Try after the reset switch off the ignition for 30 seconds.
Programming, coding, adaptation. Everything completes the ignition is switched off and turned on.
Otherwise, the ECU not assimilate new data.

Hi Insomnia,

Like genius says, after each change of component state you must switch off the ignition for a minimum of 10 seconds before continuing.

I use the genuine VauxCom with UK support from Ilexa and that was the explanation given to me when I 1st started using it and I had the same problem.

I understand the need for clone tools if you are only tinkering but if you do this for a living, contact Ilexa, buy the real tool and get free support :)

Concerning your original question:

with the ecu not paired, the starter will NOT spin,

ok so i think i have figured out this one i was about to pack in last night on it and i realised when i got the replacement ecu first i realised that when i done auto id on op com it picked it up as a zafira i had the vin number that came with the pump saved on my laptop and i found a link on google that show what the vin number mean so on this link it says on a vectra c the 5th number should be Z which is correct i have checked a few vectra c dumps and all have Z in the 5th digit so i had a look at the vin number on the replacement ecu and the 5th digit is T so if you look at the link you will see that T is for astra g or zafira a, i think the flash on the ecu has to be different so i will look for a different one and see what happens

hi yes the car is turning over now what options or tools needed to reflash i dont think carprog can do it

17th December, 2012, 01:35 PM
i took the ecu from the car and read the file again with carprog i see that the vin number is there put the security coded did not program its not on the 3 lines were it should be so its a programming error

today i was talking to guy in breakers and he was 100% that the ecu was good so i put it back in the car tryed programming again after reseting with carprog and i only have one error code now which is (p0380) but still when i go to cim then immo programming put my pin options open accepts the security code when i select ecm installed and do it it just does noting but car is trying to turn over

LOL,

leave the ignition on and security time will count down. your booked for 20 minutes, not too bad. after that you can match the modules, finally.
otherwise you'll have to change dump, butin your case it's quicker and easier just to wait the 20 minutes.

Actually the punishment starts with 10 minutes and doubles each time you enter wrong code or something similar...

Resetting ecu with carprog is possible but won`t help. This, because the immo unit is locked, not the engine ecu.
You would have to edit the immo dump.

Try to leave the switch open for a prolonged time, in extreme cas up to 25 hours, regardless from the time indicated in measuring block.

BTW, why don't you push the thanks button for those who spend time in helping you?

o my god lol this is really testing me i will leave the ignition open and see what happens so if the immo unit is locked were is it possible to get that file thanks this really has me going

just realise also the security time wait is active in the ecm diagnose not the cim does that still mean its immo

We walk in the surrounding can you tell everything beginning of the story, because somewhere is what is missing adding a new ECU from another car, if everything is consistent only had paired immobilizer to a new ECU

What exactly was wrong with the old ECU any foult codes?
What was wrong with the car, why you decided to blame it is the ECU
Have you changed your high pressure pump?
Do you have done any changes except the ECU

ok m8 so here is the story

friend of mind was driving the car he said he stoped the car at a petrol station and car would not start so he got it back to or town and asked me to plug in to it and when i did i got the error code p0606 so had a look around and see that its a processor fault in the ecu and when i done a bit of research i seen it was major problem he went to the dealer and they also told him is ecu was gone he went of and had a look for an ecu and he got one i had opcom and carprog so we will try after a week of thinking why my opcom is not working i tryed everything with it and realised that the ecu was from a zafira from the vin numbers on saturday last i went i got an ecu from local breakers he told me car was running so i came back got the pin from the ecu and fitted in the car i reset the ecu 1st time but it was still sticking on please wait when i went into cim module to pair them with the pin of the car we have so untill yesterday i didnt see this security wait time i also notice that wait time only shows up in the ecm meassuring block that the full story

Have you changed your high pressure pump?
Why am I asking? Second ECU with the same error that means that hi-pressure pump itself ECU problems m8 On this machine control system control unit has a built-in pump. Therefore, to replace the ECU, it is necessary to change the fuel pump, and install another pump, it is necessary that both the pump were reseted using the pin code immobilizer each machine

this error code in feature event can occur if the terminals 49, 51, 53, 55 ECU voltage incorrectly. These terminals of the relay-powered engine So this time to check carefully before taking further action.

hi so i have not done any other tests on the car yet the reason for it i can not get rid of that security code i have left the charger plugged in and hooked up to battery but for more than 24 hours but still did not clear any idea what way i could reflash the ecu is there any tool that will do other than tech 2

Hi

If the Engine is Now Cranking then I don't think there any problem with your programming as this system if its not been paired properly it will not let you crank...........

1) Make a full Auto Scan and post the DTC here

2) Make sure the fuel system is been bleed properly and there is NO any air in the Fuel System..

P0380 is a fault code for an Glow Plugs which will not stop your Vehicle to start....

Did you reset the Instrument and Airbag Module after programing/pairing every thing............

Edited: Glad You got it running.............just ignore my post........
