Hi guys,

I have the problem with my Xprog-M. When I use it with Motorola hco5b6 (3D33J), hc05x32 (1d69j), or (0d53j), it can read the content of these chips, but cannot write. I use adapter for HC05 attached. Any ideas ?

Thank You in advance :willy:for help .

HI, I bought it from China factory :). One idea which came to my mind I had forgot about it additional power supply 15 V. Perharps hc05 requires this. I need to check it

So, this is the solluton, AC 15V adapter and works fine.

Best Regards Friends.

Sorry for digging up an old topic, but the question I have is the same.
I have a XPROG-m clone, HC05 processors can read but can not record, gives me an error.
I'm using a 12v supply that came with the XPROG-m, wonder how many amps have to be the source of 15v.
15V AC Amp:?
Thank you all.

After soldering clean chip and board and use good usb cable.I noticed that with some usb cables X-prog can not read and verify corect.

With Xprog docs goes one pdf file with connections to hc05x32 , take a look on MCU pins and correct schematic a little bit, than lift 19,21,30,36 pin and don't forget to connect vcc. Good luck

Unfortunately I could not solve this problem with HC05.
Bought XPROG Box, eldb and am satisfied.
Well worth the investment.

For me it works like this very well, I've described on other post as well. It works even on usb power only, with no power adapter at all. I've read and write successfully HC705Bxx with xprog adapter, only need to bridge with two wires like in picture (see datasheet, PD4 pin must be ''high'' also, on adapter it wasn't). Now I'm struggling with HC05Bxx. Still getting verify error on my xprog but that's another story...

ON TOPIC:-

Had one of both in hand the other day, the paper boy managed to get the 0J33D off the board, brought the dump he had got on the back of a fag packet, usb only, binggo worked perfect

Only problem is he nor us can get the sodding chip in the correct place on the board.

Just got recently my xprog-m (orig from TMT) and haven't try those MCU's yet, cause using CARPROG (course orig!) on them with success by connecting only 4 wires (RX,TX,VCC,VDD) even manual show 8 or so, blah, blah, blah...
Course destroyed few of them with testing :)
No lift, no solder! Just four wires...
Maybe xprog-m is capable to do it the same way???
Will SEE !! :drunk:

ON AND OFF TOPIC:-

So with the carprog, what about the crystal freqency?

How did you destroy them?

Thankssss

Frequency always on auto mode in this case. Btw. that option in CP (manual frequency setup) never helped with others Motos.. it's either read, read bad or don't read..:hmmmm2:
Seems to be worthless at all... compare to, let say UPA, where U can see the changes. Oh and CP will ask for external pwr automatically. Sometimes on diff. Motos it won't ask, but r/w only with it :hmmmm2:.. So I assume that is the best to have always ext. pwr. connected for Motos.

And destroying... hmm.. Three years ago, when I started this fun, have some spare boards (working on the junkyard).. so I play with them hard :) Lifting pins, putting back, lifting again with soldering iron, even removed whole chip with torch (no proper tool yet) :) So few burned and with broken legs goes to the trashcan :)
Since I find proper way, I never have issues with HC05 and CP. Fact is that I mostly worked on hondas. Other cars could be different.
But now, with xprog, I must find more spare boards :joyous:

Yeah come off in seconds, but took me like 3 hours to get the sod back on the board.
the board looked like a Mexican wave and pins with solder links like the teeth from the film 'Jaws' BUT it worked, just hope that chip never drops off.

Sort of helped was a SMALL blob of 'instant gasket' to make the chip 'stiff' had time to move it.

PremierD is not alloud to reply to this post if it involves gloating about reming a 128 QFPP off and back on in 5 mins.
