I would think is is meant AMG Logo on the NTG1's screen (boot screen) - Which is possible and easy to do.

In Developer mode you need to go to Entwickelingsdaten - > ansteueringen -> Gesamstliste aller Ansteuerungen

to see how many times brake has been pressed there is a line that says: Bremsenzahler (DJ_GetBrLive)

then 1 line down there you see Bremsenzahler aktualisieren und Lebensdauerzahler F neu berechenen -> click it !
Parameter uINBR = 0
then click F3

1 line down Bremsenzahler auf beliebigen Wert setzen (DJ_SetNBr) -> click it
Parameter uINBR = 0
then click F3


then scroll down untill you see the line's :

Lebensdauerzahler F neu berechenen (DJ_CalcLiveTime)

Could you please give me some hint how to get to that adjustment ? I am just 5 days old with Xentry :)

Also, I'd like adjust clock for a few minutes (it is not accurate since I disconnected battery for some fix) ..I don't have original COMMAND with GPS - only Kenwood aftermarket ...:giveup:

I am doing every six months ...It is connected to GPS but I have separate GPS (through aftermarket HU) and clock is not moving automatically - in other words, I am OK in this moment but the problem is related if my clock get off for a few minutes. In this moment, I have to put COMMAND back, GPS and synchronize time ..I thought that Xentry could save me time and perform change automatically ...

Frankly I don't care what you have :) but obviously you got problems with this setup. I'm happy with a working NTG1 COMAND with Bluetooth, VIM, Dual-Layer DVD/CD-ROM and what else it got (as everyone knows). Oh most importantly, no problems with the clock.

You forgot to mention at least the Navigation menu at the cluster and complete integration with steering wheel buttons.

If NTG1 is not good enough, NTG2.5 would add features but for car navigation and entertainment NTG1 should already be good if one makes good use of its capabilities.

These are all the reasons why I add OEM options only to my car myself. I would never settle with 3rd party parts and that is one very important reason you mentioned (the complete integration of all components within the car's system).

In Oil change there are two options of what oil quality (using DAS) you have used for the oil change,
Depending on the oil used you get either 16000 or 25000 Km interval.
MB dealerships usually do not give any attention... Sad but true..

You don't even need SD to do that. Everyone can do that with the steering wheel buttons and the CI.

Same with what G. said. You can extend the interval time in your CI ;) Saves a ton of money if you go in 6k km later each time.

I think they reset something beyond going service reset on dashboard (uh, if I am correct you are saying engine that you have new filter and computer is taking in consideration).

I am familiar with procedure going on steering wheel but I thought that I can perform step further ...

as for reset interval, I am not sure how to get 16,000 km after oil change. When I complete oil change, I put 'full service' and reset. After that, new interval is 25,000 km. When I did it in service (past), I ALWAYS got 16,000 km ...

Once I have attention, is any help related to DAS/Xentry or we have to try find lighter in dark room :) ?

I'm not a shop owner who does maintenance work so I have no idea how to reset these intervals. I'm doing retrofits on cars and do the corresponding things instead. So I apologize if I can't be of much help in regards to your service interval question beyond what I said already.

there is no way to enable to disabled key track in dev mode only way you must read the ezs chip and and change some bits.
i have done once i took a ezs from other car and read the chip data after that i blocked all the key by star and re read the chip so which data was changed the same data i changed in orignal ezs.
i mentioned this because i dont remembe the address of those bits;

I tried it with SD 07/2011 in Dev. mode but system asks for a offline code or as server connection.

Is this only possible with older SD versions?
With my Version always Xentry starts when i choose the W204.

I thought you can do this without SD. Check a local dealer out and ask them but I'm sure it's possible.

yes the DC could do it, but the Comand is retrofit, so they want about 150 Euros for the FW update,. they say it?s an increase of the functionality (TMC pro)

I think it is only a DLL or a INI file that must be modify.

In your case why don't you drive down the road to a dealership? You are dealing with your brake system, your life and other's lives.

