get rid of most of the crap in the newcamd.list file and keep it simple

CWS = 192.168.1.1 20000 dummy dummy 01 02 13 04 15 06 17 08 01 10 11 12 13 14 lan server1

ensure your newcs.xml file port and username/password match what you have in the newcamd.list

i have cccam 2.2.1 installed and mgcamd do i need newcs aswel?

I'm using OpenPLi-2.1-beta-dm800-20110814-sim201-ssl82.nfi

disable the autostart of mgcamd

then telnet onto your box and run mcgamd manually thru command line - this way you will see why it doesnt start up correctly with debug information

I normally use this method to debug why a softcam doesnt work properly and 100% of the time I can find out why.

all you need to do to get mgcamd to work with a line is to download the mgcamd or manually install it... then open a new txt doc in windows and rename it newcamd.list and save. then put you cws line in there and save... drop the newcamd.list in the keys folder on your dreambox by using dcc. job done

hi,

where do you actually put the newcamd.list file.?
