- if car is made between 1990 and to 2000 use interface VAG KKL under USB.
- software is :
- UnidiagKWP2000, have some broken DEF file , but is working, time to time
- KWP71 for ABS AirBag, excellent software, very good !!!!
- end at last alfadiag with alfadiag-loader, use only version to 3.3.0.11 ( don't use last version, 3.3.1.0 , need activation via the license manager).

Did you installed 3.3.1.0 version and it didn't work?
I installed it over 3.3.0.11 and it didn't ask me for activation or something else but I didn't tried on my car yet.
(It's demo version from alfadiag.net. or it's another one?)

I would need some help: can somebody suggest an ECU remapping software?
I have an Alfa 156 2.4 JTD and would like to change my ecu parameters (turbo pressure, fuel ratio, etc.) for some new chip tuning.
Also, if somebody has got a tuned ECU version of it, that would be great!

It works with a laptop and a KKL interface (serial or USB)
it works best with the tech 2 non can interface for opel...
also there are a lot of defenitions files 4 the software
depending on that you can see fault codes or not.
so always chooose the right defenition file.....

It use a definition to conect to the ecu.
Every diagnostic sw has, but item are in different forms inside the sw.
If u have any problem to choose them u can rename them to much easy to use.
You must choose right definition, otherway it show up errors.

All sw works with your car.
Unidiag, KWP71, AlfaDiag and for ABS FiatEcuScan too.
ABS, AIRBAG,ECU nut first of all u must change the ecu's pin.
ABS - 1
AIRBAG - 3
ECU - 7
Com must be 256 - 256 - 1
Good Luck

If you talking about alfadiag, you can see that in alfadiag.net, but I don't think so.
Unidiag defenly dosen't cover your ecu.
FiatEcuScan cover just ABS and AIRBAG
The only softwears (tool) for your car are FiatDiag and FiatExaminer

I'm curios if KWP71 works with that ECU?
Yes, KWP71 Diagnostic should work because this car use Bosch M2.10.4 ECU. That ECU communicate over KWP71 protocol...
did you tried it on the old cars?
And can you tell me what ECU does it coverage?
I tried KWP71 Diagnostic on few cars, but results are OK, but possibilities are really bad. You can read codes, but no description, only few parameters available etc...

All protocols should be KW71, but you can allways try Auto or KW81...
Infocenter Borg - 0x07
Automatic Clutch VALEO - 0x92
Antitheft TEXTON - 0x00 <- Wrong? Or uses 3 Pin cable and KW81
Electronic Key Code 2 - 0x8C
Other pinout for OBD-II Conector:
8 - Immo
9 - Clima
11 - Alarm

I've broke Examiner 8 database. Look what I've found. List of 670> modules which where used in Fiat cars... For now, I've broke 3/30 files. I must admit, nice infos are inside...

Hi!
I've an Alfa 156 Selespeed(from 1999). I can't switch my car to reverse gear. Can this problem diagnosed by unidiag or alfadiag?
Thanks for your reply

Would any of the fiat tools be able to read the ECU, Bosch M2.7, from a Mk1 Punto GT from 1996.
This car uses a 3 pin diagnostic socket on both the engine ECU and the ABS I would like to try some of this software but could do with a little help on how to connect to the 3 pin socket.
I do know that the engine ECU can be induced to perform a "blink" test, (faults appear as flashing sequence with fault lamp on dashboard) if 1 of the wires in the plug are grounded.
I assume that the three wires in the plug are K,L and ground but I am not sure and do not know which wires are which.
Any help would be appreciated.

I will try to help you but I didn't test it on a car like yours.
I told you just what ipejasinovic replayed to me in a post before.
If you use KWP71 you can connect to your car's ECU.
Take a look on the list of Ecus posted by ipejasinovic.
How to do wiring betaween your 3 pins cable and a 16 pins KKL interface I will post a picture which help you to do that.
Note: on ebay you'll find some chineese guys who can sell you this kind of cable. I did it by my self from them and it was just fine. i mean it tooked too long 30 days but the price was a cheap one, arround 10$.
Good luck

I just bought an 145 and i'm trying to find out what's the best software to use for diagnostic in this model. Any help?
I do have knowledge of electronics so the cable shouldn't be a problem :smokin:

What kind of engine do you have, boxer or twin sparks?
Or maybe do you know the code of the engine?
Uniscan will be good for you but you need two serial com port, not virtual ones.

My personal opinion, I would go for alfadiag.
alfadiag doesn't seem to work (trojan and that's all..)

Come on...
It's a fake viruse. Most of the cracks seems to tojans.
First desable your antivirus, then install and activate the sw.
After this if all will be ok, enable your Av back and make a scan.
Ok, the Av will detect and erase the "viruses" but you'll have the AlfaDiag working.
Otherwise you got one more solution, if this one it's not so good for you, spend 50 Euro for it. You're my guest.
Good luck
