I finally got it, thanks to "Hollow" poster.
The trick was the FTDI drivers from VAG K+1.4, and choosing, in galletto 1260,
line "0---------------0".

As anyone "juiced" this file? Thanks.

Yes sure, if you are not looking for good+free tuning :D :D
it's knowledge. and knowledge costs money. the more knowledge you put, the more money customer pays for professional results.

I used a tuned file from a dvd, but at 3000 rpm gave me error on ESP. and i put the original file back and everything is ok.
I would like to have a power of 115 -130 horsepower but without destroying the engine. thank you. all the best.

Stop taking files from the net without knowing what they are, what they do...

Youyoukiller files WILL KILL your engine 100% sure we uploaded them for EDUCATION...
The files are downloaded 400.000 times...:stupid:
But the info about the files only read 12000 times...:hmmmm2:

Every day i have 3-5 telephones with problems from wannabe tuners... locked ecu's, killed turbo's, burned pistons

NO ONE will make you files for free. IF they do you are a test item. You will have no service, no one will pay for your dammage. Not even if you go to court. a free file or cheap ebay files will kost you +1000 euro's on dammage repair. Tuners have insurance. becaus even they as 'pro' can make mistake. but there your dammage is covered by insurance.

You toy with clone vagcom and commander, i i don't realy care. if you brake it you can fix it. If you hack aut0data i can live with it helps to prevent mistakes. But do'n mess with your ecu as long you don't have tools and knowledge to repair it.

Chiptuning edc15 will cost you 350euro edc16 450euro wil you risk your engine for it? repairing a blocked ecu will cost you more. ;-) if you have the tools, the files will cost you 200 euro or less...

Always make sure the tuner takes your file and change it. no files from a database... they will always give you problems.

i remapped a w reg vauxhall vectra 2.0 di using galletto 1260 and files from ebay and it worked a treat ive also gone on to do a discovery 2.5 tdi and that worked a treat too so its not really a question of the files or software its a question of the person using them ive got nearly 17 years experience as a mech and around 3 as a tuner :rock:

i use kwp galletto for some years never heard about kiiling engine or ecu with this is't all bull as long you use good files with it.
i agree with you 100% ive remapped a vectra 2.0 di using galletto 1260 and files off ebay and it worked fantastically i went on to do a discovery 2.5tdi and that was great too so really its not the tools its the person using them a bad workman blames his tools:aetsch:

Looking generally, the best is CMD Flash. ORIGINAL, sure :D :D :D
Sure, if you write the Ebay files with it, you can blame it's tool's fault that ECU has blocked or the engine gone broken ;)
Actually, people who buy original chip tuning tools already know that nothing good comes for free or cheap.

+15 turbo pressure (2650mb on your map wich is huge for your turbo) bumm after 10k km maybe

not all galetto can do 1.5dci, try to read your ori file first...should be 40k size...

Hey mate, don?t know if this comes late but you need the cummins insite software and interface with the proper attributes or access permits to get access to recalibrations.
Either ask cummins to sell you one or get a clone (know a guy who sells it for usd3000).

i'm just curious if i will be able to say "this is a good ebay tuned file, use it it's safe". i can understand the kind of people who want to learn to mod their own cars, and work for it, losses nights and hours of reading, but for those who have cars, as a mate above well said, 50k$ or above, and they are ready to try the crap file found on ebay...no comment, no excuse. usually the cost for repairing the car after a bad tune is higher than a pro tune.

VW Touran 2005 tdi -- edc16u1 -eeprom AM29BL802CB -- using Galletto 1260 -- though diagnosic port

Help required, would be really greatful,
the eprom is 8 mbyes
Galletto just reads 1 mbyte, why?
plus can you give me a memory map of this ecu, i have WinOLS, it shows addresses but no descriptions for possible maps, when i load this dump

the galletto does only partial reading ... and not always ... usually it does nor work with edc16 ...

proper tool will do the job ...

if you have list of potential maps you need to recognize them [not everyone is recognize by WinOls] and the do the remap ...

yes seems to have read the ecu. so Galletto 1260 can read edc16u1 through obd2 connector.
i have downloaded from this site a near exact copy of my ecu dump.
someone did a tuning mod on this file also. i would not chance to use it, however. probably good though.

