Hi,

This is a 2004 Citroen Xsara Picasso. It is a 1.6hdi with edc16c3 ecu.

The ECU part number is 0 281 011 233.

ECU failed in the car and I am unable to read it by BDM.

I have a replacement ECU and am trying to get the car running with it. I have tried swapping EEPROM dumps but the immo is still locked and I get a fault for an Internal Fault in the ECU so I assume the eeprom dump must be corrupt.

I have attached a BDM dump from a good 0281011233 Ecu. Can anyone immo off or even Virginise this dump for me?

Thanks in advance,
Ronan

hi. Not that I know much about eeprom dumps but do have a lexia kit which can upload standard ecu firmware if that helps

Hi astratdi - welcome to DK the worlds best website.

How do you upload firmware toecu's with lexia?

Hi,
Is your solution tested?

With this dump the car runs ok. The ECU internal fault is gone.

However there is now a fault in the BSI for no comms with Engine ECU and as a result of that the BSI stays in Economy Mode and nothing works. This fault isn't present with the original dump.

Thanks for the help,
Ronan

If you read/write with bdm, maybe this is the problem, i have problems in the past with this, and if i read or write the eprom direct 0 problems.

The eprom is a 95160 or 95640? for the size i think is 95640, but if you see the eprom the data are double.... i have this problem with my bdm, read double data.

sorry for my english m8 ;)

Hi,
The eep is a 95160. To write it with BDM you must duplicate the data. It writes fine then and the dump is correct if you read it off the eeprom directly.

Thanks,
Ronan

hi friend.
new files, are 95160, 2k.
if write with bdm edit and repit the data to 4k.

2 are virgin and other is your file, but the pin is edit to standard pin.
