It happened to me once. I used hard approach and format the disc. It seems like the ESI always have some traces left. I also think that you made a mistake during your first installation. When you run ESI after good installation it should not be asking you for disc to insert.

I cant be doing a disk format, I have just spent 3 days loading everything again, there must be a way to get rid of whats causing the problem

OK then. Maybe you should take some of specialized uninstall software to remove the ESI. Also run regedit and clean all the stuff concerning the ESI Tronic.

Also when you run fully configurable installation and copy everything from DVD`s it should not ask you to insert DVD when you use the program. How did you installed ESI?

OK I know that :) but did you choose Fully Configurable Installation? Then check all the options given and then drag them and copy to your HDD?

If you open with wordpad the Win.ini file in the Windows directory, there are two entries for Esitronic:
FSC2= ID
patch = with the installation path.
you remove these entries and try new installation.

If you have Windows XP as the operating system, then you go into the folder c: \ windows and look for the Win.ini file and click on it. This will open the contents of the file, which covers the basic configurations of Windows XP, if you scroll all the items you should find three related esitronic (see the appendix) must cancel. Remember that one of these entries contains the key ID to enable ESI.
Council make a copy of the file first, just in case.

For me this seems like virtual drive just can't recognize disk changes. Just try another one.
I'm using Magic ISO and Ultra ISO virtual disc programs, but there are loads of them on the internet.

Hi Liteace,

although to late in this case, in the future u might wanna use a program like the one i added. It's ashampoo uninstaller4 and it allows you to wipe out any trace of programs you don't want/need anymore.So you can play around with trial version etc without messing up. There's al handy description with it....
And don't get to lazy to run it after a while when installing new soft.

Thanks guys Ive done it and its working, problem was I started this major re-load, not just ESi, but everything on Friday afternoon and not had a lot of sleep since then as I wanted to get it all up and running. yesterday here was holiday as well, so I done fri, sat, sun, mon and was very tired. What I done again was went into windows registry, in the menu\find typed "tronic" and then deleted every file with the name tronic in, where I was going wrong before was, every file that it found looked the same so I thought they was not deleting, after deleting about 30 files it finally said "no more files found" I tried again and it installed. So if anyone else has the same problem just make sure you delete everything with tronic out of the registry

Thanks for all your help

As I said, clean up your registry. This uninstaller posted by teuton is also a good thing to have. Glad you solved your problem Liteace.