Never heard so much rubbish!! The Files are NOT YOUR tools.. They could have been made by a right muppet.. (Someone just playing with the files- Not tested and UNSAFE)

Muppet File= Melted Pistons, Blown Turbos etc etc etc etc Not all damage will be evident until some time- When its too late!!

A professional tuner would never sell his files (lifes work) 19'000 files on a CD for a fiver!!

Use your loaf..

I could just as easy give all these people asking for files 'Ticking Timebombs' (Files made after weekend binge drinking) Deffo shorting life of Engine/Turbo/CAT etc

before asking for a tuned file to your car , do the diagnostic with VAG-COM/VCDS to be sure that your car is good for tuning ...
than send the dynamic measures blocks to the tuner and he will do the remap matching to the condition of your engine ...

this is how the good remap should look like when you want someone to send you a good tuned file ...

there is no such thing as tutorials for chiptuning. 2 same cars, 2 same engines, 2 same ecu versions have need other settings. So every good tuning can only be a custom tuning; Not a file from a database not a file from an ebay dvd. The file you read out of the ecu you want to tune. nothing else. don't copy maps from one file into an other... It is not working like that. this only brings tears and a lot of repair cost.

Today i did tuning on 9 sprinter vans for same transport company all new all the same serie, all the same engine, and all had different fine tuning to stop turbo spikes. Sure i was possible to read out one ecu. adapt the file flash it back in. and used that file in the other 8 vans... easy done in 3 hours. earning more money than a prostitute in the same time could. Now it took me 8,5 hours. but no turbo spikes fluent torque and powerline. no dips no bumps. and a company that comes back to me when they change the other 36 vans they have. a smile that don't change to tears.

what ecu you want to start leurning on. Do you know the mechanical basics of that engine you are tuning. Do you know how many cc injectors it has? do you know pressure and flow from turbo? do you know max values from injectors, turbo, clutch, etc..

what maps did you allready found. what maps can't you find, what maps are you not sure of?

some software give an indication. but that is not 100% right all the time. soem give EGR as boost controller (ecm driver) some give right map. but map could be inverted. so up is less and down is more...

You can not a tutorial. even if someone give you all maplocations you are not even 50% frome done.

Everyone can ask me. i'm the last one telling chiptunig is a secret. if you prove me you have realy worked on it, you can ask me anything.

One of the best responses i have seen on any forum, there is no black art to tuning just knowledge which can only be acquired from knowledge and experience.

I have have had a few 2009 M3's come through lately from a few guys who have uploaded flash tunes and the Std car made more average horsepower than the tuned ones (more area under the graph)
We have the best dyno money can buy (dynapack) and it was amazing to see these $2000 tuned versions pull less mean power than a std one.... turned out the "tune shop" just got the maps from overseas and loaded them in.....

Sure they do. Seen it numerous times.
Some desk-jockey tunes the file without ever leaving the study.
Testing the file and measuring if it really works is not done.
The only questions are how long the engine needs before the big bang and if the turbo goes first or the engine.

but I was talking about real remap ... not from e-bay dvd ... ;)

back to the topic ...
jcbs I'll give you an advice [you can call it help] before thinking about tuning your engine make sure that the thing under your hood is in good condition ... in another words make some VCDS diagnostic and show it to someone who knows what to look at/for ...

SDI is natural aspirated engine, a diesel engine. That's important. If you can get only 12-15 HP from similar powered petrol engine, 10 HP from SDI seems a lot. I know one guy which has add 22 HP (about 16 KW) to 75 HP SDI engine, but smoke was so big and strong, even an 40 year old truck seems like a little cat versus that SDI...

