This vcds lite 1.2 is activated. It serves cars until 2004 y without "can"
After installing the vag kkl cable drivers, you must set COM PORT. It can be only 1,2,3 or 4. You set the same COM port in vcds lite 1.2 (OPTIONS) as in the device manager. Then connect the cable to the car and computer and do the test in the "OBD II" tab. Then again OPTIONS cable test. LIcence in "ABOUT" should be "green". Try.
Or buy yourself a vcd$ hex-can for older (2004 y) and newer (after 2004) cars of the VAG group.

Hello, I have this serios problem with VCDSlite 1.0. Maybe I must reinstal windows. I using on old pc and works 100%. After instal on new pc I have N/A issue problem in 2-3-4 blocks, but others functions works. But I unable logs others blocks.
Old and new PC its W7 64bit SP1. difference its only cpu Haswell and Skylake. Maybe windws version updates are different.
I try reinstaling, direct copy, deleting all vcds and ross-tech elements by regedit. I dont now, in fact is very mistake problem. here its my video.- In video I first show work on shareware with normal 2-3-4 block, and after minute, I showing issue by using loader with N/A blocks.

Vcds Lite 1.2 works with the VAG KKL interface. Not work with the vag k can commander 1.4 / 2.5.

I have a 2006 Audi A4 B7 2.5TDI Estate. Ive done a bit of research and purchased a VAG-K+CAN full commander cable which i believed the right cable for my car. It came with vag commander 1.4 chinese edition. All drivers in ok and interface found and i can get the system to run the car identification so seems all working fine but i just cant do anything with it, it doesnt read anything else from the drop down menu, ive tried them all. I have tried VCDS Lite and in options chose port3 and interface is found but I then click on the different interfaces to connect to and none of them will connect, says "interface no found".

Researching, i have seen a post from someone else saying same problem and they were recommended to try VAGCOM 409.1 in windows XP which they said worked great. Fired up XP, installed drivers and 409.1. Clicked on options, port3 and interface was found no problem with a good latency of between 1 and 2ms. When i try and connect to all the different interfaces i.e. engine, instrument etc etc it always comes up with "interface not found"

Im out of ideas other than maybe although i thought i needed the VAG-K+CAN cable for my cable maybe i needed the older KKL 409.1 cable?

Any ideas please

For your car (2006y), you only need a VCDS Hex-Can interface (old name VAG COM) preferably with an ATMEGA 162 chip (about $ 32). For VAG cars from 2019-2022y build year, you need a "real" HEX-V2 on STM chip (about $ 90-130). (Aliexpress)
Of course preferably the original but expensive VCDS interface from RossTech or a dealer in your country and SW in your language.
