I did not see the car, but customers told me that they removed the battery, and then the unit does not work (assume that asks code) ...
the car is not for me not to check 100%...

These radios dont have a pin code lads, they are electronically married to the car. From time to time they lose the link to the car when the battery is disconnected or bcm reboot and this makes them lock (Audi component protection active).

Usually the only way to re-activate these is through an Audi dealer or somebody who has access to the GEKO database through VAS.

Because it is the original radio and not a secondhand one, it may be worth trying to re-activate it with VCDS (if you have it). VCDS will pull all of the vehicle/audio config details out, but I am not sure if it will let you re-activate it in original car.

I know VCDS definitely does not work on replacement radios, but maybe if radio is original to the car..........

@ Ilen - Please ask your customer if the radio work fine with the dashboard display but just no sound from speakers?

Yes you're correct, AUZ5Z4A has code but AUZ5Z4G doesn't... well spotted :)
