Yes, is the SN 100251, and the software 2012.2 is ok.

you have the new autocom 3in1.
different hardware from cdp first gen.
forget the red box. You have the silver one.
the gold one have also some issuses, but there are manny fixes here on forum.
Stay on the goldbox.:-)

Hello I am using the realterm and he does not read the number of series, I am doing something badly?



1. Connect the interface to the vehicle and to your computer via USB.
2. Run RealTerm
3. Go to the Port tab and set the port speed to 38400 baud and select the COM port on which we installed interface.
4. Click Change to apply the settings.
5. Closed and reopened communication by clicking OPEN.
6. Go to the SEND tab.
7. Type command "readserial" in the first box on the top and click "Send ASCII" (terminal shows the current serial number, eg 39071)
8. Again type command "progserial 30250" in the first box on the top and click "Send ASCII"

The serial number has been changed. We can check it by the readserial command.
Close RealTerm.

Hi All!
I have a gold Autocom for car (with OKI chip)
Old version with two circuitboard and I used (and bought) with 2011 release 3 software, without problem until now.
But now when I plug in to the USB port the windows recognize the VCI unit but (in) the Autocom software isn't: Unknown device (VCI) Test is fault.
I try to reinstall and try to isntall on other PC, always the same problem.
The Autocom 2011 Relase 1 software is recognize the VCI normally but when I test the hardware the software is report so the serial number is not allowed to the hardware and ask me to type a new hardware key. I try many hardware key, but no succes.

What can I do to work again?:viking:

Hello, To change the number of series, the tool.exe is in use but it me does not recognize it, and with the realterm I believe that one can.

hello, how about, I have a very similar problem with the same autocom cdp + after installing the firmware update autocom 2.11.3 but when I was just 70% is the laptop battery, after that it does not recognize vci, I tried to putting on a new file ept the ftdi chip but still not updated, the serial number was 100,251, see you on the board's silkscreen tx ts and cts, could be programmed via the serial port the firmware?

reading other micro autocom was ok and then setting them in locked and all ok, the micro I had not read lock must use the tool st, just 5 wires are used I think. regards

I see you looking for this J400 pinout on several places. The way how I find this is consulting STM32F205ZGT6 datasheet and looking for the info of what pins are needed for JTAG. Then use multimeter to cross check between J400 and to those MCU pins

i was fighting with that problem for last 3 nights.
finally, the problem was that it wasn't a cdp+ unit (as in description).
SN wasn't 100251 like in video file suggested and it wasn't vcp new (delphi soft).
I've used tool.exe to check serial and it show 30250 not 100251.
That gave me an idea thats not the unit I ordered.
Solution to get it working (recognized by auto program as a vci device) was install delphi softwase not as a ds150e (new) like instructions showed. Just install it as a old unit VCP (not +) DS150E and all works fine.
Hope that helps to many who solved unknown device in test mode and can't change firmware.

Hi My friends, My friend was doing firmware update on Autocom ( CDP+ ).
During update he accidentally pull the plug.
After that when You connect power supply and
USB to Autocom, laptop recognize Autocom on COM4, and 4 LED's light with red color, no connection to the cars.
No update firmware with Autocom's software was posible since.
Solution for problem:

I manage to program ARM STM32 through USB with help from Flash loader demonstator.

1.Connect Autocom to external power supply or car and connect it to USB of laptop
2.Run Flash loader demonstator
3.On first screen select com port from autocom com4
4.Bridge the TP102 to TP205 and hold it bridged, like Serdarmsc picture says (I use two wires to bridge it)
5.Briefly bridge the RST to Vss, like Zmann picture says (I also use two wires to bridge it)
6.Remove TP102 from TP205
7.Click "next" on the Flash loader demonstator,
if you have successfully done the previous steps You go to the next screen
of the Flash loader demonstator select device STM32 1024Kb and "click" next.
8.In the tab-donwload to device, select the file from
Autocom's folder firmware (I select OBD_VCI+.hex),
and "click" program or download I can remember it :0)
9.Wait the progress bar...
10.Remove USB from Autocom
11.Remove power supplay from it
12.Connect power supply and USB to laptop and start autocom

Thats all

believe it or not

try to simulate the same situation again by Flash loader demonstator to load FF dump or any random into the vci. now the vci gets all red color! do firmware update again by software. you will get surprise!

ps. if the vci get completely bricked by this test i would buy one for you :)

edit: i made it by unplugging the usb while fw downloading and brinking red!

