Your AutoProPAD includes a free year of unlimited use. When your subscription ends, your unit will be downgraded to a standard XTool diagnostic device. It will continue to be very useful for OBD2 diagnostics like an auto shop would need and it will still do some basic immobilizer programming. But an AutoProPAD with no active subscription will not be able to perform any of the new immobilizer programming that was developed by XTool after they began work in the US in November of 2016. Also, please note that on-the-vehicle technical support is only available to users with an active subscription.

Had a chat with AKS and two people that work there believe it's worded wrong on the site. That it's suppose to stop updates and support...NOT cripple the unit. Said he would talk directly with Cary and get a straight answer. Will call me he says.

I also asked when will the year start for early "beta" adopters. He said he would bring that up also.

The subscription thing will start around December. Hmm..Should of asked if this coming December or past..

The way the subscription will work....If you do not pay the renewal fee....The tablet will revert back to the basic PS80 settings. So you will lose all the features, Ray, Erick and AKS are working on.
Example....You will still have "Ford immo" but NOT "Ford USA immo". So you will still be able to do a ford key but without the added tweaks..Bypass, parameter resets, etc...

GM is still horrible. I have a $120 programmer that can do much better.
Mazda is Ok IF you have time to keep checking all regions and figure out what will work.
Ford still buggy....
Lexus/toyota is hands down the best they have going...but like I said I can buy a $30 cable and do the same(without the 16 minute bypass of course)

I told Erick to give Ray my number to help out with testing and menu optimizations. Got no reply.
Tech support from Ray outside this forum doesn't exist...Which I don't expect as he's got his own business to run. Erick tech support is pretty much relaying messages to xtool when something fails. Im wondering if AKS will actually hire people who know to assist.

Immo ecu replaced. I tried PS80 and it went through the procedure. At the end tablet tells me procedure failed. Surprisingly immo light went away and vehicle started right up.

Out of these 35 pages of issues, bugs, missed deadlines and unanswered questions, what would motivate you to buy this tool?

I fully understand that this is in Beta. It's still a good option. Let's do some math..
TCode- 10K to start and 3-4K a year in updates. Crap customer support.
Zedfull- 6600 with the most common accesdories. 2200 yr update. Crap customer support.
AutoPro Pad- 2200 buy in and around 1K yr in updates. Support to be determined. AKS may not understand how email works, but they do answer the phone.
Also, it will be fun to play with while it all gets sorted out. This isn't my only machine. It is however my best chance to break free of the grip that Ilco/AD have on my balls and my wallet.

Cheap tool fails...you use smartbox as backup and pay $10 per car....

Paying $2200 for PS80...minus smart box. Save $900. Thats already 90 cars you can do(if cheap tool fails)
Save $1k a year...Thats 100 cars you can do with SB.

I bet you won't have to do 100 cars a year as those cheap tools cover about 70% of vehicles out there.

Maybe I'm wrong, but most of the cheap tools are based on stolen tech. I think the SKP900 is an exception. I'm happy to save money but I'm not willing to steal it. The SBB is a stolen TKO isn't it? I was under the impression the others were too. If everyone would chime in and let me know what tools aren't stolen tech, I would be happy to try them. I'm not familiar with the Smartbox. I'll look into it. Thanks for the heads-up.

I forgot about the Hotwire. That's an expensive machine with some pretty severe limitations. Even though customer support there is rarely able to help you, they always answer the phone and have a great attitude as they give you the bad news :)

Parts of the AutoPadPro software is lifted from another tool by sniffing and analyzing the data between the car and the original tool in question. If you believe that all of this software comes from just R&D and is in no way consigned from another tool, you are mistaken. The AutoProPad is not a copy paste clone, but it is derived from another tool so you could say it is stolen tech.

BTW I give zero f*cks if its "stolen tech" or not. I only mentioned its origin because TrophyHusband said he bought the APP because he believed it was original software, but after hearing the truth now he doesn't mind, because apparently petty theft doesn't move the moral compass as much as grand theft.

I'm not buying the APP because I don't need another tool with overlapping coverage. There are lots of tools out there that have no subscription costs and do the same thing.

Got an Obdstar x300 dp to try it out. WOW!!! What a piece of crap!! Its an x100 pro with added G reset and HORRIBLE limited diagnostic program. PS80 is years ahead!!

If you are planning to do diagnostics...stick with PS80 and wait for them to get their act together on the key programming side. I have done diagnostics on Toyota and GM and it works great.