Working on a car for fun or as a hobby is totally fine IMHO but with these problems I don't comprehend why some think they are cool by saving some bucks while risking the ultimate.

What was the outcome of your request for replacement (goodwill, on warranty claim, etc.)? If denied did you contact MB's customer care center in the Netherlands? You got options my friend!

After disable the passenger seat sensor in a w211 with Das developer and clear all faults the red light in the dash and SRS advice still on.
The car have no faults.

SRS is controlled by the airbag control module. If you have a fault lets say in your MOST ring and your telephone module is disconnected from the airbag module thereof you can get this error. I'm not saying that's the problem you are having but it could be.

The initial problem is the Passenger seat sensor. the car actually don't have a single fault. I really don't understand when can have a malfunctions warning in dash without problems detected by Star diagnosis.

Go into the Airbag control unit in DAS and hit fault code and event (codes) and see what it says. I can hardly believe that SRS light is on and no one single error is stored.

The red SRS light blinking in Instrument cluster means airbag module is still unlocked. (entriegelt)
As soon this is lock to verhicle ( verriegelt) blinking will stop.

Yes MOST is for multimedia but in this case the airbag control unit is connected with the teleaid control module and the teleaid control module is part of the telecommunications system which is part of the MOST ring. That's the only way the car can dial 911 or another emergency number which is set in the teleaid control module respectively when the airbag(s) deploy. As soon as the MOST ring was properly configured and all devices woke up properly the error didn't come back (after I cleared the error codes).

I retrofitted the dual TV tuner into my car and had the MOST ring disconnected on several locations and had the problem described.

you must ceck if you have differential pressure sensor (are some models who have only lambda).If you don't have that sensor you don't have possibility to regenerate.

This should work for all W639 till AJ08

In Developer mode tested version 10-2008)

In engine control unit:
Entwicklungen (Development data) ->F3
Password : flexecu ->F3
Steuergerate - Anpassungen (Control unit adaption) ->F3
Steuergerate-Anpassungen (Variantencoderierung) ->F3
VCD_Transporter->F3
a Pop-up tells you : "Mindest eine Codiereinstellung ist ungultig" confirm -> OK

Here you will find the option settings
write down the line that is blue.
For example : NSG or NAG_Klima_Wasserstandschalter

Now we search for the string that contains the same options + Tempomat and Begrenzer
So that will look like : NSG or NAG_Tempomat_v-Begrenzer_Klima_Wasserstandschalter
Once you find it , click it and confirm with ->F3
"Soll die Codierung in Steuergerat ubertragen werden ?"->F3
JA or YES->F2 to proceed

Now we log out the engine ecu and go to the :
Instrument Cluster ( Kombi instrument) (Magnetti Marelli)

Steuergerate-Anpassungen (Variantencoderierung) ->F3
Variantencoderierung Algemeine Daten->F3
Scroll down untill you see "Limiter" set to Ja or Yes ->F3
F2 -> F1 -> F1
Ansteuerungen -> Gesamstliste aller Ansteuerungen ->
Scroll down untill you see the line : Steuergeraet Resetten (PowerON-Modus) (FN_Reset_SG_Power_ON)
Press F3 and confirm again with F3
Now you will see the "Kombiinstrument" reboots

Cruise control coding is added succesfully to your W639 now

I had problem with W211 SBC, it has "power on reset" or similar dtc , becouse battery was flat ,cannot erase this dtc normally.
dtc erased with developer, but sbc lost SBC HOLD function.

I have a problem with a 2011 w204 benzin engine.
car has caught on fire, so my customer replace engine, ECM and ESP control unit. I virginized ECM, adapt with STAR no problem, but for ESP, it don't want to adapt as there is an other VIN in module (used unit). is there a way to adapt to vehicle (without SCN coding if possible) if I don't have access to old unit (it is totally burn).
in other word, is there a way to make ESP unit virgin with developper function?

I would like to be able to re-adapt used ESP unit! if my only problem is SCN coding, we are able to find solution. but for now, my main problem is about VIN in unit.
so looking for a way to virginise unit or change VIN at least!

