I have a Rover 75 with a broken ABS unit.
Bosch 0265800001
Fault is that abs pump is working all time.
I have open abs unit and check solder and broken wire but all is ok!
Do some one know how to find this fault and if it possible to repair?

Somebody else had this, good excuse to dk search MOSFET (metal oxide seminicenducter, field effect transistor ?)

He means this abs is like trying to solder to a porcelain toilet, rather than real curcuit board

This is what obdsyetems means, I have an ecu the same gold and gel and destroyed it by touching by accident

Ok :)
No mosfet transistor under those 2 aluminium boxes?
It's hard to find a way to separate abs unit, metal pin ar welded...

That looks possible - but have you destroyed any wires to that pcb board ??
See the PCB itself is not designed to be repaired as its not like a conventional pcb - ie open up you computer.
Thanks ZMann - i take it you've successfully repaired these

The pcb with angel gold hair is not possible to fix/solder.
(not by normal tools)
I repair many Vw abs when alu wire is broken.
Microscope and no shaking hands is method to solder new wire to pcb.
Normal pcb is often bad solder problem so they are no problem.
But this Rover is a h*ll...
Zmann, how do you take a part those aluminium boxes?

This mosfet transistor is dead, no ohm on any pin
Do someone know what sort this is so I can order a new?
Is it posible to solder the new one back or do I need to weld connections?
Thx all as helping me!!!

User Dimitar in a nother thread here on DK say:
mosfet 50 volts - 80A non logic level
almost any mosfet
So can I replace my broken with 50v 80a?

I have found some info about Mosfet on this page Successfully repaired ABS - Bosch 5.7 Control Module - Alfa Romeo Forum (http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/alfa-147-156-and-gt/327045-successfully-repaired-abs-bosch-5-7-control-module.html)
And they use a MOSFET 60v 50amp
like this https://www.elfa.se/elfa3~se_sv/elfa/init.do?item=71-175-42&toc=0&q=IRFZ44
Can someone please help me, MOSFET is not my cup of tea...
AND please see may thread here about that we need a NEW ABS-thread under "GARAGE"
http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/f7/need-new-head-thread-under-garage-abs-system-425102/

What typ of MOSFET transistor should I use to repair ABS unit?
the replacement from the link is not very rugged, no gate protection. search codecard.lt for an original STP80NS04ZB
btw, the motor driver is on another block not one in the photo !

Zmann, thx! I did find a boroken MOSFET on the other side :)
Do you think I can replace it by a STP80NS04ZB?

Was mentioned first time in my first post before edit :) I knew you get 0 Ohm between S and D on both!
Yes, your MOSFET's look different brand to mine but I can't see the marking. Mine is an original from Bosch 5.7, STP60NS04ZB (take a stronger by STP80NS04ZB) and I think both are the best replacement.

Thx! I try to replace the broken.
The broken MOSFET has 0 ohm on D+S AND G+D and thats why the motor is running all the time?

After cleaning I can see "BUZ 100S" on mosfet.
And that is a Infineon SIPMOS Power Transistor
Vds=55v
RDS(on)=0,015
ID=77A
Is it ok to change to a 55v and 80a?

I did change 2 of mosfet to new MOSFET N/55V 80A 45W To-220FP but now ABS-light in dash is constant lightning and ABS pump engien don`t work....
Please if some one know something about this help me!!!!

when I messure the Mosfet i get this info
NEW=VGS=2,84V and Id=2,50mA
Used from ABS working=VGS=3,27V and Id=2,50mA
Is this why it don`t work in car?