Makes a lot of sense, but do you do Eeprom? Most of the high tech locksmiths ive talked to seem to use zedfull. I guess its because they use it to eeprom and make keys with a tango cloner. Im still trying to figure out best way out from AD with also learning more technical ways

We are using the smart box now to test, Kia & Hyundai coverage looks to be weak. I see very little pin read more remote function then anything. Mike Hyde is now on board with xtool more support will be added. The support team will be locksmith with knowledge in programming. We can only help you if you help yourself & have tools to diagnose. If we ask you to read the chip in the key, give us the pages. If we ask to check the Ariel have a Ariel tester in hand. We had a custom complain about ford he try 10 keys 40bit all fail to program. Problem was the chip in key, he did not want to believe it.

Speaking of Ford, how is the APP on the 80 bit? Is it working and confirmed? I've recently turned down a Transit and a Focus because I don't have a tool to do them yet. When I see that Ford and GM are solid, I'm probably in on the APP.

Im sure you are talking about old pin read for the very rare hyundai/kia with chip keys. I can just use cheap tool for that but why even waste my time. When I order key code for $2 bucks it comes with pin. If SB claims to do it, you can feel comfortable showing up to job and making money. PS80 claims to do so much and you need to cross your fingers and hope it works. SB has way more "working" coverage on kia/Hyundai prox than PS80.

I was asking about the support as many people buying machine are starting in the automotive locksmith industry. So I assume that if they are paying $1k a year someone will be there to give them a hand.

I don't work for smart box or xtool. When SB came out, it was a horrible tool. Nothing but problems. I complaint so much and reported all the negative stuff that I was banned from their facebook group. lol!!
Xtool I'm sure will eventually have a great tool. The biggest problem they had was that AKS promoted of bunch of stuff (with dates) and not even be able to do half of it. If AKS was smart they should of sold tablet at a lower cost for "beta" testers. Once tool was ready to be sold...they could of jacked up the price and sold a machine that actually works.

I agree. If they keep at it and get there ducks in a row, the APP has great potential. I almost bought a PS80L, but decided to hold off. Glad I did, because there have been so many changes and compromises from what I was originally told this product will be. I, also, do not understand the pricing and methods of AKS. It makes me very uneasy to see the lack of stability. I love getting in on the ground floor and helping a product grow, this one has the caution flag up for me.

Talked to someone else about the Transits today and I've been piecing this together. The Transits that you worked on - did the keys not have a chip, or did the vehicles not have an immobilizer? I only checked the key, and it had a chip. I assumed that the vehicle had an immobilizer, but didn't check that. I'm thinking I need to run back over there tomorrow and check it out.

Have always added prox to the 2012 edge system and never had issues. Never needed to erase. Have walked several people through procedure and they were all doing one wrong thing that threw them off. Lol

Just completed Kia/Hyundai proxy system (46 chip & H chip proxy). Also to add if your in the wrong protocol and have the right pincode the unit will say wrong pin. I'm going to try to change it by going to a second or third protocol.

Kia/Hyundai is now working good, still working on pin read 46 & H
pin read for GM is being work on there is 4 pin code location very large dump. One of the 4 is alway correct, the other 3 could be use for different model or engine. So we have 2 matching ecu but with different fuel options. Just running test on the correct locations.

Don't waste your money now. Unit will probably be decent in about a year at it's current pace.

Renegade with flip key is witech, unless the new smart pro can do it. It can do 17 pacificas so far and before that it was only witech that could do it.

Sometimes i get vehicles that just wont add the remote fob with the programmer or on board process. What you can do is go under diagnostics menu, look for an option that says wireless registration and itll work that way everytime, atleast in my experience

Never had issues with 27.02 and older. Same type of vehicles...07+ Camry, 07+ Tundra.

The last two vehicles that failed I connected my cheap xtool programmer and it worked fine. So Im sure a bug with 27.03

Newest update fix's the file sharing issue for all Xtooltech tablet. That bring the unit to china standard first. The next updates will fix all the USA version to it current programming feature. The next update will be out soon it should also come with the graphic.

You must have a bad cable. We have tested that car many time even upload YouTube videos. Also why you keep spend on smartbox your ck200 could have done it? We could send you a new cable. Look at the pins on the obd2 connector,you could have bent a pin.

Forgot to take cheap tools. Lol. I would not pay SB a dime unless everything fails.
No bent pins. Everything worked fine, recognized security, connected to computer.
Hit key and then all keys lost... Then warning popped up saying unusual immobilizer.

I have seen this error before with obd star products before. Usually just hook up skp and it does it fine.

I had the "unusual immobilizer" error on a Honda Odyssey before. I called ray-ray and tried to drive him crazy asking about that problem. I troubleshooted that for 2 hours. I got a blank 46 chip (brand new one) and replaced the one on the remote head key and it went through.

Back to PS80L, I had 2 different 2008 Focuses (Focii?!) that failed 3 times each with all keys lost, the I tried add keys one at a time and got success. Old keys were erased also, so even though all keys lost failed to program it erased old ones. What is a little unnerving is that while keys were adding, all cluster lights went out completely, then came back on when two keys had been added.

