Check your connections. How are you reading, with chip removed from board, in an adapter or in circuit?

Reading in circuit, damn chip is so small is hard to solder on to it. I soldered two wires in the back 4 on the chip.

Yeah I just did one it's a bitch. But you may have wires in wrong place. They should read fine in circuit

Well I tried reading another chip for a Toyota rav4 and got the same reading. I removed the chip from the board and using the A6 connector I get the 00 readings. It looks like maybe my carprog is no good. I used external power and after numerous no chip detected I got a reading of 00. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170503/d832a421f25d503a29b6cdbedc23c8ba.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170503/5954cef747b190fa7bb17272eb9d288d.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170503/bcdd742df6cf1633594272a713e5dd4f.jpg

Make sure pin 1 one your cable is on pin 1 of the chip.

Also make sure your cable is wired correctly. You can find diagrams for the cable on codecard website. I have found some clone cables are wired wrong

Thanks for the response, I did verify the connector is wired properly and clipped the chip the right way.

Clone or original carprog ? Don't forget to attach the eeprom connector board between carprog unit and a4/a6 connector

does it read 0000 for all eeproms or just that one ? If for all, than you probably need carprog repair kit
