Hi, I did a quick test on Astra J 2013 year and it worked well. Connection to all modules. In some of them there are only error reading but anyway it is a big progress since the 2010 version and a light at the and of a tunnel for future updates. Thanks again.

Just gave it a try, looks to be spoofing the FTDI ID with some code injection.

Unfortunately both opcoms I have setup on the same machine (1.39 and 1.45) didn't seem to be detected. The app also wanted to be activated before use.

If the soft will try to activate your interfaces they could now be killed.
This version only fakes the FTDI ID to a genuine one. The license in the version is from a genuine user...this interface will now be blocked from future updates.

That means...no general solution for future updates...sad to see that a version with original license is spread. I have doubts of using it...i mean it seems to work also for me but its really strange.

I have now thinking completly different in mind...what if this version was spread initially from Auto M3? I mean if they could kill many clones at one it would be a success for them...as i read above the version is not working for everyone...really strange. Use MProg 3.5 from FTDI and reprogramm FTDI with him.

use exe driver from 120309 and install driver

The cable will be "serial converter" but no com port attached (D2XX driver)
Cable will work with this version and with older chineses versions too..
For peoples with working cable: see in device manager, your cable after using 120308a is serial converter now, even was OPCOMV2 before..

As I figured out it needs the 2.4.6.0 version of the driver to work otherwise if you use the 2.8.x.x or greater version the clone will become a brick. But you can unbrick it to v01.45 if you install the 2.4.6.0 version of the driver and then run the OPCOM.exe from your program!! I managed to revert the driver in my desktop PC (Win 8.1 Pro) to 2.4.6.0 but I can't do it on my netbook with XP... I will try doing a restore...

i don't know what you tell us about drivers, but here, on this pc i have 2.8 driver and work ok to test...on car not tested because this is a PC, not laptop.
I'll see on laptop what driver is, because i made a diagnose on all controlers of a corsa c 2001 z10 xe. And work fine.

And the driver included is 2.8.14..

If you want to work with older versions..like china 2010, 09xxxx, etc, make downgrade to 1.39...
for 120309 upgrade to 1.45.
I don't know how work a version with another fw...can be a disaster for a model car..

The version is "marriaged" with firmware..

Because fw is a little programm, like a driver.

If in 1.39 instructions are : read errors, do something...and in 1.45 is read errors, do something1... the two rutines something and something1..will do different opperations.. in fact a newer fw is not only a "optimized fw", is a "newer fw"...more functions can be rewrited, modified, not only optimized..

Give power to your interface (12v), run software, make any test (try connecting to any module no matter if any car is diagnosed - powered interface it's enough), the software will update the firmware for you and restart after that.

Software works (mostly). Automatically updated my device from 1.39 to 1.45.
Device with new firmware works without problems with old software (8.2010).

This version has a few glitches. Data logging or any attempt to write to file crashes the software:

Real-time display of graphs is mostly useless since most of the parameters are unavailable (something about a beta version).
Few glitches with measuring blocks: sometimes fileds are empty, going back to main menu usually fixes it.

go to diagnostics and click on a car and a unit then the program update interface to 1.45

Your know USB devices and their details you can found under the registry entry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/ENUM/USB/VID_XXXX&PID_YYYY
where XXXX is the VendorId and YYYY is the ProductId of your device. (In case of OP-COM the VID is 0403 and PID is 6001.

Instead of deleting the registry entries for your cable I advise the use of CDM Uninstaller (http://www.ftdichip.com/Support/Utilities.htm#CDMUninstaller) which can remove the drivers associated to a specified VID/PID. This is the official way to remove FTDI drivers for a specified device.

I have no luck with this. I install drivers, all ok. The ftdi is all ok. I open programme , do interface test...failed. "please connect your interface to the usb port, or install driver." I check in system devices and it is recognised. When I connect interface computer recognises it with ding.dong. I tried with computer connected to car for 12v but just the same. Interface is new v45 work ok with 2010. So what am I doing wrong. Any help please

I install vauxcom, ftdi box opens and I press extract, but I don't get the info bubble for usb serial converter on screen, nor is it in device manager. the opcom v2 drivers are there. Maybe there is something missing, but what? Where do I look?

On my old v5 1.39 I first installed to 1.45 and let the program update the firmware and that worked ok. I then installed files from post of cndv (page 4) and updated the firmware manually to 1.59 (used the ocflash and just left it on auto). Everything went fine with no errors. Only tested it on an old can bus Vectra C ECU on the bench but it looks like it all works.

I've got opcom 201008 version - board shows ver 6.0 and firmware has been updated to 1.45
windows sees it as op-com usb v2

I've installed opcom 120309 but when installing drivers it installs two of them but for the 3rd (the actual usb interface) it says it's unsigned and won't install it
If I "test interface" it shows the screen showing it's successful (but doesn't show a serial number, just the firmware version)
but when I plug it into the car it says it cannot find interface and to install the driver.

Unfortunately there is no Opcom 160115a PL software for china clone.
There is 160115a PL but for HQ clone. Does not work with regular china opcom clone. Well, unless after special activation. There is also Vaux Com 160115a EN (posts above) but this is a fake counterfeit software.
