I've modified my unit as is described in earlier posts but i still connect the A15 adapter to an WV airbag unit (ex:).
I have verified the codecard schematics for the A15 adapter and it does not match. My red wire is on pin 11 on adapter, but is +9V (instead of 12V).
The yelow whire (gues K-line) is on pin 10, and it has 0 V when it's not conected to the airbag and 3V when it's connected.
I've atached photos with the adapter and the airbag that i want to conect it.
I've respected the photo from carprog software but it does not work.Always same error "cant connect to ecu".
I've tried with A1 adapter with external PSU but I can only read and delete errors. When I try to clear crash data the error "cant connect to ecu" apears.
I hope somebody can help with these couse I'm not having any ideas on how I must connect it.

So yellow is black on yours maybe problem is inside main unit and don't you need to use D1 adaptor + 12v supply also?

You need to power on with 12V. Watch out for correct polarity, it's the other way around than most devices, the middle pin is the negative (earth). If you already connected it wrong then you burnt out diodes inside carprog programmer near power plug. No need for D1 adaptor when reading airbag.

Hello, can someone help me with caprog. Friend gave me his new clone carprog oredered from china but a1 adapter not working I open it and I saw it have capactiros in it, on hw test it says external voltage to low less then 8v. I opened carprog and saw it is 74hc125d, if I replace those with 74hc125M, should I get correct carprog. If someone have this problem with hw test external voltage please post, many thanks.

For options to be activated you need to reprogram ARM inside CP using 4.74 dumps. Then you can have all options activated.
VAG EDC16 is useless, simply because ask for A1+ adapter.

@peko, if you're using new software with 4.01 flashed clone, it wont change data.
If you run 4.01 software, the airbag unit you tried is mostlikely not listed.

That's right Adam, for 50USD, all who know will back money with 1 job, for 50 usd you get eeprom programmer, radio decoder , some airbag crash cleaner, work good on some dash with OBD, just there is a lot people who pay 50 usd and think all can working.

J-tag, if counter appear you can reflash, j-tag is cheap 5$ and you can buy, it's good to have, like I said you in mine carprog ****er is not appear yet, but if appear I will try to reflash or buy new one, carprog is really chip without adapter maybe 40$.

I have one question for user, I would like to finish modifiy clone, I am repair all adapter and only one is not tested yet, ews adapter a11, it have k-line white, + red and - black. When I put external voltage 12v, I must have 12v on output this read and black, because when I check with multimeter it have about 0.9v? Thanks.

OK, there is no problem to do this ews, I done it with x-prog without problem with k-line adapter, but want also to test this ews adapter, beacue clone which I get, is really bad, after lot modification, now it work ok, when it arrived nothing is be good, color of eeprom not good, soic eeprom not right position, airbag adapter not right color, now I test all of that and modify now work all this adapter, now is only this ews to modify and that's it :)
Now I have voltage on + i -, but don't have here stabilisier 12v, I put some adapter, and when I want to check voltage now is 11.3V, maybe there is not problem adapter, maybe must have 12?

Hello. 8 X 74HC125D is a very good solution:alberteinstein:. Working in pairs the current in V/in is decreasing to 4.5 v. In fact , this solution is better than 74HCT125M. For 24cxx is needed only one but in case we are using 8 pairs the carprog is starting to read in circuit all IC's. with this solution is very very stable. 50 reads ; 50 writes 50 checks with an ratio of 100% . The official solution including cristal change ( 12.000 Mhz - texas) were giving me 96 % accuracy .24c64 in circuit were not working. now it is perfect.

All of them are working... But in clones, there's only firmware for 4.01 and 4.74, so running newer software, won't give you any new options added... Also OBD adapter changed from A1 to A1+ on newer versions, not available on clones...

A1 and A1+ is different hardware, A1+ is used for Volvo, Ford dash, EDC16 programing and etc. And A1 is OBD cable only, it used for most another functions.
About clone and orig: Clone always is clone and china clone :) Original is more stable . I use original some years and do not have big problems. Problems have all devices.

after each reading you need to switch ignition off , wait about 30-60 s and then can start engine without problem.

Original CP has no problem with 24cxx eep... If it does not read them on board You need to desolder it and then read - write... Also use external Power supply to the CP.

It is not that easy....Serial is in AT88 crypto Atmel eeprom as well...

So upgrading clone from 4.01 to 4.74, serial is changed only in ARM, but in AT88 stays the same like 4.01 version with old serial?

I think when you click on clone legalization software, you have to enter order number. If it is accepted by server, new serial is written to carprogs arm and AT88 eeprom maybe. After that you open carprog soft, press internet update, it checks your serial and what software package you bought, then it downloads your ordered software lib file.
Maybe someone tried internet update on clone, only arm got erased?

this is a exact issue most people face, many say a mod to the A1 adapter and stuff but i did all yet i cannot communicate to CAN opel ecu

i have made all mod to a1 cable, me762 i have comunicate with kline, not with can. I know that in can line there's a lot of bugs into the clone, but kline seems to work well in other ecu or dash.
