:heeeelllllooooo:I have a 2001 bongo 2.5td with flashing glow plug light ,loses power.Does anybody know how to read the fault codes & interpret what the faults are.
I am off on holiday in a weeks time and plan doing alot of miles so need to sort before i go.
I had a quick look in diagnostic socket, took it to local garage who said you bridge a wire across, they attemted & got light to flash but couldnt make head nor tail of what the coded were !.
Told me to do a search on internet !,if i had any luck go back with it.
any advise appreciated.

If it is obd1 this will help, if it is obd2 it will have 16 pin connector which you cannot do flash codes youi need a scan tool

Thats right your not wrong I thought you were in the know, perhaps you dont know I wasn't aware I may have been a bit slow!
I had an aunt freda she used to take us to asda in her mazda, she didn't like being probed about her pubes so I was always left in the dark when it came to asking questions; so I assumed asda's mazda's fords & fredas were all the same. It wasn't worth all the upset to keep asking questions anyhow being locked in the boot for 2 hours while she did her shopping was enough to discourge my interest
I dont know if there is an echo in here but there certainly is in the boot of a mazda!

I would guesstimate they are more likely to be 2 digit codes but if they dont make sensce then try them as four

You need to double check what you think as I fell asleep twice trying to read them but log down your interpretation of what you think they are then clear them & read again to confirm. They look like 2 digit codes first long display to signal start of code second quick flash then pause until next code starting with long display again, to me they appear to read 11 14 10 12 11 12 12 18 the reocurring 11 & 12's maybe confusing but codes can often double up
You may have to do some sarching to interpret

Chuffing hell, loooks like 3 codes?
11 12 22 <GOT BORED> 28
Right, think like this, Mod's don't delete this post :roflmao:
onnnnnnnnn + on = 11
onnnnnnnn onnnnnnnnnn + on on on = 23
onnnnnnnn onnnnnnnnn onnnnnnnnn + on on on on on on = 36
Think read how to erase the codes, then go for a drink and a drive - see what comes up next video

You've got your video clip as a record of original codes, so yes delete by disconnecting neg terminal; recheck codes ign on then run engine & recheck to see if others came up. have you got abs & auto trans as codes may also refer to them as well as engine.
Its easy to missread codes when I looked again it appeared to be 11 14 22 18 11 14 22 32 12 18 what do you interpret the flashes to be?
Clearing them is what you need to do next!
