Open C:\EC-APPS\INPA\CFGDAT and open INPA.INI file with Notepad. You should have configuration files, similar as this (highlighted below in grey).

Sounds like an Ediabas error. Try reinstalling.

In the instruction above is not such a thing like installing Ediabas. I did copy it to the C: drive as ther manual say and thats it. So how should I reinstall it. I `m able to run GT1 and GT1 diagnose cars now. Didn`t work before because I didn know I have to run IFH Services in order to run GT1.
So now GT1 works fine but still getting the
error " Error compiling script file ! " if I try to do anything in Inpa 5.0

I was playing little bit with it and found if I run " Inpa Loader " than everything seems to work except getting Language compatibility massage "Language Variants do not match. malfunction possible" When I read fault codes in a car using loader I`m getting all in german. Is that the way it is?

I`m just wondering whats the difference between running "Inpa Load" and " Inpa Interpretter "

In my case interpreter wont work and Load works fine. Do you guys getting Inpa all in English or getting this pop up massage about language ?

Looking deeper to the available aplications in Inpa folder I was able to run app like Inpacom. Over ther I have function "Select Script File" when I click it I can choose script to compile.Have compiled succefully \STARTUS script. after that tried to run again the Inpa Interpretter ,one more time "Error compiling script file! I see you run Inpa Interpreter. That means you have to start Inpa using Inpa.exe. Shouldnt you start Inpa using Inpaloader.exe ? That what Manual say. If I run Inpa.exe and the program starts like your pictures. (at the top say INPA Interpretter) than I`m getting massage about the script error like I have described before.

Which option have you chosen to Install Inpa 5 in the installation progress. I did chose US BMW group cars and the installer has installed Inpa 3.1 without E90 cars. If I use any other option for german cars than the system installs eben Inapa 5.2 but everything with German language. Do I miss anything ?

Re-install using "BMW Group Rectification Programs UK" and then PM me for updates.

You've got a very old version of INPA and Ediabas. Post some screen shots, so i can see what you've got at the moment, then check everything (in RED and then try everything in GREEN) as per post #38 and then i can help you update it for E90 (and all the other new models).

Hey FAL I have gathered the installation which you provide. My screen shots are the same as yours as far as you select a car and control module to diagnose. To this moment is everything in english. But this is only a path way to select a real script. When I go to E90 > Engine> N52 than this selection is calling script named MS70.ipo. Once this script is loaded to Inpa than you really do diagnosis on the chosen DME. this script is all written in German. I`m just wondering maybe this script exist also in English version like MSV70eng.ipo The way I have described N52 engine diagnosis also are operating other ECU. Each ECU has relevant script to diagnose. For me looks like are scripts which I was testing for E90 cars are written in German.

For INPA you don't need to install it on VM.
Follow the intruction that you have on cd.
If you have that INPA with installer and patch I don't think will work.
Much more of this after you install INPA you must install drivers of your toll and you must be conected to a car to do tha or just to supplie 12V to your interface.
After that you have to change the latency at 1 or 2 to work.
In the attach you have the instalation made by FAL ( our forum mate)

Yes, it's screen-shots of my "test INPA", that I use when trying to integrate new chassis'.

BUT THERE IS NO WAY WAY U HAVE THE IPO FILES AND ALL MODULE.INI FILES ,U'LL GET THE .PRG,AND ALL OTHER GARBAGE OF THE ISTA DISKS ETC
I have a full set of both .ini and .ipo files for the F01, which I am using to try and develop the rest of the F-series, along with the E9x and R40 chassis'.

WERE U ABLE TO GENERATE THE INI FILES FOR EACH NEW F SEREIES MODULES THAT CAME AFTER THE INPA THAT LEAKED OUT AWHILE AGO No, but as above. I haven't been able to develop .ini files for all the new modules (yet), but some of them.

AND IS BEING MOVED AROUND THE W AND EDITED LIKE YOURS PRETENDING IS 5.04 20 .04 OR GOD KNOWS WHAT # ?This is the part I don't understand. My INPA is edited to make it easier for me to use. Some people have asked if they can have a copy to try, and I make it very clear that it is not 100% working. The different versions of INPA that I have, are all genuine, although i do sometimes clean-up the start menus and module selections. I did see someone on eBay the other day, advertising an "INPA v10"... lol

I have managed to get INPA see the VAS5054 head.I have installed FAL's version on the same system i have VAS5163 installed.So all i had to do is edit the EDIABAS.INI to point to the appropriate files related to the VAS5054 head.You don't need to have vas5163 installed but you will need the EIDBSS directory.I just cut & pasted from the VAS5163 INI to the INPA INI below is what i pasted
