I think ID40 transponder is not reusable but all three types of remotes with 2 buttons are (Bosch RK203, Kiekert 5442, Kiekert 5468). Must be the same type.
Also remote for Corsa C, Tigra, Meriva with ID40 is also reusable.

easy answer - remote yes, transponder no, but you can remove old transponder and install a new one with ease.

Touareg key is the exception - the entire key locks on them - key + remote and cannot easily replace transponder as solution.

Transponder is Locked (LB1=0 LB0=1) so you need to know that PIN to be able to unlock it. After you unlock it(again- you must know the pin) then you can re-write PIN Bytes.

Thanks alot for the great info.

How about the Chinese BMW Keys? The CAS2 and CAS3 type? Those used on the E90 / E91. They normally lock when programmed. Original BMW keys can be unlocked if you have CAS dump.
However I have plenty of the Chinese keys laying here that are locked. I messed them up when I was still new at these BMW keys. The CAS3+ were the ones that messed most up.

However yesterday I cam across the info on TMPRo 2 website which claim their unit can unlock these keys without known password.
Any Ideas? I can save some $$$.

As a general rule, remote keys with separate Transponder chips can be RE used, those with built in Transponder and a coil on the pcb lock. There are exceptions, but I think this covers the majority

ori key are broken, I did swap U9280M from ori key to other key pcb ( same model ) . car doesnt start, immo light flashing.. what Im doing wrong?

Yes you can also you can program used key from other Mazda

As far as I know it is not possible.
one try, one shot.
The transponder is not separate as on older models (Golf 3, 4 & 5).
It is integrated on the board and after key programming and learning the remote will be stored automatically…

Yes i know that normally the remote learns automatically with the transponder at once.

But now there are those MQB chips from VVDI, which you can prepare for a Golf 7 for example.

So i liked to know if those remotes also can be learned to car seperately...
Then you could just unsolder the transponder from the PCB and put one from VVDI in it, and use the key again.

Maybe somebody already tried it, if i had here such a car by hand, i would try it for sure!