How to add Cruise control to Vito after 2008..WITH Developer tested with 01/2011 DAS

Log into vehicle.
Select ESP
Go to Control unit adaptations
Select Cruise control
select Cruise Contol ON - Or with Winter tyre limiter
click F3 then F3 again.
Coding complete

If you don't have the cruise control option in that screen then -
Log into ESP
Go to Development data
Go to Control unit adaptations
select Control unit adaptations (Variant coding)
Click on Laengsregler Kodierung
select Tempomat Ein or Tempomat und Limiter ein
Click F3 and F3 again - Coding complete

To check that it is on in IC start vehicle and press the limiter in on the stalk and see if the limiter display shows on the instrument cluster ( in KM usually) in the middle display.

If not - Can message is not set to see cruise from ESP. you need to set the IC.

Log into IC
Go into Development data
Go to Control unit adaptations
Go to Control unit adaptations (Variant Coding)
Select Variantenkodierung
See Line that says - Limiter tempomat signalquelle <It should say NOT VIA CAN ESP MESSAGE
If it says ESP CAN MESSAGE then look at other units.>
Select ESP CAN MESSAGE
Click F3 then F3 again then F2
Coding is done.

Check Also in ECU coding to make sure that it is on.
Log Into vehicle
Log into ECU
Select control unit adaptations
Read coding and change if necessary
If it tell you it has Cruise control - then exit
If not scroll down the list and turn it on - Like - Manual Transmission-cruise control-Air conditioning <EXAMPLE
Then F3 and F3 again then it is set.

To test with STAR - Log into EZS and iun actual values see Cruise control and move the stalk to see if it works properly!

After all of this if it doesn't work check Clutch pedal switch and brake switch for good contacts!

You need password free tool. Here in somethread have been discussed , to enter inside Special Functions menue.And disable AKSE there...... And ofcoz pull out 3-wire cable.

1 - In Dev mode go to Control unit adaptations
2 - select menu HGB

3 - see drop down list of speeds

4 - select desired amount and press F3 and then yes.

5 - go back to normal mode and into control unit adaptations and maximum vehicle speed.

6 - see new value and go get some speeding fines!

I bought a SD Connect C4 and installed Xentry 09.2012 with a dev key (given by this forum :party:)

I tried to find how to remove/upgrade the speed limit.
I only found this in dev variant coding :

Anything else needs a special file generated by AMG/Mercedes sent to your authorized dealership for version coding. And that dealership has to be a dealership, not a mom and pop shop. MB/AMG will not send it to just anyone.

Does anyone know how to sync the analogue clock on a w209 /w203 instrument cluster?

Learned a replacement cluster and now analogue clock is about 5 hours out.

another hicup is that the car is diesel and cluster came out of petrol, rev counter is now inaccurate.

Check COMAND/Audio50 that head unit sync is enabled. This could also be in settings menu of CI (not sure since I don't have a 203, only 211).

If not, you can enable headunit/analog clock sync with SD.

Hello. I need to switch off catalyst control on W211 2002 E240 (ME2.8). In simulation mode i tried following:
- developer mode
- Control unit coding
- Variant coding
- Explizite Kodierung ME28 F2-Stand
- W211_50 menu and here i have several options:
1. W211_M113_E50_oKat_AG_VGB_EHB
2. W211_M113_E50_FTPE3_AG_VGB_EHB
3. W211_M113_E50_LEV_05_AG_EHB
4. W211_M113_E50_LEV_05_AG_ART-EHB
5. W211_M113_E50_ULEV_05_AG_EHB
6. W211_M113_E50_ULEV_05_AG_ART-EHB

I think 1st variant is for me. Is it correct?
If so, can i safely do it in the car? Are there any additional procedures to be performed?

