Can someone immo off MS42 or tell me how to connect an ews emulator to a MS42 ecu?
Is it possible to read the sync code from the flash?

I have installed an ews emulator, but somehow it does not work yet. Have programmed the ISN, connected the emulator to the ews line, bridged ews connector starter motor connections and removed the jumper, but car still does not start. :-(

Programmed the ISN code to the emulator and connected it to the EWS line of the ecu, but the car still does not start. Any suggestions?

This type emulator work only with EWS2(and EWS3 in EWS2 mode) systems, MS42 use EWS3 system.
Thats this emu never will work with ms42.

supported emu is ~200$. EWS2 mode simply does not exist. Its better to wait until its published.

It's virgin file not immo off.
of course you need ews module.

The wiring harness is not complete so I will connect the ews to gnd, +12v and immo line to the ecu and give it a try

I have flashed the dump from bram380 and tried to sync with inpa but it keeps giving: no response from control unit. Any ideas what could be wrong? I can still diagnose the ecu and it gives ews manipulation error 209...

Error 209, zijn er problemen in de EWS en sleutel.
oplossing:
- Controleer ring antenne,
- Controleer de kabel op de antenne ring ieuws.
- Maak een nieuwe sleutel.

Somehow I am not able to communicate with the ews. Have tried another ews, directly connected the ews and k-line of the ecu and ews together, but no communication with the ews. Does anybody know if there is a setting in an ini file of INPA perhaps?

Your connection is correct.
But, to diagnostics EWS3 on bench (without cars) you need K-Bus signal generator.

To do swap with used of MS42, can I swap 29f400 flash or need to read and write cpu?

Reading and writing of full flash is much easier as unsoldering and resoldering but do whatever you prefer.

I ask because for some reason I can only read the old one and I try to put the new one in and I cannot rewrite.
Maybe because I'm using FVDI... I don't know.
So I could swap a 29f400 no problem, but Cpu...I don't wanna try

guys the isn is stored in flash but you need to swap togeder flash and eeprom and she will work !!!
