Hello

i have a PCR2.1 ecu from scrapyard, ori ecu get water damage

now before i open, ecu connected to car and communication is ok immo active displayed on dash

open ecu connected to car same story all ok communication and massage on dash (so no damage during open process) :)

perform unlock procedure as in smok x-can, all ok green feedback massage, read eep, remove all resistors; connect ecu to car -> no more massage esp on and no more communication :torn:

rebuild the boot mode red eep ok unlock ok (i know this must be used once, second time will re-lock ecu)

but connected to car same story no more communication with ecu

what the hack happen, ecu remain in boot mode?

i try to unlock with k-tag but error massage "communication line corrupted" :mad-new:

what can be done? beside other ecu :excitement:

That is a bad manipulation of the ECU and something may have burned, if I look in dk there is a repair with a resistance, I do not remember how it was link sorry ;)

can restore died pcr2.1 ,

ok so i made a mistake but what? i unlock 8 or more ecu in this way i have lab power supply all pc and power supply are on the same GND all are powered thru 3000 APC smart UPS

try and see if you have communication first

engine code is CAYC must be the same or other engine ecu code will be ok like CAYB

u only have to look at these sometime and they fail , strange ecu , l had a spare l tried to kill with loads of writes and unlocking , and was fine , killed it with vag can pro in the end writing sgo on bench , then some just die unlocking the first time ,, l always copy eeprom afew times before l unlock , you problem might be you couldnt check if it was unlocked before you unlocked it

U can't clone a pcr .. need to use old processor from original ecu.

Or use avdi to program used ecu using the info from the original dash and key... other than that you can't use a used ecu.. immo off is also possible but not without other problems. AFAIK

Correct .. but simply clone is not a option.. if u can reball u can resolder the processor.

Thank you for replays, i do not want to clone, i want to adapt used ecu cause the ori get in to swimming in water business and get drowned :)

with smok XCAN - UHDS i made at least 8 of this, but here get stuck with this

what you mean dead ecu..bad flashing or bad unlock?

i done plenty and i mean plenty of pcr2.1 and so far no trouble.
maybe when use crack tools put people in to trouble,