This procedure does not work, as it probably requires reflashing the Instrument Cluster with firmware of a AMG Instrument Cluster, and probably doing SCN coding afterwards. Tried it on a W221 S-Class, nothing happened. Sorry guys

Hi guys. I have an 09 E350 (USA) with the "low-line" tpms (code 470). I have been successful in enabling the function of seeing actual tire pressure readouts in the IC. My problem is, after about 18 hour or a day or so, I lose the enhanced display and it goes back to just saying "tire pressure monitoring system active" in the IC. Why does this keep diverting back? To get it to show the tire values, I coded the N88 (tpm) module from low-line to mid-line (tire pressure sensor without position related values to tire pressure sensor WITH position related values). I then performed an initial start of that module, confirmed all the right serial numbers were correct for each of the 4 tires (which it already knew), and restarted the unit. Then, I went into the CGW and finally the coding would show up for "tpms WITH position related values". I selected that, and saved it to the module. Instantly, the correct tire pressure showed up on the display. I did not have to enable in the IC menu "tire pressure display". It just would automatically work. When I did enable that option, I would get 2 tpms screens....one that worked (had the diagram of the car with the actual values) and the next one was an error, tmps system unavailable, visit workshop. So I unchecked that option in the IC developer menu. After the tire pressure pictogram would go away, I went in and checked for error logs. The TPM module had 2 errors, basically referring to the two front antennas (left wheel arch/right wheel arch) being faulty. Would these DTC codes disable the midline system and automatically push it back to the low line system? I went into the coding's and everything was coded back to low line. If I add the two front wheel sensor antennas, would this option then work without mysteriously disappearing? I believe the low-line system uses one centrally located antenna on the bottom of the vehicle, around the back seat area. When I go into DAS, and go to actual values, it will tell me the current tire pressure, g's, air temp in the tire, etc for EACH wheel just fine. It seems like this could work with just one antenna. Any thoughts or opinions appreciated. Its a Siemen's module with Siemen's (315mhz) sensors.thanks!

New Siemens system uses 1 center antenna outside bottom under the rear seats and 2 antennas in wheel housing front. I assume you retrofitted the system yourself?

Nope, this is strait from the factory on my 09 W211. I assume I have to add the two front antennas in the front wheel housings to prevent the DTC's from showing up, and possibly shutting down my pictogram??? That's the only thing I can think of.

Negative: since you ordered your car through a dealer and they build it upon your specs and wishes (SA codes) the antennas are there. This is not common that an American orders his car through a dealership and waits up to 5 months until the car has been assembled (they go to the dealership and select one from the lot usually because they can't and don't want to wait) :)

And I am amazed that you don't understand that there is a difference between the SBC reset and your problem. Otherwise you would know how to fix it by now by reading and applying page 1, post 4 :)

The car in question is being worked on by a guy with nearly 30 yrs experience on Mercs.

He has only genuine Star, so you will know that this "repair" is a function only of developer, not normal star.

He asked for my assistance, I will loan him my developer star to do the job if its possible, hence thats why I asked the question.
[I did a search before, but didnt find the answer].

I was under the impression that the brake pedal always locked when it timed out, as the guy new exactly the problem, evidently the "correct" mercedes fix is to replace the unit.

I havent seen, nor wish to see, the vehicle in question. I am trying to help someone.

Time adjust it?s made by GPS signal, if you don?t have GPS anymore then car must be coded without GPS, i don?t know where, maybe in EZS or ZGW.

Incorrect. If you have a navigation system in then time change DOES NOT apply automatically. Reason for this is because GPS satellites do not have time change capability and therefore they don't send out signals or the like for time changes. And the reason for this is bc not every country or even states or provinces within countries do have daylight savings times/standard times time changes.

Not possible bc ECU is a theft relevant part. Only a official dealership can help you if you bring proof of ownership of the vehicle! They then will contact MB in Stuttgart, Germany!!!

I have this same problems and I can't even unlock ecu because it tells me same "security access denied". I use das 2013.5 developer mode, can it be too new version etc.

I have tried actuations (simDAS) @ "development\complete index of actuations" and always it told me result=0. I have tried w210, w211 and EGS/AB/... Do I need some fix or what is problem? I have installed AddOns 2777,2779,2781,2782, do I need more or do I have all of addons? I'm confused about this situation..
