just buy a wan kin remote lock kit off flea bay got one the other week new in box ?12
like this
Vehicle Car Remote Central Lock Locking Keyless Entry System Remote Controllers | eBay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vehicle-Car-Remote-Central-Lock-Locking-Keyless-Entry-System-Remote-Controllers-/111054099095?pt=UK_Car_Accessories_Safety_Security&hash=item19db571297#ht_3982wt_1101)
whilst your buying shit off ebat you could for educational or entertainment purposes buy
one of these 315HZ remote kits ?3.89 delivered
RF 315MHz Wireless Electric Garage Gate Door Remote 20m | eBay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RF-315MHz-Wireless-Electric-Garage-Gate-Door-Remote-20m-/251174142265?pt=UK_Gadgets&hash=item3a7b254139)
then add to the order
Universal Cloning Electric Gate Garage Door Remote Control Key Fob 433mhz Cloner | eBay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Universal-Cloning-Electric-Gate-Garage-Door-Remote-Control-Key-Fob-433mhz-Cloner-/230746937342?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item35b996d7fe)
these remotes are 12 volt which is great you can then get a timer relay skanked off a Vauxhall Cavilier (behind glove box for heated mirrors)
this will then give you on/off control and auto shut off after 15 mins.N
ow the only problem you might find is as your cleaning your car in the street there might be some bloke on his cell phone saying
"I can't physacally get in - the remote is not reposnding - ok - i'll calll ...... instead"
BUT if you in the bath and some tawt is revving the nuts off thier rotten golg gti - which you know for a fact has a cat 1 alarm on it bingo try restarting that pal.

the standard remotes for this car are quite expensive, and you will need a pin code to program it. 3D group sell them without the blade for just under ?50, so meaty's methos may be a preferred method as with the ebay central locking kits, you will get 2 fobs too.

AFTERTHOUGHT:-
1) Ebay ?4 - 315 MHZ can't jamb with 433 MHZ transmitter
2) Buy extra ones - the links inside the remote are soldered - so each car has two remotes
3) The 'spare' modules solder them the same and write reg no on it so you can solder a remote go rob car
4) ADVERTSEMENT:- ?105+VAT supplied and fitted at M-H-M TWO remotes 1 year warranty

the lock button on dash works without ignition being on so my idea would work and is the easiest don't you agree just tap the remote module into the circuit for the button,
