For LP2951ACM check output voltage, if correct no need change. As for the mostfets Q20 and Q18 i suggest you look in rs-online, sure they have and better use that same P/N not another. L9637D are same no matter which you choose.

There is a link here somewhere(in another thread by the same guy) with ETP and software for v54 chinese, software is included and you need 0475 hex & ept etc. First do the cpu with siemens software and then do ept and the other file and after you install software and you use the drivers that are in the installed software folder(program files etc).

i never said that i can do work 0386 with v53 or viceversa!


i always wrote that v53 clean with one mod at two dll can work perfect without problem, i wrote that software v54 are bad cracked and have no stability for this reason!




v53 work only with 0475 (the only best clone fg)

I had V54 with 0386, hardware is full reworked( from fantomel his files) I have downgraded it to 0475, I m searching a long time for a clean software v53,
I do use now 0475 with AES but I m not Satisfied with aes

but each time Stop reading at 1% ( reading ECU ID No Problem)

Hi all. I'm officially stumped. I used a friends galletto 4 v54 chinese clone and it worked perfectly. So I decided to buy one also. I've installed the software to he letter. On 2 win 7 laptops. Even bought an xp pro sp3 pc with nothing on and installed. The software loads. Detects the galletto. Then I try read a file via bdm and the screen freezes. My tool works 100% on my friends laptop. Read. Write. Edc17. Everything ok. But wot work on any of my pcs or laptops. Even installed using his install files. Same result. Anyone had this problem solved? Everything works until I press connect. Then the leds flash once and everything freezes. What am I doing wrong? I've tried all the various combinations on all the forums and YouTube with the same results...

Chinese v54 software runs into his own virtualized environment, that is why is so machine resources hungry app, maybe your processor is not "compatible" with the virtualmachine generated for that executable. And that is why many people have problems and hungs running galletto sw on their laptops and working good on other machines.

If your hardware not support just one of the instructions used on the virtual machine then no matrer what os you use or how many times you install it, simply will not work.

Another common problem is drivers mixture with other ft232 based devices you may have installed, chinese fgtech only run on their own drivers.

I've already received my galletto v54. May you tell me if this PCB is good? I know about HS14 to replace.
Today I've tried to read some of ECU's, EDC15P went OK, there was problem with EDC16C3 - scenic 1.9DCI, galletto recognises him, but not read. Any idea? I will post pictures of hardware and my connections.

I present my new Galletto v54, comes with software, and with all the accessories. I also show you the plaque. It is a Chinese clone, but in the box I put US and came in a carton. I have also seen the PCB board and it looks like the welds are pretty good.


If for some reason you need the software, I do not hesitate to share it with you. It gives a false positive in the antivirus.


I have also bought this BDM bank and the truth is that I am very happy with it.

I have been using my Galletto for quite a while now and suddenly it stopped working.

I have done everything needed to make it as stable as possible. Reworked the board according to instructions on here. Installed the ept., epp. Hex fix etc. was working perfectly with 0475 hardware and fantomel's software without needing to turn back the date.

Reading through this thread it seems i need a 1,4mb ftd2xx.dll, is that 100% true? as the one i have is only 200kb. anyone able to help out?

On 64bit host OS, most probably, you need to disable driver signature enforcement at boot time to allow any unsigned driver to be loaded. If i remember well error 10 means the driver is not signed or the check keys are not updated.

Install sw to default place c:\fgtech

Connect galletto v54 to usb port.

Go to device manager and unistall actual driver of fgtech.

Unplug fgtech from usb and plug it again.

Install drivers provided into c:\fgtech folder. This is important, older drivers won't work,

Then make usbfix with same file FG as used with v53.

Then try to open sw, if OS is xp run eobd.exe not eobd2.exe

If OS is win7 run eobd2s.exe.

