IMHO - If you don't want have problems with realtime tasks (as, for example, ECU programming) never use notebooks with AMD processors inside. Even with all "green" functons disabled you can have unpredictable effects.
Genuine Intel (excluding energy saving Intel's CPUs family for netbooks) is your choice.

Unfortunately modern notebooks are good for games, movie/music playing and inet browsing but absolutely not suitable for seriuous engineering tasks.
My choice was HP Compaq NC6120 (Intel P4M 2Ghz/1440x900/4xUSB/LPT/ COM/2xCardbus/XP) - 7 years close all my tasks concering driving external tools and equipment without any problems.
And second notebook (for rescue backup) Dell D630 - similar to above configuration.
BTW original CMD software rise red alert about AMD, when you trying to play software on AMD notebook.

Hi guys,

newer sw version of EOBD2 use FTDIChipID. Any FT232R FTDI chip has a unique ID burned in that can't be changed by customer. One mechanism to protect sw is to encrypt that ID and store in the eeprom user area. The other one is to verify the ID by connecting to a server.

Does anyone have more detailed information about that or even has some information about the encryption algorithm used to set eeprom's user area correctly?

Hi all.

I have noticed a problem with my galletto 2 1 led silver box, i have succesfully flashed in the past a mod to a friend's car Ford Focus 1.8TDDI with a EECV visteon ecu, all went smooth, and the flash was a success, car "accepted" the tune.

Now i have the same car (my own), until now i always have flashed it by flash programmer and the ecu had a socket for the flash.

The problem now is, i removed the socket, was giving me faults, and fit again the original flash IC.

I must say i have 3 ECUS so i discard ECU problem. All 3 ECUs have same behaviour.

I go to flash my tune with the on screen procedure, all seems to be good, it takes 9 minutes to end the flashing process, but once i power off and on, i notice the tune was not flashed to the car, it's stock.

I haven't received any error from the software, also the dash is full of ------ while the galletto is flashing the ecu, this is normal, why it does not flash the tune?

Any ideas are welcome.

Strange thing, I did this car (same car) before with MPPS V12, but yesterday I read it OK, but can?t write with it (i had 2 cables), with dashboard OFF it could ID the ECU, but with ON it says ECU not found.

As I remember, if you're running 64-bit Windows Vista, 7 or 8, you can't install unsigned drivers (which Galletto drivers are). Maybe that is answer why you have problems, but don't know solution...

When the soft ask you to turn ignition off and then on. This its meant to turn a complet voltage to ECU OFF and ON. You have switch on Boot cable from FGTech that its for this purpose.

You are right I thing. The values is not correct. The 2nd question is why galletto use 4 positions. The best option is classic 3 positional mechanical switch with 250R, 500R, 1K resistors like byteshooter use, I think.

Look I dont know what you dont understand. The china FGT2 clone have problems with switching Pull Up end resistors. This way the guys have made some modifications, added the switch to manually change the Pull Up resistors.

This EU clone its like I have told you 1:1 original copy, and like original dont need extra switch this clone also dont have any. The problem of bad china copy it is in few failures on circuit, wrong components and mostly in bad or lo cost elements integrated.

As I have seen those boards, for chines its same 10ohm or 100ohm, I dont know how they understand 0 nuber :D

Today, using MINI-GALLETTO i tried Peugeout 408 1.6 THP with MED17 by OBD, it ID with some numbers, but can?t read (silent SK2 error).

Someone could do these by OBD or it can only be made by boot ? (Owner refuses to open the ECU and try bootmode, the car has less than 2.000Km)

i want into FGTech soft, was working, but all new cars where missing, so Modules.

I tried to reflash, still the same... ok nvm i am going to get update in few days to 11/2012.

For this i had to read my License file... FTRead said "no-device found". So i got another tool Mprog to flash a .ept ( i think it was called like this) file or something like this...
I opend the other Programmer Mprog, scanned for devices he wrote: programmed devices 0, so i flashed this .etp File, after it was programmed devices 1.

After that i could write/read the license File from Fgtech again and send away via mail, short time after i got the new one. Flashed it with FTRead. After that i installed new Software and wanted to start.

Now the software wants name and key.... could it be that the eprom is ****ed up in any way? Especially he found not all modules with the old software anymore -_- but y i could flash the license successfuly then ?

With old soft change date 11/2012 flash with ft_read_write and All car will be there. With mprog it is good to Mark "fixed serial"

After 11/2012 cars will gone so 12/2012 no new cars.

Yes you can force new Software to work with an old HW just modify the FTDI dump. But new Software its made for new Firmware also. And so you can make some new ECU-s, and destroy a lot of them also.

This is exactly what cine have done, and thisway you cannot unlock and write PCR ECU with this tool. I dont recomend to do so. Its better to buy new EU clone with actual V54 Firmware.

Hi,

I have read a Ford Cmax 2.0 TDCI 2008 (Sid206) by OBD II serveral times without error. But if I try to write the mod file, the Galletto SW closes immediately (without any error).
I have used a 3-Led Galletto 2 with the 3k9 R mod from veloseeped. The Galletto SW shows about 11 Volt. could this be a problem.

By the way read write EDC16C39 by BDM is no problem.

For update ftdi must be updated and original exe must be patched to delete some features. Who knows that in the future there will be updates ? ;)

of things working the way they shouldn't? I think not. Those that you sell and others have all the same solution as chinese galletto clones. It works ok, but I want to see your clones doing updates ;) I think it will not be that easy. Only if you have your original tool activated, wich I really doubt it is , or if it is, it will be locked soon.
As for quality i cannot say, never seen one of yours...Must be better than chinese for sure :D
As for playing fair, I don't think you people should say that, if you clone galletto original and even clone a clone, you are not paying fair, you never did.
People choose what they want. Chinese , Bosnian , Romanian, Polish , Italian , Portuguese , Spanish etc etc...

So AES have no dongle, can work under win 7 x64 without problem? No need to change date or using program to change date like "as date"?

Yes AES have no dongle, for me is working under Win XP and under Win 7 32bit. For 64 bit OS I don't know because i don't use it. And there is no need to any date or Internet manipulation.

i have matter with kline with fgtech 3 leds. the 4 r?sistors are good values; i changed 2 big r?sistors next to relays and an other small resistor to 3.9k. Always same matter. Gonna change hcf406 for hef40106, ordered it this afternoon. My question is about the 2 r?sistors in end of k and lines, in a post is said they should be 5.6ohm, i disoldered them to measure and they 5600ohm (5601 written on them). should i change them for 5.6 ( i don't think) ? Hello I need read and write the ecu engine from a smart 1.0 car the ecu is bosch ME 7.7.0 , all versions of galleto 2 can read and write? can any with the software already installed put any printscreen , I read that galleto 2 can write and read , but not sure, and need check first buy galletto 2

5k6 are good, don't change. If you already changed the so famous 10k into a 3k9 maybe your 40106 is deffective or the 74hc14 that manages kline.

This weekend i changed the 2 74HC14 on the left, i will change 40106 when i will receive it. and i resoldered 5K6, i have calculated that 5.6ohm have no utility i think.
