Wen you started was the program pp2000 version number 22 or was it v21

as it was 21, you must first install version 22.14

I tried to update 346.56 (or .58, I don't remember) to 346.68 but it doesn't work.

The installation of .68 works fine, but when lexia starts it doesn't say that is currently installing the update, nor it reports 345.68 as a version number. It still says 346.56...

well I have try to do the same thig as you, at this time I have just tested the peugeot software,

the first thing I saw in your new post is that you have removed, the name "scarymistake" in the "version" file. thinks a lot for that.

So I have do the update from the peugeot 22.14, to 23.78.

I have exactly the same thing as you for the folder "MAJDIST"
but you have some thing more : in the forder "OUTILREP", you add that file : "majdist.tmp", and I don't have it when I do a normal update, what it is used for ? the file contains that :
"23.78|\APP\MAJDIST"
could you explain me why do you ad that please ?

when I do my peugeot update, I saw that the size of the folder "Extract" in the folder "PPS" changed during the updating,
You do not take it for your update, is it normale ? I thinks it important because this folder is not here just for "extracting" files, some of them stay in that folder.

it for the Lexia software,
about the file "outil.inf" in the "LEXIA" folder,

in it you have that :

maybe you shoud change because it's now 346.78,
but my question is about client and ComputerId,

a ComputerId is for one pc, and only one,
so if we that your ComputerId, does our ComputerId will change to be the same as you ?
about the client also, it's not important to put something like AB0012 for example ?

when we'll activate our software, maybe this file will change and put in it what we wrote for the activation ?

Can you say what is excitedly your problem, to be honest i did not understand.

Are you trying to Active the PP2000 and Lexia3 and having problem ?

As for your Computer Id that will never change as that is your computer Id.

But, yes every time you open the PP2000 or Lexia3 program before Activation, it will keep changing the Server Request Code.

As for Customer code if you have already had this program before on this computer than when you try to active it should come up with the customer code, and if its not there than you can use CM001 and it will work fine.

Is your internet network good ?

It could be its disconnecting while you updating but, if you close the program and reopen it again and try again updating by making sure the internet i fine it should work.

I just try to know some diffences betwen the original update (with the pps/lexia softwares), and the files taht scarymistake give to us.

I all,

I wrote a message today because I have done one thing,

I have two identical laptop,
on the two laptop I had installed pps and lexia, (v22.14 an v345.13)

with one of them, I have done the updates with wifi,
and with the second, I have done the update with scarymistake files, (v23.78 an v346.78)

normaly, the size of the updated folders (APP and APPLIC) should the the same for the two laptop...but no.

For the thirst laptop with wifi update

APP : 2.26Go (2 428 010 588octets)
APPLIC : 3.00Go (3 223 410 810octets)

and for the laptop with sarymistake updates :

APP : 2.10Go (2 258 387 377octets)
APPLIC : 2.75Go (2 963 852 718octets)

so if some one can tell me why there is a big difference between the to size, I foud a folder used for the extraction of files for the wifi laptop, but there are other things differents,

please, if some one could explain me why the wifi laptop is seems to run well, because he don't have all of the files !

This is a solution for the ones that are receiving this error message:
The new Java Plug-in requires a recent version of the Firefox browser (Firefox 3 or later).
Search for the file "all.js", you will find it in two directories named Pref. Open the files with wordpad and search for the line pref("security.enable_java", where the default value is true. You will have to modify it in false on both files. After that save and run application.

I have done couple of them after update....no problems at all. Not with petrol engines or diesel, even had one with factory fitted gas conversion. All is working lik charm!

I have done couple of them after update....no problems at all. Not with petrol engines or diesel, even had one with factory fitted gas conversion. All is working lik charm!

@ Larue i did the Same and in the PPO there occurs the problem!just with the Partner M59 (no probs in Lexia 3 as PBerlingo 2)
The problem reported a WINCAD problem - File (sorry i don't remember the numbers) BSI - I think maybe a downloaded File was faulty for exact this BSI - so problem occured (I'm sure it was a .dll file)

(before I had 23.78 and 346.78)

and now, when I start pps or lexia my antivirus (antivir) tell me that there is a trojan in that dll :

is somebody have this detection also ?

Configurations for BSI and ECU are working with clone for me. I have changed a lots after they are losing configurations caused by flat batteries or other reasons.

Hmmmm..... I haven't done any other keywork, just activated after first Scary update and put another one above it without activation.
I think it's worth to reinstall all things from neww. Just after uninstall delete folder APP from C disc partition and start from new.

I currently run Lexia3 345.12, have downloaded the Lexia exe file from 1st post and creasted iso, mounted iso and installed file from virtual drive without problems and exactly the same as you video.

However when I open up lexia, it does not see or install any updates and just runs exactly as before.

Can you please advise as I have just done the PP2000 update exactly the same and that worked OK

Been using my interface for about 12 months on all vehicles up to about 2009 models with no faults what so ever.

Eventually updated last night as per instructions, all went well and activated etc, shoed correct versions etc.

However having plugged it in to 3 vehicles today;
2009 - Peug 207
2003 - Citroen C2
2002 - Citroen Saxo

I could not gain comms with any control units, to the point I did full global scans on all 3 vehicles and it would only make comms with engine controller on all 3 but nothing else.