Hi, I have a galletto 4 VD300 (Chinese) with the AES software provided by fantomel and I am trying to make a clone of a Bosch MG7.9.8 ECU (1600cc accent for elantra 1600cc). I could copy the files in boot mode (micro + flash) of ECU of the elantra: the one of the automatic transmission and the motor, both of 2097152 bytes. I can install the file of transmission on the Accent ECU without problem, but the engine file only install a half: write the firmware, but the flash maintains the original accent. When the engine microprocessor is read, it reads two files, but when you write, you just write one. Does anyone know why that happens and can help me? Does not allow the galletto to clone the ECU MG7.9.8? The eeprom I could read and write using the MinPro100E without problem. Thanks in advance!

Guys, bad news,
I open the 15way plug and the resistor was in wrong position....it was between orange wire(CAN-L) and blue wire...by the way I tested the resistor with mulimeter and was 4Kohm...
the switch does not cut red wire +12volt, only cut the white external 12volt adapter....

Anyone who buys china v54 please test the 15way cable...

Now the ecu is stuck in boot mode and car dont start, no communication via obd.
In boot mode continues read and write...but car dont start...

120 ohm is the value of the resistor thst bridges blue and orange wires. Can bus termination resistor.

The switch may let always feed the fgtech while connected to externall supply on the breakout cable, not the dcjack on the fgtech itself, and just cut the 12 volt to the ecu going red wires.

The 4k tesistor is wrong value.

Hello. I have got a question about reworking. Some people say that ceramic resonator should be replaced by a quartz one. Is that true? Are they 1:1 interchangable? Ceramic has 3 legs, quartz only 2, someone tried this modification?

Try boot mode how writed Teerak2uk, leg 24 from flash (29f400) give GND by resistor 1000 ohm.
If still not read you need to desolder 29f400 and read by programmer.
But if you have 1.4 tdi there not problem read and write by OBD or ECU plug connector.

i am Ocasionaly user Galetto but in this case i must Read Eeprom from Opel ME7.6.2 i got communication and can read flash but Eeprom section looks disabled.

Any person know how i can switcg on to choose or switch.

I remember somethin long long time ago must change something in registry (think) but cant remember what was.

Hi I got a chinese Galletto V54, reflashed it, changed resonator and it works.

Now I have a problem with my Audi A4 2009 ECU. It is a MED17.1 via CAN

I can read and write this ECU in Bootmode with Galletto very well.

But I cannot read or write via OBD. Neither on bench with disabeld immo or in car.
Galletto always tells me that ECU-wakeuo failed. Same issue with MPPS16.

What could be the problem? Has this ECU another protocol? I am nit sure if the problem is on ECU or Galletto-side. Bootmode works great.

never seen 1 with smd caps instead of the normal electrolitic caps before
if there is no through holes for normal caps then you could replace the ceramic smd caps for proper smd eletrolitic caps instead which will work just as good

That edc15c7 you can read with any tool that supports C16x processor bootmode. Ktag should do if you choose ME7 ecu with same flash chip. Also galletto read it bootmode selecting ME7 protocol.

Actually the PCB from photos above, can properly be reworked. I bought SMD electrolitic caps with proper capacitance, removed from them plastic base, and soldered "standing" with theirs legs on pads on board. It works like a charm. Never failed.

i just received my Galletto v54 0475 version but the RX/TX leds were not blinking during operation (just a short blink when plugging in the usb cable) .<br>
I solved this problem by adding 2 10 kohm resistors to the pcb next to the NXP test points , you will see 2 empty locations for these resistors.<br>
Now the leds are blinking during operation (changed them to yellow and green like in the software display) .<br>
I also added a led at D4 next to the power led ( empty on pcb) - this led will light when the usb cable is connected.<br>
not nessesary but fun to have a extra led lighting....
There were also two ZVN210A fet transistors missing om my pcb, i ordered them to see if that makes any difference but i see them mounted on most pcb's so i guess they will serve a purpose...

Did you fixed it? I have the same problem. I remember that it worked after I updated it to 0475. On OBD (bench) it worked well on same Ecu that I tried on BDM. Also I tested with 2 EDC16 ecu, Chevrolet and VAG.I checked the cables. After I click on Connect, relay clicks then error appears. There is an error, eprom micro not supported or something like that.
I reinstalled the software few times, now I realized that is installed in Program Files, not on C:\FgTech.
Computer is the same as before, W7 X64.
