Mercedes Sprinter edc16c31 ecu cloning

Hello Folks,

i need a short info about cloning this ecu ( edc16c31)

We have here a MB Sprinter year 2008 ecu is defekt,

i read the files with my BDM but i can only read flash and mpc is that enouth for cloning this ecu ??

will it work if i copy this files to my new used ecu ??

HI yes hardware number is the same ! but i can not read eeprom !! the flash have virtuelles eeprom inside and with bdm i can only read full flash and mpc file 512kb

winols tells me that in the flash file is a virtuell eeprom !!

thank you mercis !! ecu is open was no problem !! i had difficulter ecus as this one.

you think full read from this ecu and write to used new ecu musst work !?

the eeprom musst be includet in the flash file. with bdm100 i can only read flash 2048 kb and mpc 512 kb

i will have a try !! i write the full bdm read to new used ecu and put it in car !!

by that way did you know where to finde the speedlimiter (vmax limit) in this software ?

hello mercis i have tryed with bdm100 and write the full file from the defekt ecu to new used ecu !!

problem is no comms with the ecu in car !! if i turn on the ignition i cant hear klick the relay and i dont see in the dash the yellow coil for glowing

with the defekt ecu it work !!

what can i do now ??

Update : i tryed to read the new used ecu on table !! did not work !! i can`t read the ecu over k-line and can !! the old ecu i can read on table over k line !!

Hi maybe a checksum issue if you not getting eml light or coil light now - I have seen same issue with Bdm100 on edc16 vectra c Ecu.

full file only in bdm mode !! the strange thing is the ecu is working read/write in bdm mode.

@remapking i dont think its a checksumm error ! i tryed with my galletto too, and let him make cks

software file is ok ! the only thing that could have happen is like mercis says ! ecu damage !! from whatever reason

yes i do it slow too !! ca. 30 min for opening ! question do you have a solution for dpf off for sure !! or is ecusafe working on sprinter edc16 ??

my consideration is now the following !! my old ecu shows always dpf error and sensor B signal error.

maybe it helps to deactivate the dpf and car is not more in the limp mode !!

do you can deactivate the dpf manually ?? switch off ??

if you can and it works i pay you !

ok not bad not bad ! but you see always that the ecu was open / or something was taken off

Have you been able to make ECU communicate with vehicle? Mine T1N (04) communicates fine with BDM but in bootstrap loop when installed to Sprinter. Any suggestions pls?
