To work offline you need the data disks not just the updates, STW 2009b, rerr disks, data disks are all here on DK It's free so go for the whole deal the ,CBT is wonderful the first time you use it you will be hooked. If you need help just ask.

Does the admin userID/pass work to make a user id with your SIS? And are you clicking on the SIS user admin and inputing the user/pass there? If it don't work on yours can you try your friends to try to fix it. Personaly I would upgrade to STW 2009b and start over, I know it's a lot of work but you have done more work to get 2008a going.

Thanks Wristpin, Stryker and RS I still had no luck with importing usernames on 2 different laptop hard drives so I tried on my Desktop and worked no probs so tried again many many times on laptops using same procedure and still no joy.Finally figured the only difference between DT and LT,s was DT is running Mozilla and LT,s int explorer so downloaded mzoilla on both nad reloaded sis and et and it works.Tried without uninstalling sis and et but had too,dont know why.Many Thanks to you for all your help.col

Torqueman, You're trying to use the given User admin for SIS STANDALONE to log in in www.truck.cat.com (http://www.truck.cat.com). This is not possible m8. You need to have an account like user ID and password which is usually given to Caterpillar Dealers. I don't think anybody here will give you that ID and Password as it was monitored by caterpillar. If someone brave enough to share his cat corporate website account then we're lucky... cheers m8.

Don't know but it looks like you need a .xml file(user login)

You can try one from this thread and see if it works, not sure if it will since your sis is so old.

When you open SIS you click on import users, click browse, find the SISlogin.xml file, a window will come up check the user name than click import. than it will take you to a login screen, put in user name and pass, click login and done. Make sure you extract the arcive file and import the SISuserlogin.xml file only. Tell me if it works. And please click the thanks button.

Anyone have issues installing full sis2009b? I can get Et and Sis to work good. But not cbt,ta,and stw launchpad it has error's when opening programs. I have windows7 home premium installed on laptop. Now I installed sis2009b on another laptop with windows7 professional and it opens all sis2009b programs like cbt,ta,and stw launchpad. I tried compability mode but nothing. Just wondering why I can get full sis2009b to work on windows7 professional and not home basic edition. Does it have to do with windows at all or can I fix this?

It is not the xml file, it is how your impoting it. Click import user, click browse find the xml file in your documents doubleclick it, you shoud see the user name there, check the box next to it, click import. Try this and let me know.

browse for ur xml ..then load it. restart sis and u should see the login page again and use username and password rswire give to u.

Why would you be double-clicking the .xml file? Do not touch the file. Just import it to SIS!!!!

Start SIS, click on "Import SIS Users" and select the xml file and you're all set. Log in and use as normal.
