Thank you for your input - that makes sense. So obviously, next in line is the 2011 - 3 install. I do have the Keygen, is the serial number still OK? As far as the firmware, the only way I can see the unit receiving a firmware is if it is Online in some way?

I finally solved the SD card problem with my crap quality clone. At the rear of the mini SD socket, the track nearest the edge of the PCB (the one the goes to the SMD resistor at the side of the 8 pin IC next to the CAN filter) is supposed to be switched to GND when a card is inserted. Mine didn't - crap socket I suppose. Anyway, I soldered the track to GND and powered the clone up with the card already inserted. Everything appears to work now (had it logging data from a Z16SE Opel ECU on the bench anyway). I also used the tiny beeper from the back of an old dashboard as the speaker. I had to glue this to the other side of the PCB because my naff case was too small. I now have sound as well :D

I've changed the silly large 4 x 1 ohm resistors I had on my PCB for two proper CAN filters like yours. Dunno what real difference it will make but it looks better. Does anyone know what the MCU is and is it readable? (all markings have been scratched off on mine).

If it is, then probably your A#tocom clone is without OKI chip .:dontknow:
Try diagnose just with OBD, that will bring you OBD (if any) errors of engine.

Is there a solution for the non-communication between CDP+ (Bluetooth) and BMW E90 and E60? Mine does every other car, but don't work with these two!?

I also have an older CDP+ that communicates with both cars with the same computer, so the problem lies in the CDP itself.

You are right man, the data are stored in raw format! Before trying this I just want to confirm I have not missed a more common/ easy way to make it, like "save as"... button in the gui ;)

Then you'll see if your tool bluetooth working or not
From what I know it is working on Bluetooth Serial Port not in Bluetooth Communication Port
But maybe I'm wrong

Those are line filters, you cannot replace it with resistors, but you can replace it with small capacitors, but better is just make shortcut instead.

Does you have "old style" interface with external antenna, or you have "new style" CDP+ interface.

I am asking this, becouse (I bet that you already know this) all new style CDP+ interface does not have bluetooth modue on PCB and thus they cannot be detected with any bluetooth device.

I also have same problem. I have Autocom 2011.1 Old one and can't make update, simply stop at end when updating, with some message. Autocom have OKI so I will try to remove and install 2011.3. Can I simply try to update to 2012.3 version without updating first to 2011.3?
I didn't know can this work and afraid to not damage Autocom so I didn't try!

So my result is negative - no file stored in the folder at all. But I am running the Autocom 2012 Release 3 (2.12.3.2) version in W7/ 64bit. I am a bit affraid to update it :( since everything else worx perfect within this SW for me.
Usually, there are just few changes between versions so it is not worth to spend a time with SW updates in my opinion.:hmmmm: Wish I could extract the data file (*.acfrs) from memory and save it manually at least ... this is terrible.
BTW - is there an AUTOCOM 2013 verified version to be downloaded for testing purposes anyways :smokin:?

Having troubles with Golden autocom CDP unit with Bluetooth.
It is always asking for firmware update, i update unplug the device from usb, plug it in and the it asks for update again, its the same with 2012.3 and 2013.1, it came originally with 2012.3 version.
Anyway if someone could point me to the right direcetion so solve this i would appreciate it.

It's asking you to do firmware update so you either do the update or re-install 2012.3 keep the internet of go to autocom folder look for file named wyUpdate rename it to wyUpdate1

If it's original then go on, install it,

BUT IF IT'S a clone, then DO NOT INSTALL UPDATES, it will screw up your software,
and as result you'll NOT BE ABLE TO DO ANY CONNECT WITH REAL VEHICLE.

Autocom does not work with any 1.2 8v petrol wit safir2 ecu. I have tested on many cars with this engine and situation was same. Also test wit Autoccom with 2 PCB and new Autocom wit double printed PCB with 2012.3 and same situation!

Seems all have faults!?
From what I'm told its often just a small part wrong or bad solder etc
Seems if your in the know buy a unit and add in missing bits like choke thing or resisted that's wrong etc then it makes them 100% good
But you would need to know each part etc
Compare to genuine unit and make 100% same at lower costs

Till now to believe that the faults of new design CDP+ could be more than just a small part wrong or bad solder etc. Even thought there is some wrong tracks on the dimples-on-edge PCB's. This type of the PCB looked different from the one above, even part numberings differ too.

Unfortunately, keep surfing the three forums found none inner photo of a genuine.

