Hey,
Dreambox Edit is an excellent program however I am having a problem which i cannot seem to solve.
When I was trying to upload my new bouquets it comes up with a error which says
"Starting FTP transfer
Transfer complete
** Sending file "/var/tuxbox/config/enigma/services" **
Starting FTP transfer
Transfer aborted
Error sending file "services" to the Dreambox.
Disconnecting.
Disconnected."
Hoping someone can help.
Kind regards

It might be that the box has locked up. Try ftping the file to /tmp as this is a different memory location to /var. If it ftps to /tmp ok and not to /var, it's locked up and you will need to do a factory reset or reflash to be able to ftp to /var again.
Remember to backup certain folders before you do so or else you won't get premium channels, know what I mean!!! ;)

Yep, its done exactly that. OK ftping to TMP.
OK so which files should I back up and where do I go to do a factory reset?
Many thanks

Factory reset:
Menu > Setup > Expert Setup > Factory Reset
Backup /var/keys folder, /var/scce folder and /var/tuxbox/config/enigma folder.
Once you've done the factory reset, copy them back to the box. If they keys and scce folders are empty, don't bother backing them up. If you've not yet done a scan or sorted bouquets, don't bother with the /enigma folder either.

Thanks for the help buddy much appreciated.
Its letting me write to the box now which is great. However when I load new Bouquets or try and delete the test channels etc then upload then reboot the box, no changes have been made!!.
Also when I then download the settings using DreamboxEdit I get this error message
"All files are loaded but with errors:
errors in services file: 2
errors in bouquets file: 2
errors in userbouquet.xxxxx.tv file(s) (TV):0
errors in userbouquet.xxxxx.radio file(s) (Radio):0
Check the log file for more information!
All errors are related to invalid definitions and references within the selected settings files. This means the files are now cleaned up and contain only valid items. You can now go on editing the settings."
Any ideas?
Many thanks

If you are uploading services and bouquets, they need to be reloaded before they will show up. In dreamboxedit, there's a 'Reload Channels' button on the same page where you upload them.
It's best if you do a scan on the box to generate the services file. Playing about with it, opening it up on various apps, can corrupt it and add additional characters that the box doesn't like.
I've always said that the best way to arrange bouquets is with the build in 'Services Organising' option. By the time you've figured out how to use the program on your PC, managed to get them uploaded to the box and managed to reload them so they appear...you could have sat down with the remote and done then in 30 mins and they would be perfect. :)

Thanks
Ill try what you said about reloading channels.
Just on the service organising thing. I was gonna do that but every time I create a new bouquet then select "Add services to bouquet" then select "TV" then screen goes blank and then says "Starting Evocamd 2.17c" and wont let me add any channels.

Hey all,
I cannot edit bouquets either using the service organising tool or using software like dreamboxedit.
I believe there maybe a problem with the userbouquet.xxx files on my box which are currently stored in /var/tuxbox/config/enigma.
At the moment when i try to add channels manually on the service organising tool, the screen just goes blank, restarts evocam and then goes back to the TV. When i try to use dreamboxedit, i upload the bouquets that i have edited, but when i restart the box no changes have been made. I am using dk 1.1 image
The files contained in the enigma directory are as a follows:-
bouquets
chttpd.conf
config
encoding.conf
playlist.epl
services
services.locked
timeOffsetMap
timer.epl
userbouquet.2d3eb.file
userbouquet.33fc5.tv
userbouquet.94b4c.radio
userbouquet.dbe00.tv
userbouquets.file.epl
userbouquets.radio.epl
userbouquets.tv.epl
Any help would be much appreciated.
Many thanks
