golf5 the 2005 BCA code engine, came yesterday to change the gearbox oil, and a skin of the planetary on the left, after I gave the car outside, bright yellow light steering, the scan did this "00573 - Steering Torque Sensor (G269)
008 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent
I removed this code, the drive 100m and appeared, I deleted and to re-contact and reappears after 10 minutes, I checked everything described in this chapter by Rosstech, and have everything you need: power, signal, CAN, all ... the real value is okay, as long as light is off, ...
usual client, blame on the mechanic, .. but do not know what can I do?

Hi
Did you disconnect the battery for any reason........?
Also did you take it for a long drive and try locking steering from one end to other end............it may be just need resetting...........
Also worth checking the fuses in engine bay it could be when working near there the fuse had been disturbed............

I checked the fuses, I tried resetting, and other attempts have all failed, it remains only to replace the steering box

Well they are quite common so you should not be taken as responsible for this fault as it can happen at any time............I hope your customer will understand you..............
Good Luck

I have experienced the same problem before but after " proper" steering angle sensor reset it was perfect. A lot of people dont follow the ross tech guide to the T and have problems.

T", is that I have seen it so often that the guys read the instructions but don't carry out the setting right down to the letter of the instructions. For example on a golf 5 they wont check which of the 2 abs pumps the vehicle has, they will just choose one from the list on vcds , (which a lot of the times is the wrong one), and then try to do settings without any good results.