I would like to share with you solution to upgrade autocom/delphi to software version 2012.2 or 2012.3 or 2013.1.
With this tutorial you can upgrade also units that can not be upgraded using Autocom/Delphi application. "UPDATE FIRMWARE FAIL"
First you need to open your unit and remove main board from case.
Then you need to locate MCU STM32 http://mhhauto.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif.
To enter MCU into Boot mode you need to connect legs 108 nad 138 together with some wire.
You can do that as on attached pictures (test point TP205 or TP206 connect with capacitor) but some of units have different PCB so you need to solder directly to the legs or find test points with multimeter.

Now you need to install and run "Flash Loader Demonstrator".
Connect your unit to USB and to power supply (OBD).
It will light red.
At the Flash Loader Demonstrator choose COM port nr that VCI is installed (check in device manager) click NEXT- sometimes you need couple times try to have succesful connection.
Program will ask to erase content of MCU because it is secured.
When you will have connection with MCU you need choose type of MCU 1024K and on next page "Download to device" check "global erase" and show the file to upload (from attached archive).
Now press NEXT and wait about 10min.
Now you have updated Autocom/Delphi

Yesterday I did the firmware upgrade to 1310 with the instructions posted by meteor80.Thanks for the instructions,straight forward and works great:top:
But 1-2013 version didn't seem to work ok for me.I had problems with automatic VIN detection and with ISS diagnose with various cars.I never had these problems with
good old 3-2012 version.At the end I downgraded back to 3-2012,for me it's more stable than 1-2013.
Did anyone had the same issues?

bluetooth module is exact copy of the original connectblue , i used a v3.0 usb bluetooth works as quick as on cable
casing on ds150e way better in fitting quality
relays could be off better quality
F/R works ,speaker works

there is only 1 factory is making the version with bluetooth just make sure you look for the sticker on the bottom off the vci
the ones with no bluetooth are the same old cdp+ (boards probably hit an miss) works or not
another down fall 1310 firmware already installed rather stick with 1231

overall there is definetly room for improvement

when i plug it in the car it is a blue led then i start uploadinding the frimeware after a few min the update stoped and the blue one become a red led's.

Need help identifying a missing electronic part U1201 on 1 board pcb CDP plus
The 2 pcb board version have also this part.

I really don't know what it is, it's a very small chip.
And what is the function? is it driving the relays or is it a voltage sensor?

I have measure C5 and its 150nF on PBC I have removed and it is 150nF
I have changed to 1nF-C5 and when I measure on PBC its 45nF it is Normal
C11 is 1nF on PBC and when I remove its 1nF
After changed C5 to 1nF when I measure on PBC
I have 45nF on C5 and C11
Its this GOOD ????

I bought a couple of cdp+ autoocom, with allen bolt interface side conenctor; both don't work :( ; relays clicks inside, but no communication with any ecu, sometimes they connect, but most time no, even if communication comes, it's lost so quickly after.
Anyone faces this experience before?!

How about on a different laptop or different car?

I have old vci with 2 boards, cant update FW for some reason. PC see connceted vci and shows test ok but when I select update I can hear relay and after few sec Im getting error to check cable connection or make sure that tester is connected.

please i have a problem and i want to have any idea about it

so, i have an autocom CDP+ work now fine with cars but when i use it with truck no communication i receive the message that no VCI plug, i have tasted with 2 diffrents PC ofcourse i have instaled the soft of truck then make update to the CDP+ no chance after that i tasted again with cars it works fine. after that i bouth another VCI cdp+ always the same thing the seller said it is 3 in 1 means it works with cars and truck.

please is any one have an idea about this

Autocom with 2 boards is better, if u have issue with some micro relay then just plug new board. Just try to replace one micro relay from double layer board from 1 board autocom!

I have CDP+ with 2 boards , no bluetooth. Software version 2013.3.
No connection with BMW E60/E61, and strange, no connection with Audi A6 2005 gearbox ( tried it before and work on 3 another cars same type including this one).I have tried with Wurth WOW and same result.
I have checked relays on board, all ok,next I will try to replace 9241 and try again.
Did somebody have same problem or solution ? :)

Hi, maybe someone had same problem? I have autocom cdp+ china clone, after update to 2013.3 or it is coincidende, now i can connect to modules, read/erase fault codes, but none of live data parameters works. it just hangs waiting and nothing happens. Maybe someone have a solution? Thanks
