Hello DK,
I have an ML270 which shuts down only when pedal is floored and engine is loaded. It never shuts down during easy driving or cruising. I get DTC P1187 (fuel pressure deviation) which can be deleted, but comes back when car is driven hard and shuts down.
Fuel filters have been replaced.
Please share your experience with this problem.
Many thanks.....

I just googled your fault and I found out this web page where you have to go inside and check the explanation about the fault code:
1)Hyundai OBD II Trouble Codes (http://www.freeautomechanic.com/diagnostictroblecodes11.html)
2)Model (1) (http://www.docstoc.com/docs/22799469/Model-%281%29)
On the second link you have a good explanation about the problem you might have. Sorry to be so brief but as I told you before im to much busy and I have not to much time for.
Any way we will be in touch.
Kind regards

Thanks Tanitov. Injector back leakage are all good. I think the problem is in the fuel pressure control valve or the HP pump.

Do we have the same problem "engine dies at full load"? Have you corrected the problem? Please share.
I'm also thinking of replacing the rail pressure regulator. If this does not correct the problem.......replace CR pump.
Thanks......

Thanks for the tip. But how can it be a faulty pressure pump? Engine starts well. Power is very good. Engine restarts easy after a shutdown fault.

Is simple ,at full trotle HP pump must delivery a presure about 1000 bar,if is lower or higher ECU stop the engine.

i don`t repair this car , i used a DELPHI YDT278 -TOOLS and i have check the pump is good (1350 bari)
I used MD STAR diagnostic , I don`t remeber exactly fault code but is "high presure was touched"
The presure fuel is to high .
Some ideeas ? thanks

Morning mate
As you told us previously that you changed fuel filters, did you check for fuel leakage, because obviously it seems to be either a clogged filter either fuel leakage. Double check the low pressure line for holed pipe or s quizzed pipe and if any thing is okay then build out the pressure regulator sensor and the flow regulator sensor, check in there for impurity or broken O ring. Also last check that you should do is to try without the fuel filter, I know that is a little bit tricky bud lets say it is the last bullet, put some clean fuel inside a big can and check if the behavior of the vehicle changes.
Hope it helps for the moment

Bosch esitronic says that the ECU will shut down the engine if fuel pressure is too high. Maximum pressure can only be attained when engine is fully loaded, like driving on the road. Engine does not shut down when car is parked.
This is why I will change rail pressure regulator.

Hi.
You must change fuell presure censor. Its 3 pin. Front five injectore valve.

Hi Albanais....
I can bypass the low pressure system and put a gallon can inside the car.
But I don't think the problem is on the low pressure side. I have seen similar problem, ..... the engine loses power and slowly dies.
In my case, the engine instantly dies during full load, like someone turned off the switch. Car restarts easy though.
I have ordered a pressure regulator, it will arrive in 1 week.

I suspect the regulator because performance improved after ultrasonic cleaning. Engine still shuts down at full load but not as often as before.
I also saw that the installed regulator has been discontinued by Bosch and replaced with a new part number. Defective maybe? Aaaaaaah..........
