After installing the new version my vvdi software cannot find the device. I have tried to install the drivers manually but it didn't work.

I went back to version 1.1.2 and it finds the device again.

It does really work well. And covers the same types off immo as Avdi.
There are free updates, and no AMS, and free support.
I own a avdi and a vvdi2, and the vvdi2 has not let me down!

vvdi prog is a different device, it cannot be exchanged for vvdi2.
vvdi (first version) has now been replaced by vvdi2, and there was an exchange offer running for these devices.

Is it a good idea to trade BMW Multi tool for VVDI2? Which one works better?
I applied for an exchange but I saw some post saying that VVDi2 cannot get some job done.
Is there something that VVDI and Multi tool can do but VVDI cannot do?

Stay with the multitool.

Vvdi2 constantly causes me problems on cars with Cas2.
Every time I attempt to add a key via obd I get disable security error and the dme-cas fall out of sync.
I then have spend 20 mins messing around with fvdi to re synchronise it.
After all that, I still need to remove the cas and use the adapter to make a key.

I do not even bother trying via obd anymore.

Multitool never gave me these problems.

Some of those ECU can not be done by OBD, only way to do it is to read /write eeprom direct.

As said some versions od edc16u1 are not posoble to change over OBD, not any tool can make it. I encountered them several times.. usualy they appear on the first generations od edc16u1... you have to open the ecu and do it manually

trying to learn key ordered from dealer.
couldn't read by obd2 after unpluging the 2 connectors on bcm2.
also tried reading bcm2 module by bdm, connected as per diagram and removed 0 ohm resistor from back, but bdm reading failed.

Yes tested by bdm 6 wire and not read, does not detect anything, I took the resistance 0 ohm. I do not know what the chip but the car was 06/2008. Is there a bug in VVDI, made a a4 2010 with the previous version without a valid key and gave this same with key did not.

Hi guys,i have purchased the VVDI2 and already have AVDI (original) just for the vag group.

I have one audi a3 2007 CAN sytem, and i'm trying to add one new key to the car, the system is almost equal to the AVDI, but change some things..
One of them is.. the VVDI2 let me make a dealer key, but i'm kinda lost in the options the machine gave to me.
as you guys can see in the picture above, I have 2 options, but in no one of then, when i create the dealerkey dont change for the key position i want.

Samic, MB SLK 200 (2001) old flip key. Under All Mercedes Key showing 2 keys used, generate transponder (pcf7935) with ID44 - car not start - line km showing error.

When choose ML series this mask (0G48V) declared, showing all 8 keys used. When hit Make dealer key SW crashes.

This is a bug or this type not supported? Dump enclosed.

If it's in the cluster the eprom is behind speed dial and you can sometimes unsolder it without removing the front dials, if it's not there might be a different cluster

In all VW B5 board, No need CS bytes. If you get PIN, you can rewrite key by any diagnostics tools. I can due this by Launch if Pin is OK.

No need to write B5 CS to key, manufactured in 2005. Pin was obtained from ECU, confirmed via DASH, then confirmed with X100pro. Lockout was not showing any value but could it be still a lokcked out or need to wait with ON for sertain time to communicate? thanks

about 2009 porshe cayman only can get CS for unencrypted type.(encrypted cannot support,such as ECU eeprom for 95640 encrypted type)

Im sorry for the sequence posts.. but did you guys tried to open the new interface for PSA when you have 3 days to syncronize over the internet?
Because here when i tried to open the new interface and i have 3 days left, the software crashed.. What i'm done? Run other software from VVDI2 to sincronize over the internet and after tried to open the PSA interface and works perfectly.

Will it damage my VVDI2 in any way?
I did some research that some of the older model with after market radio can cause interference on Kline with +12v. and sometimes can burn scan tools.
I also found out that VCDS has built-in protection for this kind of +12v sort on Kline issue. Is there a protection mechanism on VVDI2?

Kline no longer will not walk as in 2009. These trying to program the key in the same cluster menu?

I successfully made a dealer key and added it to a Jetta 2013.
Please advice me where to buy the correct id48 transponder to make the dealer key.
Many of the ID48 transponders I have failed to be come dealer transponder even though vvdi2 says it's made successfully.
I had to try many different batch of id48 I had to get one to work.

I have never had a bad transponder.
All the transponders i have come from different China sellers.You can unlock and reuse the id48 transponders, that you made with VVDI2.
Go over the working method. A dealer key, still needs to be programmend!!

It was 2006 b6 simos PPD 1.1/.1.5 . Cycle the ignition a few times then all was good it done it the day before could not find 7th byte from working key after a few attempts it worked fine. Not sure if it was because I had the spare key near the first time not sure.

I think long time about some solution how-to cover the VVDI unit, when using it on the car before some damage or the PIN's shorting :)
I find one not expensive...i think very cheap...case factored for GoPro cam, but the measurement inside are almost the same as VVDI unit have, little work with knife to make holes for all cable on sides and finish ;)

Year of production is a good indicator, and SW and HW versions are know by some. Maybe someone can list these!

The file size is wrong, 0L15y eeprom file 4KB. And if it is + then you will need the ecu dump asswel.

The frequency tester is not working on my vvdi2.
When i push the button, it does not five me a readout.
I only tried a few 434 mhz Vag keys sofar.

Only the tp id tester works fine.

Does this have to do with the latest software, or is my vvdi2 not working correct.

please try following steps,after that then try again.
1.VVDI2 connect to PC,press and hold 'F'button(frequency)
2.FSK calibration with 315 MHZ frequency keys,recommend key number:8T0xx754C or 8T0xx754J
3.After FSK calibration ok,will auto show you ASK calibration,with VW 434.42MHZ for ASK calibration,recommend key number:1K0959753N

Was this an all keys lost situation? I had once problem with immo2 in Opel and the immobiliser box was faulty.

2.about active issue better check with your seller.

Frequency tester not working in my VVDI2 after last updates.

please do following steps,then try again
1.VVDI2 connect to PC,press and hold 'F'button(frequency)
2.FSK calibration with 315 MHZ frequency keys,recommend key number:8T0xx754C or 8T0xx754J
3.After FSK calibration ok,will auto show you ASK calibration,with VW 434.42MHZ for ASK calibration,recommend key number:1K0959753N
