i'd say it's a fueling problem if not revving & smoking. what colour is the smoke?

just black diesel smoke , if u leave the key on it revs high for a few seconds then dies

will it run if you remove intercooler hose to inlet manifold - poss air starvation throwing air/fuel mixture out?

Just for a small amount of time required to check.
Passenger side foot well, remove ecu, open look for dry joints
If it has a 'tuning box' daisy chained to ecu remove it (stick it on ebay)
You are lucky you have managed to get one to code read.
THINK but might be getting confused with trooper
when you do the cluch, you have a bit of metal 'left over' holds the loom away from the (THINK) bell end housing.

ne sensor = cam sensor
boost sensor -- check for 5volts and ground .
if the Ne SENSOR is bad or wiring the tach will not work .
