U2139 - CAN-Bus No Communication with CIM (Steering Column Module)
investigate this code mate check cim module wiring and board ans see if it will communicate
the immo has to use the cim to send key data to ecu ect
i have seen a few of thes e cim modules get wet and damp inside too
hope it helps pall

Disconnect battery, give it a good charge for more than an hour, reconnect and it should start

Hi
To me this looks like the present key you using is intermittent faulty which is a common fault.
Try another key if you have it or, open the key and resolder all the dry joints in there, or new key should sort your problem.
Hope this helps.

hi thanks for that, battery is on charge.
no spare keys so gna open up the key, isnt there a transponder inside rather that an antenna?
also if it was the key wouldnt it have said it in immo?

not sure exactly but i think the arial or transducer is a seperate part from the cim on these as opposed to astra h ect
but cim communication is vital so code dictates id look in there
especially if there is no tech 2 or midi to fall back on

Hi
If I remember well Zafira's 2006 they have Electronic Transponders Build in the Circuit Board like the New Vectra's and Astra's with the Cim Modules.

Why is it round here, you spend ALL DAY on here, nothing exciting, so for a bath, comeback missed a decent thread.
Just for reference CAN'T REMEMBER THE NUMBERS.
1) Had a Merivia in 2005 - intermittant - but 'fault always there'
run two mins, lost tacho, no start 3 present faults
2) let it cool, 3 intermittant fauls (same 3) it starts.
3) Warmed engine ecu with oxy acetylene gas - fault occurs - ecu dud.
4) Under circumstamnces subscribe to thread 'remote key tester'
go to scrap yard and down load a FIAT immo pick up - bang led on it, place key through it, tests if key/transponder working, flashes once if ok, constant for few seconds, goes out.
(5) Pain in middle of chest still there)

The CIM module on the earlier Zafira B's/Astra H's is known to be a common problem. Might need replacement.

What happens is, they've got all this electronic bolix on them BUT if the battery drops down a bit the immo ecu stores the last code from the key (rolling code) so next time you try and start the car it dont, they you scan it up come a loads of codes you think WTF where do I go from here all for a low battery, dont forget I know ~~~~ ALL but Im glad you got it sorted