Okay, now I know some about tuning. Yesterday, I soldered out ECU eeprom, in order to learn immo pin, for full mfd dash adaptation. And then got idea to do something with HP at the same disassemble of ecu. Today put everything in place. Realized and refused that idea. Thank you very much..

NO, you can't. Software can only be loaded into an ecu with the same hardware number.
A part of the software controls how chips inside the ecu work. They setup timers and things like that. If it's another ecu, it could be a different timer-chip of at a different address, and then nothing works anymore.

There is no limitation. It is automatic transmission and shift gear is around 5000 in maximum throttle load.

OK, but did you ever think about consequences! For e.g.: I take you file and in map raise boost on 3 bar, even your turbine can go only to 2.35 for e.g. And then, when you put in car, first throttle to floor and your turbine blows of! What you gonna do?

Your bets bet is pgmfi.org and get reading, should be able to retrofit a p28 or similar obd1 ecu with a loom adapter. Only bother though if your turbo'ing or converting to vtec.

The original file and the remapped one:

for me is the best time ever loking at this kind of crapy files :ridinghorse:
the car may seem to run better, but the reality is a little bit different: he moded only 3 maps, torque starting from 1250rpm +23% (your clutch is santa claus), all the smoque map is amplified by 15 to 30% :)) even at low rpm, you must have excessive smoque on your tail, the only good thing is the tubo map, it is moded without any concerne of AFR values but in good limits, it doesnt break easily !, if you dont pay atention on low rpm where there were no need to changed....
so in conclusion the car may run fast, but the fuel consumption is equal for a v8 :)))
if you want to see how should it be i can give you on pm prints of what you have and what you sould have....

ps: you were lucky with the turbo single :))

so, where do i start :)) ???
the map is similar with the one above but he wasnt lucky enough :))
he guessed almost all the maps to tune but he moded theme like a 5 years old child, and the pictures can show the reality better then i can say...
the car may seem to work but the file is crapy also...and 51mg for an alh with stok injectors is just a dream...also 15-16%+on the vp map is also a bad thing...turbo may be boosted but the single for it is stock so, even if you have 2150mb on the map in reality it is much lower :)) etc etc...and so i can continue...
maybe next time he will have a little more luck....

I don't understand how people can pay for this crapp, you car can run much better with proper remap withou smoke and any danger that something will blow up under your hood.

Have vito 110cdi have read ecu flash and programed with tuned file van started and ran for 10 seconds then cutout and wont start it is like van has poor battery engine turns very slowly have replaced tuned file with origional but still have same problem try to start engine it turns very slowly as though poor battery anybody have any ideas

why dont you ask the person who provided you the tuned file :)))

anyway, if you didnt run the car too long with the bad remap, an now you have the stock file the problem seems to be not related with the tuning process :D

maybe is just a coincidences....

it can be done...but are you sure you want to write this ecu with a clone tool?!?
A kwp2000 can actually recover a bad flash on these ;) Ive flashed many delcos with both main clones and no problem. Beware the fan comes on most times in the process and you must disconnect and reconnect the battery after write.

Normally lost in vehicle with 2-wheel drive around 20hp, maximum 25.
However, I think 257cv, very well.

Sure everyone wants to see the file.

Boost pressure in stage 2 is always on max safe level, according to manuftacturer.

You have two values: On wheels and on Crankshaft. On wheels 136.9 and on shaft 175.4 HP (first value in list).

Well, either the graph for the losses is drawn incorrectly or the losses are added twice.
You can't measure crankshaft power on a rolling road. You have to measure wheel power and losses and add the two values. 136.9 + 20 gives 157, not 175.

And then there's the little matter of the din norm. We should first multiply the wheel power by this figure to get a power that you can compare with others. 0.965 * 136.9 = 132.1
So all I can see is a maximum of 152 HP.
