Hi,
Recently moved property, and having a bit of trouble with the boiler.. It has a wireless receiver and obviously a sender near the boiler!.
Now the receiver seems to be a bit shyte.. It keeps turning itself off.. wiggle the batteries and the displays lights up again! it constantly shows low battery even though its had new ones!!
Now i was wondering if i could simply purchase a new receiver without replacing the sender?? obv im aware the 2 will have to be paired.
The receiver is a Salus rt500rf
If i have to change the sender is it just simply swap the wiring like for like??

Yes you can just purchase receiver.
Easily done and if you are changing sender remember electricity off. Yes like for like. lol
Have a read and video here:- RT500RF - Wireless Programmable Room Thermostat - 868MHz (http://www.salus-tech.com/products/thermostat/rf-thermostat/_c1_34_wireless-programmable-room-thermostat-868mhz/)

Err could be the transmitter shutting down making receiver sleep, or if its 868mhz close to Panzer remote abd close ish to cellphone, before you spend your dutchmarks, put receiver next to transmitter, shit idea anyway.

Thanks gents, i have emailed the local salus representative and he replied back within 5 minutes.. he said he is going to send a new replacement out for free :o Strange.. but im not moaning..
When it arrives i will be tinkering with the sender/receiver to change the frequency so it dont mess with my wifi signal :D..
Thanks again people!

Don't have wife or girlfriend, EXCACT required spec does NOT exsit.
You go to buy a 32" tv, shop only got 12" portable, you leave it at shop.
Your looking for DK, there's an problem with DK, you can only see INFERIOR sites, you turn computer off.

WRONG in the 1900's it was "and they lived happily ever after"
modern world it's "and they lived happily for three years, then they divorced due to unrecanabke differances"

A moment of sanity
Salus RT500RF Thermostat not controlling boiler? - Plumbing Forum (http://www.ukplumbersforums.co.uk/central-heating-forum/13796-salus-rt500rf-thermostat-not-controlling-boiler.html)
"salus products are unreliable, used there rf stats nothing but problems only fit honeywell now"
they recommend changing for a Honeywell
Some thing about salus being an alternative spelling for Shit !!
Kalipo if this fixes your problem can you fix Meaty lack of Wifi or at least get him girl with bluetooth or any colour tooth to his ishit
