where really good quality ones!

And for that money you can't do anything wrong :)

I have problem with MPPS V12 and MED9.1 ECU (GOLF 5 GTI) it give my error "Error no external voltage found" the same cable works with EDC16U34 and EDC15 without any problem.
Reading the MED9.1 from Golf 5 with Fgtech V54 works without any problem.
Work MED9.1 with MPPS V12 by you??

Genuine works with EDC17 well. My opinion is, if can't buy genuine, then should at least buy EU made clone, quality and reliable is much better than chinese's clones ever. And if not money to buy those, then need forgot remap business.

Broke old laptop, and switched to windows 7 32bit, now my MPPS V5 doesnt work on Win7. I tried compatibility mode, no luck.
Always get an "The system cannot find message text for message number 0x12fc74 in ... STUPAPI.dll"
Without patch mpps application works, but recognizes device as clone.

btw. I also have v16 that work in Win7 but V5 is better and more stable.

I am willing to learn to program ECUs in order to turn off DPF EGR IMMO and stuff like this, mainly on Peugeot, Citro?n, Opel.
I would like to learn how to read ECUs and how to create dumps.
Which interface is required? It should be nice and cheap as my budget is very limited ( im a student). Pleae advise me what to buy? Is MPPS the right choice for me vor should i prrfer buying KESS vor Galetto? I want it to work stabile and be capable to read CAN BUS.

Version i`m using is 16.1.02 and win 7 32bit.

I have MPPS ver. 13 for long time now and it worked OK via OBD in many different cars.
Today trying to read a 2007 Corsa D 1.4 engine with Bosch ME7.6.2 ECU - CAN it stops at about 60% with a message "Request out of range".
Is this a known problem and Is there any solution for it?

Hello guys, hope someone can help me out...
I just got the MPPS V16 (clone) and i´m trying to read an ECU ME1.5.5 but i´m getting 2 errors:
One is: "Maximum Number of attemps reached" (cant remember the exact error words now, but is something like this)
The other is: "Invalid Key"
When i do the ECU INFO (F1), it gives me the VIN number and version, but when i press "Read" (F2), i get these errors...
Sometimes its the 1st, other times its the 2nd one.
And it always gives me the "Error Windows" to send Log.

Can anyone tell me that this might be?
I already tried several times to read this ECU with Kess V2, but i cant read it...
This is from a Mexican Chevrolet Model (similar to EU Opel Corsa C 1.6 8V)

If anyone can give me some tips i would really appreciate...

I sent it back, bought a European clone and calmed down ....

Seen users asking for MPPS V16 that works on Windows 10.

I have the attached version working on my Windows 10 64bit laptop without an issue.

Just copy the "MPPS" folder in your C:/ directory, plug your MPPS V16 interface, run "64 Bit Driver Installer.exe" found in "Device Driver" folder and then you are good to go.

Worked for me on a couple of laptops without an issue. Not sure if its different than the other copies posted by other users, I am just uploading it as this one is tried and tested.

Its not password protected for everyone to enjoy.

My experience with MPPS is rather limited and I can't comment which is best.
V16 is the only MPPS used and seems to work just fine for a below average user as myself.

I will give V18 a try when I get a chance.

Had other problems too. Ktag is much better and secure, BDM frame costs 13€, but no need for onetime action, use your brain, and opening ECU is easy with four 5 mm screws. And I'm amateur ;-)