For those who don't know your pin code is in Eeprom (L46R or LR46, 93LC46 x16) on the first line first set of number is your pin code. (Straight forward, "No Swapping").

There is alway someone that just can’t get things Wright. I had one today,12yrs smithing doing 2013 Hyundai Genesis Proxy new from dealer. 2hrs. On the car with correct pin code. Finally decided to call, program in 1min. ISSUE>> (He never put the proxy in the center consel pocket)
Tool is making it at $2,800.00 just everybody buy off eBay thinking it going to do the same as AutoProPad. Some people just don’t have any cents, looking to save a buck. Last thing added & is working is Kia/Hyundai pin read. There is 2 system of pin read 46chip which is miss label as 47 system. The other system is just add a key. Take Proxy that starts the car use vvdi key tool and read page 1 & 2 input those 12 digit to the tablet your pin code will then be displayed.

anyways I’ll will be bring new innovative to the market in June of next year.

Did a 2004 Toyota Prado all key lost, problem was that didn't seem to work, immo light was still blinking after reset and car did not start, but after reset with pad pro2 with no success, other toyota works fine, I did it with tango and emulate key on cn2, now I have the problem that ignition solenoid is active and immo light blinking, bypass ignition solenoid, car is starting, found out when i did with tango is a two key storage, both matched with tango. How can I correct the solenoid and immo light problem? as I don't know if xtool reset works on dual storage or change the file somehow.

Tcode resets them fine. Also those $5 dollar Chinese cables running bootleg TIS can reset them. I'm sure it will get added once some other Chinese company adds and xtool can "acquire" lol

Sorry...I meant to say T300... It has never looped on me. Chinese cable with TIS and seed calculator has always worked perfect. You have to be aware that several manufacturers made T300. When APP came out and failed on older fords....T300 took care of them with zero issues. Wish I could get a Mexican T300. Those things are amazing!!

Toyota type1 complete had to datalog from CK100. We are going to increase the Kia/Hyundai pin read, just found more location. The unlocking is getting much better soon I will be releasing that. Expect a big release next month ready to show at Texas trade show. The project keeps moving forward. Ford Mustang GT with a bigger chrome proxy can not seem to get that going with any of my programmer. Has anyone been able to do it?

Nothing can pull those 15+ (GRAND cherokee, Durango, 300, charger, challenger), you can pull cherokee no problem

Your tool is for the world market? It can be used anywhere. I am not sure if the L indicates it is for the US market?
Between 80 and 90 there is a different CPU and some more memory.
But you will get all updates, from Xtooltech. And it will do the job just as fine, as the 90 model.
Maybe some seconds slower. But this would probably not be noticed in the long run.
The Autopro pad has focused only on the American market. Removing other vehicles in the menu. And adding some extra features. And hardware.

I think your tool is just fine. And I would be happy with it. And would never traded in for so small extra benefits.
This is like mobile phones. It will always come a new model which is faster and have more features for the same price.

PS80/90 and the AutoProPad/Lite All Unit have the same functionality. The king would be the PS90 because of the hardware and its ports. The facelift was done to stop all the calls. Customer keep asking why the price difference between PS80/90 from china and ours. We had people buying from Xtooltech direct and wanting the tool to be upgraded to the USA version. We had people swapping out the hardware and returning units that was bought out of china. It’s going on it’s second year and no upgrade fees have been collected as of yet. We are still moving forward and a upgrade fee will soon be in play. I have tryied my best to make the tool better, sales and marketing is not place.

I've had car dealerships turn my business down because My Xtool ps80L key programmer Looks very similar to the cheap China ps80 tool, and the car dealerships Dont want those cheap China tools plugged in to there cars. This is one of the main reason why I really wanted to exchange this one for the ALL BLACK one..
I'm not trying to get something for nothing, I don't mind paying the difference, but for me to get told that the price difference would be $2,100 for the trade in is just WRONG!!

I'm not a rocket scientist over here but the price difference from the one I purchased for $2,200 to the ALL BLACK one for $2,350 is a $150 difference.

Have several contracts with dealers and not once has anyone been at the car looking to see what machine I use. I also give tech support for several locksmiths all over the US and this is a first I hear of someone looking to see what machine you connect to their car...

There are 3 firmware 1.PS90>>2.PS80>>3.autopropad all three have the same coverage. The lite came out in February to have a lower cost tablet. That tablet comes with less coverage, no camera, no kc100. I have tried to convince AKS to have upgrade trade in for the PS90 & PS80. It makes more sense to have 1 firmware on both units (AutoProPad & Lite) making it faster to test all new updates. Keep using your tablet, I will mention your concerns to AKS.

