a friend in the trade asked me to reset the service light on 2012 audi with vag-com (no joy).
contacted ross-tec who were very helpful and gave me instructions on how to do it (deep joy).
the point is, a lot of vehicles after 2010 use the new U D S sytem, you need to type in the
time\distance\ect\ect to the next service, and a dealer number to except this information.
perhaps consult is the way to go.

found another one but if can has dpf only consult can reset
Switch the ignition ON. (One click)
By pressing and holding the clock switch (clock switch is RH switch in meter) about 3 seconds while the
maintenance distance and wrench symbol are displayed (about 5 seconds after turning on the ignition).
It comes to setting mode. The maintenance distance and wrench symbol will flash.
While these are flashing, press the clock switch to display the current maintenance distance.
Press the clock switch again to increase the setting distance by 500 miles (1000km) increments.
The maximum setting is 31,500 miles (63000 km).
Pressing the clock switch one more time after this will
return the setting to 0.
When the setting procedure is complete, do not touch the switch for 5 seconds (until odo meter: ON,
wrench symbol: OFF).
looks like l will have to buy another toy

What ever happened to the EEC legeslatikn "All leppers and retards MUST be able to reset oil service with no tools"
PARTLY ON TOPIC:-
Think was either Nissan or Peugeot, if gies NINE miles past a service, it has to be reset via dealer tool.
Doesn't benefit anybody, just puts the price up for the end user (TM)
