Need help with modus/clio electrical steering ECU

Hello.
I need virgin dump for steering ecu or someone who know how to edit VIN and other things in dump. I bought used but in good conditon steering ecu from modus 2006 and I try to edit only vin number but after that UCH don't recognize steering module, is there any checksum ??

I need to put vin : VF1JP0F0532793150
to dump bellow.
Eeprom is 24c16

Car is Renault Modus 2005 1.5 dCi LHD

Program eeprom with virgin dump.
Mount module in the car.
USE CLIP :
Enter the settings in the module of electrical steering and find "write vin number"
Click program, write or something like that and it works.
You may still have errors becouse you must go to procedure of "Learning sensor-turn" or something like that.
After that, you will have well working electrical steering.

But what I noticed, eeprom in my old steering module (2005) is diffrent, this works probably only with later steering mount after 2006

Just a thought this is NOT a steering lock its the actual steering column. Are you mixing it up with the megane 2 steering lock?

Hi,
the modus and the clio 3 (latest shape) share the same column. I have come accross 3 variations on the TWR column. The megane 2 has a dice shaped steering lock, but the acutal column is not coded.

The columns are coded to the uch, is you fit a used column the dash shows "steering Fault" The columns have a conventional key, I am not sure on the set up that uses a key card.

I haven't the original steering, i have buy a car without original steering. Now i bought a used steering but i don't know how can i make for start the car....

Hi all, had problem with 2004 modus trw power steering ecu, clip said internal fault, tried patrians cure but said could not repair this fault, bought secondhand replacement ecu and recoded immo info from old unit but still have same fault, car starts ok but steering not working, any ideas?

Have you test the motor of the steering?

no havnt tested the motor, changed steering assembly complete so have fitted different motor and ecu, will test but unlikely for both to have exactly same fault

so would use that if ppeyup wouldn't mind.

The owner of this Clio has been pushed and pulled for a few month's and spent a fortune hopefully I can help him with your'e help.

Hi Thurgau, i have the same faults with a scenic2 stering colum ecu, in this moment in my garage, i change a SMD capacitor, now the stering is back to car, cleared the faults, make the angle calibration,and for the moment the stering is on the way again.
In DK are a OBD solution, but work only if is a soft problem, the name of user is Patrian if i correct, and his software run under can clip interface.

Yes those are the pins, but im not sure if the chip that comes originally in the unit works.
Theorically you will need to adapt angle sensor before doing that.
