Then for the 2009 cracked software, someone commented about it not working for vehicles which require CAN. It was recommended to run the CAN Upgrade in the crack software. One of my friend tried this cracked sw in an old tool and he said that always it asking for super 16 connector ( which he hasn't).
So I don't know for what kind of tool it is. You said that it dosen't works on Master/GX3 and my friend said that it dosen't work in old tool. I littel bit confuse now.

I did not read and understand clearly before that the cracked versions of the software posted in this thread only works for the older X431. It works for the older X431 that has external Super 16 adapter. The new X431 master and GX3 have the Super 16 and CAN adapter built into the main box. You only need a single 16pin adapter for OBDII and CAN. And when you run a vehicle diagnostic on the older X431 models it goes through 3 steps:
Resetting Smart box
Checking Smart box
Downloading Progra
On the newer X431's it does not have this "downloading program" step, it just checks and resets the smartbox then starts the main diagnostic menu for the vehicle. Hence it starts up a little faster.

I installed the 2010 version of the cracked software on my GX3. Then I did a few tests. It successfully checks and resets the smartbox but always gets a "failure" on the "downloading program" step. This is because my GX3 has the Super16 and CAN built in and is designed differently than the older X431's. It does not need to go thru that step. But the cracked version of the software is intended for the older machines that needs to do the "download program" step.

I gave it a go because I saw a post where one DK member says it worked on their GX3. It must have been the earlier GX3 models where the CAN and Super16 were not yet integrated inside the main unit/box.



Bottomline, it does not work for the new X431 Master and GX3 with built in Super16 and CAN adapter.

Register on x431.com . Download software. BUT! when I installed programms - it not work! scanner wrote - different ## programmes and smartbox. I checked # smartbox on the site, on the scanner - it same!
Any ideas? Why programmes not work???

I think they banned you.
The Launch don't let you download the softwears if the tool was sell in China.
So I suppose that you had a backup of your CF card becasue you'll don't be abled to use the softwears from lauch web site.
Maybe someone from china if use your Id and passoword will can do this for you.
Just Launch tools selled from Russian branch can dowload directlly from their web site.
I can said that you have now a"genuine clone" It is not a best word but I thinkl you understand what I wanted to say.

first - had format CF. download new software through proxy switcher (used china proxy server).
After that all work fine.

If was read this thread you've seen that I told you that.
Even you have a genuine x431 tool and you are registred on their factory web site you cannot download uploads.
Why,? The answear is simple because the tool was sold to a Chinese company.
Just if you are in China you can download from thei web site.
You are in a diffrent area.
If you are in europe and you buy a x431 tool from Launch Europe branch you can do it, if you not you can't.
Maybe if you use a Chinese proxy server you'll can but I can't do that even aglinsky shared a sw about this. i will try later to see if it works.

There are 2 flash on the main board of X431,U17 and U18.
You need to reflash that to have english language.
I have dumps for that,pm if you need.
Somtime when X431 have problems with boot(when device come up on lcd)this is a solution to repair.

Hi,
The best solution is to change the chips U17/18...Reflashed in English.

But you need to check your serial number again...I assume that supplier just sent the machine without putting the software(English) in the card...Even you change the Chips the machine will still won't work...You need to have a set of English software too to match the serial number

I updated a X431 Tool and now the SmartBox downloding fails, the Resetting and Checking passed, just get a download error for any vehicle selected.
I did make a backup of the original SD card and now that is doing the same thing.

Sort of need to fix this as it is a friend of mines :)

Well thanks again, I did a format on it and then reloaded the origianal files, let me try again, maybe I did something else wrong. Glad to know the crack can not damage the SmartBox, just FUBARed it temporarly.

Are there any otherthings I should look for or try to do to update or reset the smartbox?

First contact your seller or go on x431.com

If you have a clone X431 find a craked software for your scanner.

What BMW model you have test it?
On E36 i have this problems too.
Check your printer paper if its corectly loaded.

I've had a similar problem on a BMW X5. When I connect thru the OBDII socket, I can only access DME and engine related stuff. It fails to connect to the Airbag, ABS, EHC, EGS etc. This car also had a BMW 20 pin socket. Short answer is yes but in fact it could be harder , if hardware version is not same , chip is different , some are W78LE58 some are W78L058 , content is same but chip configuration is else , also sometime chip have lock bit enable so you cant read it

i have three different versions of cracked software from this forum. looking through the versions on each of them it seems that they all have newer versions of different cars to the next one. none of them is the most recent throughout all the car models. does anyone know if i can take all the most recent versions and create a custom update? help much appreciated..