NB. when doing the update by sw at this time it may need to repeat the update two rounds, one for main and second for generic obd. noticable that on typical updating there are two red brinking periods that could be these two things.

some fact. every time when the sw starting fw update command to cdp+ it begins with the whole flash deletion (to all FF) prior to the new download. on this phase the sw could establish a connection to STM32 without looking to the fw and doesn'care what its data content was. this test could be linking to the long tale of cdp+'s get bricked by fw update!

Hi, why someone thinks that this situations are the same...mybe My friend have difrent then this situation, it is a "curent"...I helped My friend...this was mine solution...if someone thinks that I did not try to flash the Autocom with other solution (like autocom software) then this...that, a litle bit funny...so if someone have situation similar to mine friend...I think solution thats do no harm to autocom is solution that I posted. If somenoe thinks diferent then please post what is wrong in this solution.

hi bokilee, nothing wrong with your solution and it works too. my posts are just to say some basic technical relation of the firmware to the softwware. unforetunately i missed one thing to mention to your post. your friend could have a coincident, the pc was with imperfect device driver and then the crash by unplug.

imperfect device driver was happened by REinstalling the different software version on the pc without updating the driver. it works to run the sw but not to support updating the fw. now you see all and may be able to simulate your same situation for test if like.

There is easy way to check autocom. Connect to car and usb. Open my computer and check device menager . Next open usb devices .If there is VCI DIAGNOSTIC UNIT device connected to your laptop device works good. If laptop dosnt recognise autocom as a unknow device, your autocom is a scrap. Regards.

I have an old version of autocom (golden one with two motherboards) who doesn't work. I've updated it to 2013.1, diagnosed 3 cars and now it does not work anymore. I see it in device manager on port 15 put the software does not see it. I tried tool.exe to see the serial number, but it does not see the interface.
When I connect it to the car the red light comes on, but not with full light; it does not light at full power. I don't know what might be the problem.
Until know I`v changed the resistors and k-line transceivers. Also re soldered all the joints. Any help will be appreciated...

Hello all, I have same problem.
I have original Autocom CDP 2014.2 with 30250 VCI.
I installed 2013.2 and also tried with 2014.2 - Device is unknown in hardware setup (Inside of software under Hardware setup).
Drivers are correctly installed, COM (VCP) port is visible.
I tried also to connect to car but same thing.
please, m I missing something or what? First time using this device, really don't know if there is some procedure to work with cracked software/serial - etc.
I tried with 10251 and also with 30250 - same situation.
I activated software with 30250 serial.
My hardware ID for FTDI is: FTDIBUS\COMPORT&VID_0403&PID_D6DEDo I have to flash device to work or what?

This message is displayed if the interface is not connected to the car.
In addition, you need to install drivers twice:
1) COM PORT (your com port 3)
and
2) Universal serial bus controllers.

I am sorry if you already answered on my question but I am newbie using Delphi autocom (SN 100251 rev1), and before first use, I already have a problem.
I have software 2016 and after first use i activated software and i cannot go further because it said that I need to update driver. In settings, I searched for the device. It was on COM9 and i press UPDATE button.
I dont know for sure but I think that connector accidentally loosened and the update was interrupted.
After that, when i connect device to OBD connector there is no light on the box, and after I connect it to PC I got two red lights. Software do not see VCI anymore but PC see it in device manager.
I read this topic and find many solutions, but i do not know which is for my problem, because there are many hardware and software versions :(

i solved problem. even though the program could not detect VCI i pressed UPDATE and it finished this time without any problems.
