i cant find a valid code for smart fourtwo on mcc0579 , i can find a valid code on the smart fourfour using the hu56 volvo key on 0579 which would be key cuts from bow to tip of 21313224 .

the blade is YM23 (car is 2001 ) , exactly what you said in the recently post .

as the ym23 key , i can find no valid key on this reference , i can only find code HY6001 to HY8130 on instacode

the code for the ym15 is allowed and its not unknown for codes to be same from series to series and code to code for differing blanks , the 10 cuts on the ym15 key which may be same at an outside chance , so may be worth trying 2243211334

this code shows the same cuts for a number of 10 cut mercedes blanks , so it may be same for ym23 , its worth trying cuts 2134331342 to see if same code on other mercedes 10 cut blanks is same , it often is , certainly worth a try

Shimmed out the ignition and took the plug out..
There's room for 8 wafers but only 7 in the plug.
They are all stamped 65 67 67 65 65 67 68...
I'm not 100% on the ym23 now..
Looks like I'll have yo make it by hand

Hi,

First of all: the Smart For Two use the blade YM23, but in small format. The normal YM23 are 10 cuts and the YM23 for Smart are only 8 cuts with 4 depth. I dont know way to convert the code (MCCxxxx) in the depths.

So you have take out the ignition, OK. You find only 7 wafers, the last room is empty, is OK the last cut in Smart YM23 is allways depth 1. You dont need to make the key by hand. Put one virgin key in ignition and see the wafers, if wafer is ok is the depth 1, if is a litle out is depth 2 and so on.

If you need the DSD (cuts, space and depths) for the Smart YM23, I can post.

Your key cut is: 13311341 or 42244211, you can check with only one virgin key and see if the 1 depth is ok in first or second cut.

I hope that help you.

Best regards,

or use the lishi 2in1 pick and decoder , pick and decode the lock and then enter direct cuts and cut the key

try picking trunk and ignition lock and compare your decodes , worn locks can give miss reads