The machines have different hardware, software, and firmware. I wish it were just the red plastic corner. Some, not all, of the updates were released for the AutoProPad first giving the APP owners the advantage of being able to do more cars first. The PS80/90 owners needed to wait longer because the same update needed modifications done so it could run on the PS80/90's different hardware and firmware. Recently the [BMW] [CAS 1-3] came first to the APP and weeks later appeared on the PS80/90 as an update. Before that we had problems with certain updates that were compiled for the APP and not adapted to the PS80/90 and Erik had to email a separate installer to update the PS80/90.

Cary from American Key Supply said he did not care about this as long as the difference between one machine's update and the other did not exceed a couple of weeks. He also said that the only difference between the PS80 and the APP was going to be the charging stand, but we now know that he lied about that. That is why I purchased the PS80 because I didn't even care about the stand and I got caught in the hardware, software, firmware problems myself as I am a PS80 owner.

ray-ray told me that everyone that got the PS80 from American Key Supply would be getting a free upgrade to the APP when it came out. Cary specifically told me that would not happen. Regardless, it is a great machine to have, saves a lot of AD tokens, I'm happy with it and super happy with ray-ray's support and Eriks iMessage support. Periodically when something doesn't work I can log it, send it to Erik and hopefully get it fixed.

I said never had a DEALER looking at what machine I was using. Plenty of retail customers always over my shoulder. Im not saying your statement is false....I just personally think it's total BS. Could not pull pin on Buick Encore, manufacture date June of 2015, Korea vin number, so I just started going through menu on Gm trying to pull pin. The pin popped up under Chevy Volt under GM Usa, so I tried to add a key with it. Machine seemed to think it was right pin, went through ten minute wait with some open and close doors, key on off, hoops and at the end it said program success, but the immo padlock still on, no go. Key was standard 46E flippy remote, right out of strattec bag. Any help would be appreciated, was kind of blindsided by Korean Vin, I thought they were USA or Canada....

2010-2013 Transit seems to be sorted out, I did one yesterday in about 5 minutes. Gmc and Chevy 2015-2017, has been a real problem, is there any way you can light a fire under the engineers and get them working on pin pull and program for some vehicles like the Buick Encore above, and the 2017 Silverado, which has turned into a Real Pain for me. One lot buying several from auction with one key and I can just offer on board, which can be somewhat questionable with newer GM. Remote programming seems to be way ahead of key programming with GM.

ive done tons of cars from 15 -16 no problems with them with obp if they have one key........ or even if they have no key

all keys lost is only a problem on 2017

even with 2016 you can do 10min x 3 obp

someone told me they did a 2017 with 3x 10 min didnt say model tho or maybe he was mistaken

Time is one problem, but it would also be nice to have machine to program key if 3x10 failure leaves you swinging in the wind. I have had 2 3x10 failures on Gm both left original in, but I really don't want to get caught having to tow vehicle to dealer. Maybe I'm just paranoid or stupid or both. I like to have options....

What you need to consider is the Autopropad if you are doing North American cars,it is the next generation past ps80 ps90. If you are doing more auto diagnosis, then other pads may be cheaper and more useful, but if you are heading in the key programming area, autopropad is best for the money in North American Market.

Has anyone done a Enter-n-Go on a Dodge? Had a 2011 Durango that I realized was a Enter-n-Go. FOBIK programmed in no problem like always, but when I went to the menu to add the prox side the PS80 just responded with Communication Failed. Called tech while still at the car and was just told that isn't fully working yet. Acted like it never went into the program mode. Anyone had any success on these? I double checked that the FOBIK was a prox version and this was a spare key so I know the prox was working on the vehicle. First time I've ever had one of these to do. PS80 usually knock Dodge out as fast as I can plug em in.

Latest Mitsubishi update trash. Tried 09 galant... Shows pins and then goes back to beginning... No way of programming. Had todo with obd star x100 which I haven't updated in years.

Nothing was working under Chinese or US menu. Who knows if latest update fixed the problem.
Jag and LR software doesn't have system to verify if kvm was updated. Good luck ruining a car with this unit...

I don't see how they would implement this. The coding would be very difficult to do this. Unless a separate basic version is running in the tablet and it switches to it. I believe the route they will take is to remove your unit serial number from the update servers. So your unit will still run 100% but up to the latest update you got before subscription ended.

You program fobik as usual... Once you verified remote works and vehicle starts. Remove key and put in again in the on position. Go to program fobik keyless go. Last button on main menu. It should sync prox to car. Done.

Make sure you have an unlock fobik prox.

Some time the hand shake between the ecu and AutoProPad is slightly faster timing. So it programs the key but menu say fail. We could slow down the process and that will cure the menu.
