View Full Version : PCF7946AT INITIALIZATION

Hi

I need help as to how i can get a brand new PCF7946 to start working once it is soldered on to a key pcb.I have a few used BMW and NISSAN NAVARA and i have replaced the old chip with new ones,once that is done none of my programmers can read the keys.
So the question is how to get it started and what hitag2 programmer can do this?

Check your soldering,it has to work,it won't be precoded,but it will work.Or the other option is the chip is defective.

when a new chip is normally the programmer can not read it (no brain inside:blue:)
what I know is that we must prepare the chip for the car (virgin) and then educate to car
in new chip must program corect immo ID and central lock ID
ask all dk member to post more info here to explane PCF7946 , PCF7947 and PCF7944 chip (IC)

It must identify the chip as PCF7946.His device is not detecting new chips at all,that's the problem.

not detecting at all,just says cant read chip or no chip inserted.

I once bought 25 (35080chip) from china and none worked, if I were you try to buy from a reputable supplier.

once on the board and "powered" you need to use zedbull or similiar to precode from dump then its ready to use on car HTH
