Are you sure you in the right occupation? To even ask what tool to use to change mileage on a combo, even a school kid knows to use opcom to do mileage. I am glad its not my vehicle you working on.

Nope, not sure, but got to start somewhere like with everything else.

I'm playing with car that's about to be on dump soon, so nothing to lose.

Tnx for help anyway,

Just use opcom on corsa combo and it will do mileage no problem.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I've just changed ECU/IMMO/clocks/bmc in a Corsa C 2005. Need to change mileage, gone through OPCOM EEPROM menu, held down reset button, opcom shows writing is successful. But mileage ondash is still the same!
I have tried disconnecting battery for 2 hours, remove both dash fuses for 30 minutes and also disconnecting dash for 20 minutes!
Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?
Don't know if this is relevant but every function on OPCOM works ok apart from when I try to read instrument fault codes, sometimes it says ecu timeout check ignition is on.
Any help would be appreciated

Some 2005 up Have a different connection via OBD

Autowave

Ok, so what is that connection? Also then surely it would not tell me writing success?

This is tacho universal picture
This is plug on back of the dash
green wire k line if you know the wires on your OBD plug then wire to the back of dash

Ok,so shall I connect to my OPCOM interface? using just +,+,- and K line?

Did you sort it mate

Autowave

No, I connected dash to psu and used pin 12 on opcom interface direct to dash. But opcom menu just says changing init. Do I hve to use power from opcom as well?

batandball

look at the k line pin at the dash end from picture and put tester to the OBD socket on van for k line

Check fuse box under bonnet and make sure the 3 three 7.5 amp fuses at top right are present. I had a corsa c which mileage wouldn't change checked fuse box and two fuses were missing which were supposed to be there

tryt putting on chocks and drive fast in reverse to required mileage , works every time for me

Autowave

All fuses are present. I'll try as above by connecting it all up as normal but bridging pin 12 of OPCOM directly to k line pin behind clocks. I will try and report.

Wish I could change via EEPROM on this!

PremierD

Mate .. you sre changing it in the eeprom .. just in this case it's the one thats in the NEC .. mcu :)

Autowave

No I meant physically reading an EEPROM and editing the dump. I try and avoid tinkering with MCUs. But hopefully the method I'm about to try will work.......

If you wire it right it definitely works

Autowave

Right, I must be doing something wrong. Firstly sorry for being a pain in the backside I understand this is a very simple process but it doesn't seem to be working. I have attached 2 photos of hat I am doing. I have stripped the kline wire from behind the dash and also pin 12 from behind the obd port and joined them together! Is that not correct?193648193649

193652Pin 7 is K line on car OBD

Autowave
18th April, 2013, 10:05 PM
I have tried pin 7 but still the same, I can't even get measuring blocks on the instrument. I think I will have to put it down to having a poor quality OPCOM interface. Thanks anyway.

Wot machines you got other than opcom

Autowave
18th April, 2013, 10:12 PM
For vauxhall just OPCOM, programming wise I have UPA, CDH programmer and a few other bits
