I have Caddy with abs ecu defective, it is common problem on those cars, replacing abs solves the problem. There is no communication with abs at all, vw part number is:

1K0 614 117 H

manufacturer is ATE.

anyone know is there any way to repair this unit?

Hi, problem is the pressure sensor, Brake Fluid works it way into & through the sensor & shorts out system, U just need to change mechanical part of ABS or have sensor Replaced. VW sell Mechanical unit seperate. Regards P.

If helpfull, press the BUTTON.

The problem above doesn't seem to be the usual brake pressure sensor fault as the OP said that there is no communication with abs unit. When brake pressure sensor is faulty it doesnt have any effect on comms.

Yes there is no communications with abs at all, i checked all fuses, feeds and grounds, all seems to be ok. Maybe there is broken wire like in bosch 5.3?

Can you post the picture of abs unit ? I think your fault is caused by 990-9393.1 C driver.

I have had this---normally mk4 golf-but you still get communication with abs unit.

but this was a pig to see...like you say busaman-you need to check the fuses very carefully.
