First of all what key blade dose it have?
Second - dose it have electrical or mechanical windows on the back?
If it has retractable back seats gain entrance by unlock the trunk (make hole in the back of number plate and open it).

HU92 - only door lock on drivers door, lock is broken - picked and made a key but just turns - no effect.

Fits boot lock ok, but complete metal behind seats, no access into car - DEADLOCKED

All electric windows.

wedged door and pressed lock button but no effect.

now what would you do??

I did this already this morning - pulled bonnet open, bit awkward but done it, powered up pin 86 of coil relay to bring ignition on, then press window switch.

Was a bitch to remove EWS module with doors closed though, starski & hutch style entrance/exit needed!!

I had today a E39 from 2003 until I got there the client smashed the glass and was surprised he can't open the car :D
He broke the driver's door lock too. I took the EWS to make chip and be able to open door but I wonder if the trunk lock has all the wafers in order to make a working key for ignition!?
Anyone know that?

button in console work? (some bmw unlock and lock fast, if you are fast enougth press that button and pull interior handle)

pd: off topic, i open trunk easy way. and some models open all door too. tutorial instacode

you cant open a deadlocked car unless the door lock is serviceable, when you have wedged door and pulled bonnet release, open ecu cover in engine bay and find the relays - different method for diesel and petrol - petrol - light green relay - remove it and look on bottom of relay, you will see numbers - 85,86,87,30 etc, join pin 30 to pin 86 in the socket and ignition will come on.
Now you can press window switches with a long rod.

If you have doors open but keys in trunk, very easy - open back door right side, pull loom from sill area, grey/green wire, put 12 volts and boot opens.

keysph - never tried the boot lock, but I think all wafers in every lock on hu92 type.

if you get a diesel model, you need to power a green wire on plug b on ecu, to get ignition on.

What software are you using to get those instructions nicocr (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/members/368881-nicocr/)?

I had that info years ago, never worked to open all doors, only boot. Check the wiring diagram on auto da ta and you will see that it will not open the doors.

Likely a stupid thought but can you unlock the car via the boot lock? I remember I could on my e30, e36 and I believe e39, I thought it worked the central locking.

Had a quick look on autodata and it looks like you could of powered up the reverse light switch to put the ignition on. Would be easier than opening the bonnet.

yes, reverse light switch works too, but I only got a scisor jack in my van, and im not getting under a bmw on grass held up by this :)

I did make a key from the door lock and it worked the boot but only opened the boot, all doors stayed deadlocked.

Just pry off driver side cylinder plastic cover off. Some skill and force ( later you can glue it back on, since some tabs brake).
Now cylinder exposed. Drill on a slight angle at the pin hole location with a 1/8 inch bit until the screw is exposed. Now cut the slot for flat screwdriver in that screw. Don't be afraid to drill in to the lock frame. When done, use sized flat head to screw it back inside. When out - use bigger screwdriver to turn lock and watch all doors unlock.

ninja, can u explain how did u manage to open the bonnet??

ninja123
17th December, 2013, 08:17 AM
wedge top of drivers door, use a long rod with 90 degree bend at end, locate rod behind bonnet release lever and pull - a bit tricky but done a few times now and managed everytime.

Since the ignition was on...didn't u try to unlock doors using central locking/unlocking button just near to gear shift lever

wont work unless transponder is recognised, same as remote programming wont work until you have programmed transponder in ignition.

i really have to try this next time i have one in , but i remember i made a jumper to jump some wires on the 20 pin diagnostic and still the door could not open also the alarm went off , on some model this may work .

on some model e34 and e39 you can power up one wire and all doors open , from the trunk , if you can get to that wire .

use a slave battery and test light connect neg to body of car and clip the test light on positive battery and touch one wire at a time when you hit the right one all doors open , no damage to any thing with this method , tested and made by me .

Bit late now, NO IDEA how this works, but there a rumor that says you can doo it on these by taking the cover off the mirror and shoerting wires

OFF TOPIC:-

Few months ago at M-H-M had a 3 series in, mirrors were digital - 3 wires, neg, pos data.

ON TOPIC:-

Beleived to be genuine but unable of offer evidense