Yes, you can. Anyway, it's useful to have different versions because sometimes newer versions have bugs that older ones do not have.

hi can anyone help,i got a x431 in 2006 of ebay,seller said he was a launch dealer in ireland.i downloaded all the updates from the launch website for a year,then in 2009 paid some polish guy ?180 for one of updates,gave him my serial number and log in to launch site he then posted me all updates.now i need to update again can i install the cracked updates or do i need to get software to match my serial number

so I changed my serial number few times and it work with cracked software without problems but when I download updates from x431 web site and try to run with changed sn there is a message of different serials in box and software and W77L058A25PL can not be erased after that!!!

the display version is shown when you switch on your device.
I f you copy the data folder completly and this contains a newer version your machine will run with this as long as you use this cf card.

Ask your supplier to register for you and he/she may help you to download the software from LAUNCH web site.

But this is also a risk,if LAUNCH finds the IP country is not the serial number covered machine shall sell to,your serial number will be locked and you can do nothing any more.

Mean time,I believe no one at this forum could help you,please don't open your serial number on public.It's no good.Just ask our supplier to help,they shall do this help.

Hi all, does anyone know if X431 should be able to diagnose ABS fault codes on a 1994 LT van, 2.5 diesel? I tried a few software versions with no luck It has the 14 pin round socket inside the cab on passenger side, it talks to engine system and immobiliser ok, but no luck with Bosch ABS system which I think is 5.3, fuses were ok.

Looks like it's a super scanner or a GX3 s/n.
It's all depend where you are.
I got 2 master on-line update.
If you buy a Master smartbox & change the s/n(changeable)
I will be able to accept share from you for the update cost.
A couple of my friends bought the authorised Master &
needed me to do all the update for them.
Just Imagine! the authorised Master cost just about usd2000.00
in my area after discount & mail-in rebate(usd600.00 until June1)
& the one from China cost $1500.00.
After they did the maths & prudently decided to bought it locally which I though they both make the right choice.

M8 your serial it is not covered by that web site.
You need upgrades for your S/N otherwise it will never work.

When you try to find updates you must ask your supplier first.
If he is a cheeter then you haven't anythingelse to do that you find a supplier that he can supplie to you the upgrades.
If you didn't find one I can help ypu to find one.

Stop sharing your S/N becasue Launch companies will banned your S/N's

By the way the best way to upgrade is to contact your supplier for updates.
Or if he couldn't provide you this, there always another way.

Do you think that are many guys who bought from your supplier to have same S/N andmuch more of this in German?
Forget about and erase your S/N from the forum, just because it will be seen by the Launch guys and in the futhure neighter you supplier will cannot give updates for your S/N.
Ask your supplier and if he cannot give it to you then contact me and I will tell what you have to do to update your tool.

Has anyone else had the problem when you switch your x431 on that the GAG option to get you into the diagnostic screen does not appear?Sometimes I have to power it off then on a few times and then it appears, or sometimes it might work first time, tried other CF cards but no difference.

Try another softwear version of VOLVO
Sometimes Launch softwears versions got bugs
Or as your supplier to give you another version.
I had few problems like you but my supplier fi very quiclly this kind of issues.

i have version 41.0. This is the only version i have. my supplier has not given me any updates at all.

As usually he will never give you.
There's a cracked version for GX3 and maybe the softwera for Volvo will works but from what I know the cracked version is from 2010
Try this.
Other solution is to flash your smartbox with other serial from someone who can give you futhure updates.

My friend do not share your interface just use my advise because the S/N will be banned by the Launch company and you cannot have the futhure update.
By the you can find a crack for Master and GX3 from 2010 otherwise you have to buy update but better is to find someone who can flash your smartbox with a serial that he can give you updates.

Most of the time I switch on my X431 I get "compatible card not found" and I can not get into the GAG option to let me use the machine. If I use the original launch card it seems to work ok, but this is a new problem as I have been using the software from here with different cards for a year or two now, anyone recommend any thing to try or types of CF cards NOT to use please?

I bought a new genuine Sandisk 2 gb card and the GAG folder appears every time now, beware of non genuine cards!!!
