Hi Guys,

As my normal INPA K+CAN cable died I'm about to buy a newer D+CAN cable.

BMW INPA K+CAN (http://www.chinasinoy.com/wholesale/bmw-inpa-k-can-743.html)

Could I use this cable with the BMW Scanner 1.4.0 and 2.1.0 software, or do these need a different cable? As if I can not, I'll just simply buy this interface:

Super BMW INPA +140+2.01+2.10 Diagnostic Interface (http://www.chinasinoy.com/wholesale/super-bmw-inpa-140-201-210-diagnostic-interface.html)

Which incorporates an INPA D+CAN / BMW Scanner 1.4.0 and 2.1.0 interface.

Thanks,

Tibi

What 1 are you intrested in dave?
K+Dcan is a very very good cable if you buy it from the right place. Everyone says to buy it from onestopelectronics but the one I have is from cable-shack and funtions flawlessly. I have used it with DIS, INPA, flashed modules with winkfp, coded modules with ncsexpert and never ever had a problem. It lives in the boot of my car and gets used probably more than the ICOM I have at the workshop.

I originally brought a bad 1 from china a long time ago and it wouldnt work with post 2007 can-bus cars so choose carefully where you buy it from. I have the ?37.99 version with the block that joins pins 7+8 for pre can cars.

Here are some screenshots from a r56 mini and from an e46 M3 that I used my cable on.

The software that came with the cable was crap. I installed it my own way to get it exactly how I wanted it.

I have not tried that interface but I have used bmwscanner 1.4.0 and it makes it very easy to change vin but its limited on coding. If it does what it says it would be a good choce as you could run ncsexpert with it to change vins and for advanced coding.

sepistar (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/members/192030-sepistar/) the k+dcan cable will not run bmwscanner software.
