hi
pin 28 and 29 is for crystal look at the target mcu pin no. 28,29 connected to crystal.
Now for this kind of mcu may i know where this mcu is fitted .
I use upa programmer to read this kind of mcu with 4 wire connections like RX,TX,GND and +
and read it with upa always give good data
Put the pcb picture here not the mcu
Thanxk

Hi
You must use 4.00 MHz crystal on this pins.
But the best way is to unsolder MPU and use HC05Bx programming adapter
labeled as QFP64 P/C: 1-002-0005

Hello! I am new user Xprog-m.
I have the same problem with MC68HC11F1VFN4 (E87J) from Marelli Ecu IAW 8F.5T. (I try in Circuit Program)
Message : Device is Silent. Time Out Error.
knows someone what happens?

Pull up MCU MODA and MODB pins from PCB and change oscilator setup in the software (Options...)

Hello!
My Friends Forumams and Janusz21 Thank you for your answers! I am new user Xprog-m (clone probable, from Chine)!
I cut from circuit the mobA and mobB pins and change the oscillator to 4MHz but nothing! I receive the same message! ModA and ModB are the named on xprog-m user manual like corresponding MCU pin?
I will try the combination and i will change the oscillator to 4MHZ.
I want to ask you Janusz21 how connect the xprog connector with mcu!
1,2,3 pins mcu together with GND Xprog-m connector.
17 (reset) pin mcu with B5 Xprog-m connector.
28 (RxD) pin mcu with B3 Xprog-m connector.
29 (TxD) pin mcu with B2 Xprog-m connector.
+5 Volt with Vcc Xprog-m connector. Alternative Can I connect Vcc pin with 34pin mcu (Vdd)
Are this Correct???
Thanks for your answer!
