Hi all!
I have a little problem when I try to change vci serial, because I get error "Transmision error" when I click on READ SN, what can I do?

and check in device manager that the drivers have installed right

But both things are confirmed. I tried on W7 and XP and drivers are installed right :(

Your probably using a 6 digit serial number device... is yours CDP+?

mine had a six figure number and changed to 5 without a problem

cdp+ (6-digit) is usually with one pcb inside, the older cdp have two pcb.

Hi again.
I can activate and VCI is detected with 2011 version but I cant with this one so I tried to change serial with that tool.
I used this information to register and activate:
a-710-479 - JJKLPRJKVIBP - 20418
Another idea to solve this?

if the serial isnt blocked cant u install again using the 6 numbered serial

I have a 6 digit and couldn't change but then realised that my serial wasn't banned anyway

still sounds like a driver problem to me ? mine did this and l realised it was still installing drivers then it worked fine
try this
AUTOCOM NO VCI FOUND Problem Solved!!!
GOOD NEWS NOW AUTOCOM WORK PERFECT ....BLUETOOTH OK
ALSO PROBLEM SOLVED VCI NOT FOUND ....SOLVED THIS PROCEDURE I DONE
Simple Steps as follows:
1. Disconnect from internet
2. Delete folder with all files in it: "c:\Documents and Settings\USER\Application Data\Autocom
3.Delete folder with all files in it: "c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Autocom
4. Start Main.exe, reactivate software and you're done!
5. Most important, stay off line from the internet.

So problems with "VCI not found" are not for serial number issues?

vci found but I can not change the seriale.il tool gives me error transmission.

please stop fouling around!!!!
This is your fix.
1, plug in youre vci
2, start program
3, update youre vci firmware.
job done!!!
Now you can change back serial,;-)
