you must virginize new ecu, and program it with op-com or similar. you must need original pin code and pin code of new ecu (or load virgin dump to new ecu)

op-com and carprog,
can do this job.
you have to get the pincode of both ecu,you can read pincode with carprog,
and virgin the new one with op-com and program ecu.

If you succed to read pin code from used ecu with Carprog, i will explain you what to do.
Without Carprog or pin code from donor ecu, you can not do the job.
If you have in Tripoli Opel service pay to them pin code from VIN, and VIN of donor ecu you can see with OPCOM.

just original op-com
you have to get pincode for both ecu.
before you can reset the new ecu.

these are the steps-
you have to reset the new ecu with its pincode,
you click on program
next-reset ecu you enter the 4digit pincode of the new ecu
after that u click on the reset ecu again
you enter the 4digit pincode for the old ecu.
you go to the immobilizer
click on program
enter 4digit pincode
choose immobilizer output funtion
you are only replacing ecu
so you choose changing of engine control unit.
you are done.

Its not possible to reset new ecu on car the way you have described !
That is possible on that way when that (new) ecu is in their own car, in another car its not possible that way !
It is also possible, but not on that way!

it depends on the type of opel car.

newer opel cars you have reset some modules too.

Yes, and this way he can get pin code from car, but he also need pin code from donor ecu.
And after he get both of pins, if he not want to put new transponder, he also must have programmer to r/w immobilizer

I need to swap ECU of Corsa C 1.2 with M1.5.5
I have the car's pin code but not the new (used) ECU's.
I have original Carprog but do not see M1.5.5 in its options.
Any ideas how I can read the pin code from this type of ECU?
Thank You for Your time.
Best Regards

Thank You Credoline!
Unfortunately the Carprog manual for Opel ECUs does not include the pinout for M1.5.5 so i do not know how to connect.
Do You have the pinout for this ECU type?

That ECU should read from the K-Line ( via OBD plug)

This is not the car's original ECU i want to read. It is a used ECU i want to virginize so i adapt it on a Corsa C.
Will it read it via OBD just by plugging it on the car and switch ignition on?

No, Opel do not work like that.
On Codecard website you have pictures for connection on table, just search for it, its little confused on their pages, but it have.
If you not found i can upload it for you (but i do not support lazy people)

Well guys,
It is truth Credoline that the OPEL manual of Carprog has most ECUs that the hardware supports but not the M1.5.5 so i did not know how to do it on the bench.
It is also truth Deonti that Carprog does read via OBD using adaptor A1 both the original and the new (used) ECUs just by pluging them in. I do not know about other ECUs but the M1.5.5 show no pincode for either one but only 0000 in the pin field. It does show tho the correct VIN of both cars original and donor.
By reseting (Virginising) the new (used) ECU via Carprog I then managed to adapt it to the car via OP_COM by programming it using the original car's pincode.
No other adapting - programming of keys etc. is necessary. The car started right up.

Yes, adapting, not ignition on and start, like Fiat or Renault. M 1.5.5 is different type of ecu than others Opel ecus.

Now i read with carprog via OBD, work very good, read all dump and save. Now i install new (used) ecu to car , and i write back all dump from bad ecu. And i read all dump again and right chassi number and pincode all ok. But when i try start car, car cranking but not start and immo light flashing. I read codes under ecu and it tell p1615 and p1616. And read codes under immo and it tell 0 codes. What is problem? Maybe new ecu is bad....

You need to reset the dashboard, immo and body with your car pass code. only after pulling the pin code of the new ECU, ECU reset with opel com, and only then reprogram all 4 items
alfons37
13th March, 2015, 05:20 PM
Where can i find car pass, or can i order this on opel with chassi nummer? And must i reprogram dash, immo, body, ecu with new software, i dont understand:)
And i work before on opel and it work , i read and write back and always work , but not on this car..

sometimes happens, try to pin, resetting tool bcm and immo, then connect your new ECU resets the same with the pin of the new ECU, when you reset the car reprograms all with the original pin . for pin code you can ask in dealeship or read from immo box

Corsa c pull pin from dash for car then used ecu carprog for cars ecu, then reset ecu with ecus pin then go to immobiliser and immobiliser function put pin from car in engine ecu, or bring car to manchester and i do for you
also watch in measuring blocks for security wait time!!
