Hi all, go easy on me I am a newbie and i hope this is the right section for this post. I came across this forum after doing a search on Google for instructions on how to unblock the car radio in my van so i hope someone can help me. i have viewed other topics on the forum relating to my problem and found a couple threads that have given me hope.
Two weeks ago i went on holiday and on my return to my van (a Citroen Nemo) the car radio had the sign Code, two of my so called friends tried and failed and now it says "blocked/wait" I have taken some pictures of the unit with all the car radio info, hope this is all that is needed, if not please ask and i will supply.
Lastly will this blocked message stay on the screen, can it be removed, and how if i get a code do i enter it as my mates attempts of holding down button 1 and pressing button 1 all ended up with 1111 being displayed.
Thanks in advance.

Is this what dump means, if yes i have no back up. i have no idea about mcu i am a newbie newbie, a special case.
4- What's a Dump :
In radiocar domaine a dump is a back up that you made from the m?mory of your radio ( eeprom
or mcu ) , The Extension of a dump is most of case : .HEX .BIN .E2P

don't waste your time
this radio has canbus and code
even if you get code you must put it in original car
if you have programmer there is an eeprom inside
"95320" and read it
if you can't , contact one decoder in your area
regards

The stereo is in the original car and has not been removed only when i took the pictures of all the numbers on the back but i did not disconnnect any of the wiring, but the message blocked/wait has been on the screen now for two days, i was avoiding a visit to the dealer as the nearest one to me is around eight miles and trying to fit a visit in during work is just not going to happen for now.
i am still puzzled as to how after two weeks the car radio has just come up with enter code, the battery has not died or been disconnected only thing is the engine management light is showing on the dash but this has been cleared three times by citroen hence why i dont want to make another wasted visit.

Someone may be able to give you a code from the serial number. Failing that, where are you located?

Hello Showtime,
I've been following this thread with much interest. Firstly, let me say you've been advised of the correct code: 5135.
You've said that you haven't lost power to the radio - through the usual method of disconnecting the battery.
This leads me to suspect that a fuse has blown. Your radio requires both a permanent feed and an ingnition activated feed. I would be checking for the presence of these feeds.
The fact is, with Citroens and Peugeots these days - things are getting more complecated through CanBus protocol and BSI units. I do wonder if this can be related to your engine managment light warning...
If you find your interior light not to be working - then a fuse blown would be suspect - as this is usually but not always on the same circuit as the permanent live fed to the radio.
However, I would turn your ignition key on - battery light showing on dash - switch on your radio - and wait. The radio will eventually reset - allowing for code entry. (This can take several hours)
It depends how you feel about a bit of auto-electrics caus I've rammbled on a bit here - but that's the best I could do online - hope it gives you a bit of information to work on.

Thanks and hello bonus2010 and dont worry about the rambling, its good to talk,
I have now plugged out the radio altogether and hoping by tomorrow when i return to the vehicle which should be over 12hours the car radio will reset and say enter code as it has displayed "radio blocked/wait" now for three days running, my mate who had a go around tuesday this week saw the message code after two days of waiting but then blocked it again by holding down button 1 which gave 1111. This is something else i need to learn, the instructions on how to enter the radio code as it states nothing in the manual.
The engine management light has been going on and off for around six months or so, i took the vehicle to Citroen when the light was not showing and they done there checks and said nothing is worng with my vehicle, i am hoping it breaks down so i can say "I told you so" but so far its just the stereo thats not working. interior light and everything else is fine.
I will check all fuses tomorrow and if i plug back in the car radio and it still displays the same message i will disconnect the battery for a couple of hours whether this helps or is a waste of time i just dont know, but driving for a living with no radio is a little annoying, even more when you just bought a new batch of cds to play and it has one of your favourites stuck inside it lol.
PS: i somehow think also that the car radio is blocked for good as two attempts that i know of have been made and failed, i also use the van daily for work and at any one time the set can be on constantly for upto 3hours as i am driving around, and in the ladt three days it has not reset or come up with the message enter code.

Hello showtime
Listen, listen, listen - your radio will never reset through being disconnected... It needs to be powered up, and left undisturbed. - without touching any of the keys.. or the ignition. Each time radio is disturbed the time delay counter is reset and starts from scratch..The time needed could well be 24 hours. Often when I've wanted to reset a radio where I couldn't be bothered opening it up to reset the eprom chip, I've removed it from the vehicle and connected it to a separate power supply.
Code entry:- I don't have your code in front of me right now, but if it were for example 3412, you would press PRESET 3, PRESET 4, PRESET 1, PRESET 2 -- and the radio would automatically activate.
When leaving the radio to reset by being powered up - you need to be sure that both feeds are present - if not, it will never reset. So check your fuses - and if possible use a power probe to check for power at the power ISO plug of the radio harness.

Tomorrow will now be a week that my car radio has shown the message "Radio Blocked/Wait" so i am gathering that my two friends who had a go have blocked it permanently, if anyone knows a way to remove this message so i can try out the code provided in this post 5135 i would be grateful, other than that i have tried today two Car Audio Specialist, one who called two decoders one said "i have not done one but i will give it a try" the other said "it cant be done".
I also went out my way and visited my not so local Citreon Dealer, explained the situation to a mechanic/technician who referred me to the service counter, who was then baffled, done a search on his computer system to see the solution for a blocked Radio, and told me i would have to leave the car with him for an hour for them to investigate, which i know will cost and arm and a leg.
think its time to give up

Thank you thank you, after two months, the van off road i went back into the van and it had reset as i had given up earlier, i entered the code wrong the first time but second time it worked so now its:party :
JUST A TIP: if your Nemo Car Stereo blocks the quickest way to get it to reset, is to leave the car running, it can take anything from 10mins to 2hours depending on how many times you have entered the code wrong, (do not switch it off) but it does work. this is only if you dont have a bench indoors or some good software.
Thanks to all

Would the citeron dealer not be able to re code it for me over the phone ?. Its weird that the code is not in any of the paperwork for the vehicle .
If it needs to come out to get serials etc then would i need special tools to remove the radio, or could i just poke implements into the holes and pull?
I am up for having a go at removing it if anyone thinks they could get a code for me. It would be a lifesaver.