Have since uninstalled and reinstalled with original versions I was running and all back to normal, they may be a very good explination, however I cannot afford to be out on the road with a tool that I dont trust or that does not work.

i tried the pp2000 update to 24.01 on a pug 607 2005 to check an abs problem and got the 'error no communication' fault. first time ive experienced this. tried diff pc with v21.14 and it worked first time. have since tried the 24.01 on a 206 2001 and it worked fine.
i have a feeling there are some errors somewhere in this software. anyone any ideas wether its the base prog v22.14 or the update?
what other models/modules are the faults occurring on?

i just did the fallowing steps:

+ installed v22
+ installed 24.09

after that, pps reports that it can?t communicate with my car (207 hdi90 full can).

i experienced that problem already when i updated to 24.01.
but it worked again when i uninstalled the actia interface driver and installed it again.

with 24.09 this little "trick" didn't help....

I don't know if this issue is caused by my computer or the update (or maybe by me:hmmmm2:)

anyway on my laptop with 24.01 my interface still works....

As promessed have updated My clone and tryed on two cars.
1. Peugeot 307, year 2001, engine RHS(siemens SID308)
2. Peugeot 207 year 2004, engine RHY (Bosch EDC).
After update PP2000 was asking for registration, old "pill" is still working, so that's successfull.
All modules recognized, all working like charm!!!:thefinger:
Noticed some new face on first screen of "Monster" parade - some 5008....seems about like 806.

Hmmm...have You tried uninstall PP2000 and start installation from 22.14?
Just after uninstall You should delete folder APP from disc C and restart computer. Any antivirus, firewall and stuff like this should be switched off.

I would say there is something wrong with Your installation disc. Haven't seen any problems with 22 release installation. I've got it installed on about 3 laptops, reinstalled several times and it's working without problems.
I think it's worth to get same version from Internet and then see what's happens.

Did you make a fresh 22.xx install or did you update from version 23.95?

You don't need to uninstall it from disc. With some patiency You can delete folder APPLIC from partition C and start new installation. At least it's working for me.

today i installed v22.14 by clicking "InstPC.exe" but got an error message "The installation of your application failed. Please restart the work station and repeat the installation. If the procedure fails again, contact the assistance helpline".

It failed again after restarted. then i click on "setup.exe" and it started to install and completed.

Is my installation process correctly done? (I can't test it yet coz my interface is with my buddy).

my friend have purchased same clone and updated software via internet ( software give "update success") , now after plug it into cars can not autoread vin, from lots of veicles like 206, 5008, c3 1st and 2dn ecc ecc...
he can only insert vin manually, but can diag only with injection module.
all the other parts are blocked (message "not connected").

Hmmm...do You mean updates from Citroen website? With update by Internet from Citroen website You will always get message "Updated Sucessfully", but You can't work after that. That's why Mr Scarymistake is making "special" updates for us!

I mean that lexia software (also pp2000) ask if you want get an update, and you clic yes, then it start an automatic update from server.
However, can he unistall now and reinstall the old software, just to save the interface (or the interface is blocked forever?)
the is some method to completely uninstall?

Just uninstall PP2000 software from Add and Remove programs and then delete APP folder from disc C. There is no option to uninstall Lexia from there. So just delete APPLIC folder from disc C ( it's not so easy and it will take some work) and reinstall both programs from new.

in order to prevent our systems from communication over the internet, is there a known .exe file or something from pps that we could block over a firewall?

I think that would nice to know, as this may avoid damage to our systems...

You don't need internet when working with any of these programs.You need it only for registration for couple of minutes.I haven't seen any damages from these programs or Scary's updates.

After install, lexia states (top left hand corner) V.1.4.5 and PP2000 states (top left hand corner) V.1.9.4. Is this base software V345 and V22.14? As i have updated both softs with the updates from this thread and versions stay the same on both. Should i see a newer version on the softwares? Thanks

Hmmm.....will check tomorrow at work exactly, but after each update it's asking for registration and when I'm registering Program every time it coming up with newer version and I can see new models on first page. So I think it's changing versions.
Tomorrow I will check and will post some printrscreens with version numbers.

Citroen Lexia:

Lexia Version: 347.08

Peugeot Planet Office:

That's how first screen is looking on My Peugeot and Citroen installations after last Scary's updates.
Just now noticed Your question about updates installation.
You must make image file from update exe file, then mount on virtual disc drive and start update from there.

Solution is simple! Just put in whatever You like and finally OK!

So....for Lexia. It don't need any dealership details and working as it is. For PP2000 as I told just put whatever You like. Must fill all windows marked by * .
Attached file is printscreens from computer which I had installed yesterday in our workshop. Sorry, I have missed dealership screen on PP2000, but as You can see it's all working.
By the way there will be some interesting printscreens from Citroen Berlingo van. Somebody has overwritten and repaired BSI. ....and there is result!:devil:

Those pictures on printscreens are coming from updated programs. Yesterday I did installations and Scary's upgrades. So I can confirm once more - All is working just great!
That machine is permanently connected to internet and there are no problems with that, just had uninstalled Internet Explorer 8 ( thanks Mr Patrian). That's all.

Those printscreens are from 06 plate Berlingo. Newest Peugeot/Citroens what i have diagnosed with this are about year 2008. And all is still working. To be honest I have wery long,bad and painfull story with My Lexia/PP interface which finally turned very well for Me. I have read threads where people complaining about can't read this and can't read that, have seen chinese adapters for full CAN cars and vans. My interface working just perfect. It just working. I'm working with it more than year and it never let Me down. But who nows for how long it will work( touch wood).Just to get all things right took me nearly year.
Thanks to all DK members which has shared and still sharing their experience!

PP2000 and Lexia3 go to the year 2010 and from now the stopt the updates
whant now we have DiagBox insead of PP2000 and Lexia3
So the newest cars are not coming in PP2000 andLexia3
