Hello what scanner are you using to scan these vehicles? U3000 is not a honda airbag dtc.

hmmm interesting, never seen a code like u3000 in a honda, but maybe using aftermarket scan tool reads this, well to the original poster that guy on ebay is on this forum "anastudio1", ask him about the internal code

you said you tried more then one module?
did you replace any other components like seat belts ?

I don't think its a component fault like bags or seat belts for him since the user on ebay repairs this module, its gotta be a bad driver in the module.
I know that some modules if the bag wires are short between each other like stage1 with stage2 then it will show internal, but here i don't think its the case

what i said is , i did this module before with no problem clear crash calibrat seat occupency then everything is ok .
but now i have this module with internal fault ,
i have another honda civic that i put this module inside and i got same error internal fault U3000 . so i am 100% its srs module problem and not car problem

ok i will share what i had and how we fixed it.
it was on 09 escape.
seat belt pretension & buckle up was deployed so i replaced it with good used one
crash data was erased but u3000 code is present! tried like 4to7 different cleared dumps then bought
one module from scrap yard then one of this forum user (repairmymodule ) sent me he's module with
same number but u3000 is present no matter what.
finally one of my friend and also good member of this forum told me to look for some kind of short
like airbags/ buckle's/ seat bests and sensors . so data stream didn't show any suspicious reading other
than front driver seat belt have 1 amp more than other 3.
so i simply disconnected front driver seat belt pretensioner and u3000 is gone! now other code appears for
front driver pretensioner, plug 2.4 om resistor and all good!!! no more code.

still want to suggest you to try to disconnect previously deployed ( changed) components as it not gonna take much time to do it.
just to make sure. also want to tell you that i reconnect my seat belt plug back to the seat belt
to see if u3000 comes back? but for my luck it didn't !!!! very weird because this seat belt was
causing this huge problem with

Sensadeg- If you were a little closer I'd have you mail me one of your bad civic modules and I could start probing.
But I bet now that I mentioned it, I'll get a Honda in tomorrow with one of these bad boys!

i fixed one. see pic.
2nd module with same u3000 same problem like on pic plus no voltage missing on biggest cap

Remove crash data, if car was wrecked and no airbags deployed car still register crash data, remove crash data and you will be fine.

the airbags were never deployed. took it out of a good car.

I had done 2013 honda odyssey , no code light was on, calibrated the seat and light went off, but I had u3000 on 2015 Honda fit and 2013 civic, does any one know if changing driver solves the problem?

OK was the airbags out of a car that was wrecked? I know this is a different car but today I did a 2008 Toyota Tacoma no airbags deployed but light still on and no codes, clear module and light went off. So going back to your car, if bags came from a wrecked car even though the bags didn't deployed the module will register crash data. Hope I'm making my self clear, good luck.

I forgot to mentioned reading your question again, if you got airbags out of a good car never wrecked then just recalibrate passenger seat and you should be ok.

Replacing EEPROM helped me on one occasion to get rid of U3000 49
Never tried to replace Infineon driver chip.
